Works extremely well, but feels cheap!
|Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Let me explain... The clicking mechanism in this mouse feels like it's a high quality mouse, but the lack of weight makes the mouse feel cheap - I hope that makes sense! The plastic it's made of feels like it can take a beating - it's just the weight! There's a button that lets you change the resolution of the mouse for those games that require precision moves (sniper mode anyone?) The battery is rated for 9 months - I won't complain, you can't expect a battery to last forever! It's definitely an improvement over the wired el-cheapo gaming mouse I was using previously, so I won't be overly critical! I'd recommend to friends!

Good value for wireless mouse
|Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. For what this is, it works exactly as you'd want it to. Good resolution, excellent speed and no perceivable lag with bluetooth connection. Multiple buttons for some customization, but not overwhelming if you want to keep it simple. Plug and play. For this price point, it is awfully hard to beat. If you want pretty colors and 20 customizable buttons, you'll need to pay more, obviously- but for the rest of us, I'll take the G305.

Great mouse for small hands
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I came from a Logitech g502, which was too big for my 16cm x 9cm hands. I like how much lighter this one is (89g with an AA lithium battery) compared to the 127g g502. The lack of a thumb rest is actually nice. And this being wireless on my small desk is a plus. It isn't 100% comfortable, but not at all uncomfortable. Just neutral feeling. Buttons feel like they need to be pushed further to actuate, but I don't mind.

Without a doubt the best value in wireless gaming.
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Regularly on sale for $40-$50, the G305 Lightspeed has everything you need for high-level wireless gaming without any of the superfluous features that often drives up the price. There's no RGB, so I kid you not when I say the battery will typically last 3-6 MONTHS with daily use. There's no built-in rechargeable battery, but you can easily use rechargeable AAs (and you should) and get great performance. It's not a "lightweight" mouse but it's not heavy either, with a simple, easy to handle shape. There are two side-buttons if you want them and a good scroll wheel. And that's it, so if you're one of those who wants a million buttons for MMOs or what have you, this thing will feel really basic. Most importantly, it has a great optical sensor and great tensioning on the main mouse buttons. The clicks feel solid, mechanical, and precise (with none of the mushy feel that a lot of supposedly high-end mice have these days), and it's easy to throw around with precision on the mouse mat. And the lack of wires is such a game changer that once you go wireless, you will never go back. For players on a budget (especially for shooters), you cannot do better than this without doubling the price.

Great product
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. The mouse is really high quality and it works so good. The battery lasts forever. I’ve had it for a month and I have not had to change the battery, even though I’m a pretty avid gamer.

Responsive, Smooth and Lightweight
|Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.PROS: • Smooth movements • Simple design • Lightweight • Easy Setup • Everyday Use CONS: • Not Ergonomic Review: The Logitech - G305 Wireless Optical Gaming Mouse has extremely smooth movements, which can be adjusted on the fly. Great feature to have a button under the scroll button to adjust how much drag there is to the mouse, this is DPI Cycling. Compared to other Logitech mice, the G305 is very lightweight. You wouldn’t think there’s much of a difference in mice weight but there is once you try different mice and how much less effort there is to actually get it to move which in turn adds to the responsiveness. Setting up is a cinch! Simply plug in the USB wireless adapter to your computer and you have your mouse working within seconds. You can then adjust settings of your mouse with the Logitech software. The newest software (9.00.42) now supports the G305 mouse. You may want to update this before installing your new mouse. There are a lot of options to adjust for your mouse using this software, such as button assignments, DPI Sensitivity Levels, Power Mode. Using this mouse isn’t just for gaming, it’s a great everyday use mouse as well. The Logitech software lets you customize the buttons to your liking for daily use, then adjust them for gaming use creating a profile for each, then switching between the two as needed. Although this mouse works great, it has a simple design, no frills, no fancy stuff to it. It is not ergonomic. All in all, this is a great mouse. It has the versatility for daily and gaming use. It’s smooth and very responsive with great customization options.

Yep, it's a mouse...
|Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Seems to me to be a pretty standard mouse. I can't really see the difference between this and any other mouse at this price point. It's small and lightweight. The receiver tucks away inside which makes for easy travel if you so choose. I still prefer the logitech trackball over a standard mouse for comfort reasons. All in all I wouldn't toss this one out.

Light and Precise
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I have probably gone through at least 5 of these through out the years. They are excellent light weight gaming mice. They are precise and good for fps or any kind of gaming. The bad thing about this product is that it is not build well, but what can you expect for something that is $40. The scroll wheel tends to go bad for some of these. Other than that I would highly recommend it for $40 entry level gaming mouse.

Work great!
|Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Unboxing the G305 and it includes a basic setup guide, battery, mouse and a USB extension cable. I have a cable from another Logitech mouse, but it's always nice to have additional cables lying around. The dongle is like most mice today and is located inside the battery compartment of the mouse. First impressions. I swapped out my G603 dongle for the G305 and it works. No it wouldn't work with the other dongle, I tried lol. I went to Facebook, yeah really, and scrolled my wall. I figured that's a good place to try the scroll wheel. Logitech replace the 603 because it had a hardware scroll issue and half the time it would scroll the wrong direction. So far the replacement has worked flawlessly. The same can be said for the 305. Out of the box it works exactly as it should. The backward and forward buttons on the thumb-side worked in Chrome to advance or go back a page. Left and right click works as expected. Out of the box, the speed and movement of the mouse work really good for me. Not sure if it's because it's new, but it glides really nice. All in all this will be a great backup mouse or I may use it on an older system I'm rebuilding.

Might be my new favorite
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This mouse has been fantastic so far over the last couple of days. The weight with the included alkaline AA battery is a bit heavier than I like, but I ordered some AAA to AA battery adapters from Amazon and bought some AAA lithium batteries when I bought the mouse itself and couldn't be happier with the weight. With the AAA Li Battery, the weight is about 84g vs 99g with the alkaline AA. That makes the mouse lighter than my Roccat Kone Pure Owl-eye, but no where near the 67g of the Finalmouse Ultralight Pro. Ergonomics wise I wish the sides were a flat instead of curved the the taper inwards is good and provides plenty of grip when lifting the mouse to re-position. Texture of the materials is good, provides grip without making my hand sweet during play. Make sure you download the Logitech G software, by default the mouse is running in Low Power mode out of the box which limits USB polling rate to 125Hz but provides longer battery life. Right now, this i probably my favorite mouse I have used since my Logitech G500s that sadly died when dropped down a flight of stairs.

Great wireless mouse
|Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This is my review for the Logitech G305 mouse. The mouse tracks great and overall a nice mouse. I’ll explain a few things that make me give it a 4 Star as well as a couple things I personally don’t like. It lacks being able to plug it in. It does not have a rechargeable battery for it. Being that they label it for a wireless gaming mouse I would have like to see it have a rechargeable battery and a way to plug in to charge as well as use if battery gets low. Nothing worse then playing a game like pubg and get into a fight and can’t aim and don’t have a AA battery around. It also uses a wireless receiver and does not allow for Bluetooth. So you still will use up a USB port. The mouse itself tracks great. 1ms response. Very smooth and has a few customizable options. You can change the dpi and has a button that will cycle thru different dpi settings. You can have up to 6 settings. I prefer just 2 or 3. One low and one higher. Mouse is smaller but i personally don’t mind that. I love that the wireless receiver piece fits inside the mouse if you pack it. I would have liked the dpi change button to be on the left of the left mouse button and 2 buttons, one to go up and one to go down. I also just like having a precision aim button. I use a G502 and love it. Overall mouse works great and just need to get used to if your like me and used to using a bigger mouse or one that has more buttons on it. But for how well it tracks and responds and how smooth it is, well worth having. Just remember that you can also go into the software and calibrate the mouse to the mousepad orb surface you are using. If your looking for a wireless mouse, and don’t mind not being able to plug it in to charge or use this mouse is for you.

Can't beat it for the price
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Bought it on sale for $35 and at that price there isn't any other mouse that comes close to the value. I've had it for around 2 years now I believe, and the "G" logo on the battery cover is worn off but that doesn't bother me. I do have one slight inconvenience though, the back button on the side sometimes clicks itself 2 times instead of one, very rarely 3 times. It has NOT affected me in game whatsoever so its just on the day to day basis when it gets annoying. The battery life is AMAZING, like i said I've had it for around 2 years and I've changed the battery maybe 3 times. (I'd attach an image but it's saying the upload failed)

Conservative.... but a good value!
|Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. The G305 is a step down from the G903 for gaming, but other than some missing bells and whistles, the G305 has essentially the same profile, feel, and performance for gaming applications. Not having the availability of a Bluetooth connection was somewhat disappointing but taking up a USB port with the unified receiver is not problem provided you have the USB port available. I tried the unified receiver with the USB pass-through on the Logitech G513 gaming keyboard, and the performance was excellent with no perceptible lag for any games evaluated. Once upon a time using a wireless mouse for gaming was risky due to the potential for lag at critical times, but Logitech has moved past this issue and although the “old school” gamers may insist that a wired connection is still more dependable, I found no issues with the wireless connection reliability and performance. Logitech has the shape of mice down to a fine art, and the G305 feels good in hand, and its hard to explain exactly but it is both light in hand but feels rugged and durable in construction. If you want to spend more, the G903 is the better gaming mouse, but the G305 provides essentially the same performance at a more affordable price point.
