Disappointingly slow

I was hoping it would be a faster mouse than my old Logitech, but it's weirdly sluggish. It works okay for my personal needs, but I can't use it when working from home because it slows me down too much.

I cannot figure out if the transmitter within the mouse went bad or the usb receiver but I have only had the mouse for less than a year and it’s quit working.
