This mouse has been fantastic so far over the last couple of days. The weight with the included alkaline AA battery is a bit heavier than I like, but I ordered some AAA to AA battery adapters from Amazon and bought some AAA lithium batteries when I bought the mouse itself and couldn't be happier with the weight. With the AAA Li Battery, the weight is about 84g vs 99g with the alkaline AA. That makes the mouse lighter than my Roccat Kone Pure Owl-eye, but no where near the 67g of the Finalmouse Ultralight Pro. Ergonomics wise I wish the sides were a flat instead of curved the the taper inwards is good and provides plenty of grip when lifting the mouse to re-position. Texture of the materials is good, provides grip without making my hand sweet during play. Make sure you download the Logitech G software, by default the mouse is running in Low Power mode out of the box which limits USB polling rate to 125Hz but provides longer battery life. Right now, this i probably my favorite mouse I have used since my Logitech G500s that sadly died when dropped down a flight of stairs.

So I've been testing out the Logitech G305 gaming mouse for the last few days and I must say that I am thoroughly impressed. Included in the package is a AA battery, the USB adapter, and an extender for the receiver. The extender is great for those with setups where all of the USB ports are at the back of the computer. Connecting the USB receiver to my laptop was simple and the gaming mouse lit up instantly (like all Logitech products) and was ready to go. The shape and size of this mouse is amazing and fits comfortably in my hand. Downloading the Logitech Gaming Software (current version 9.0) from Logitech's website opened up even more options to tweak to the user's specific tastes, including the option to also install the Overwolf software. In the setting you can create user-specific profiles that will be stored on the mouse or computer. Precision is key in most, if not all online PC games and this mouse has amazing accuracy. All in all I really love this mouse and recommend it to anyone looking for a nice gaming mouse to start off with.

Out of the box, the G305 feels a little on the cheap side. It's just a basic mouse with no textured grip and no contours for your hand. Lacks any real ergonomics and only has two side buttons. It looks and feels a lot like a basic $20 mouse you would buy. It is wireless, but requires a USB receiver, no Bluetooth option. The scroll wheel feels cheap and clunky. Performance wise the mouse is very responsive and accurate. I had no problems using it, nor did it ever seem to lose connection at any time. It's a pretty light-weight mouse, even with a AA battery installed. I would have liked a little more weight to a gaming mouse. Overall, this is a solid, basic mouse for gaming. It's a no frills, entry level mouse that has no premium features or design qualities. I actually prefer the much less expensive Logitech G300S for it's design and functionality, but that is a wired mouse. I would stick with wired.

I was always afraid of going wireless for a gaming mouse. I know that there will always be a lag, even if it's in the nanomillimicroetcetc seconds level. This mouse however compares so well with my wired gaming mouse (yes, I am ditching my wired mouse for this). The size itself is just right. My gaming mouse which I thought was a standard was a little bigger-- this mouse is sized right (I don't have big hands). It does feel a little flimsy at first-- the make is so plasticky that it seems hollow. When I started using it though, it felt like I was just using my other wired gaming mouse but with a better handle. You can download the G software that makes me customize settings based on the game I am playing, not to mention, customizing the buttons is a breeze. Don't be fooled by the light construction of the mouse-- it is very capable!!

The Logitetch - G305 Wireless Optical Gaming mouse is a great overall everyday and gaming mouse. I feel like this mouse finds a nice sweet spot in size and feel. It fits and feels good in my hand and I like the 2 side buttons for added functionality without being too overwhelming. The wireless connection is strong and the mouse connected right up to my computer with zero issues. I'm not a huge fan of the bigger size models or the ones with 18 buttons. This to me is simple and done right. I will be using this mouse for every day use going forward and highly recommend it to anyone that is looking for a new mouse.

Almost perfect for the price point

If you're looking for a wireless gaming mouse at this price point this is the best option by far. The Hero sensor is incredible, giving 3360/3366 like performance at 10x the power efficiency. The wireless tech is perfect with no perceptible latency. However, clearly the G Pro design was not created with wireless in mind. The addition of a AA battery in the rear of the mouse throws off up the weight distribution. So you will need to go with a lithium AA or AAA+converter to minimize this effect. Not a big deal, as I can still aim extremely well with this mouse. However, I can not recommend this for competitive CS or other esports. The clicks are slightly stiffer and louder than other Logitech mice, but not too bad. I think most people will find them about right. The scroll wheel has a very good feel, though it grinds slightly. As long as this does not get worse it's not a problem for me. Would definitely recommend the G305, but consider other options and see what's right for you.

If you like the GPro/G203 shape then this is the an excellent option if you're looking for a wireless version. Use a lithium battery and the weight is only 4g more than the wired version. Combine that with excellent battery life, a great sensor and top notch build quality and this is my new mouse to beat. Loved it so much I bought both colors.

Good tech in a gaming mouse from reputable company

For a wireless gaming mouse, I have been very impressed with how responsive the Logitech G305 Wireless Optical Gaming Mouse was compared to a wired version; this is due to the 1 ms response, up to 12000 dpi resolution and HERO sensor. It is very simple to plug-and-play right out of the box. My only drawback with wireless mice that are not Bluetooth is they take up a usb port. It's especially frustrating if you're using a laptop, like myself, which doesn't have very many usb ports to choose from. The mouse itself is relatively small compared to some I've used however still feels ergonomically sound. It has several customizable buttons which come in handy while gaming. Since it is produced by a very reputable company that has been in this business much longer than many in this gaming market, I feel it's priced right and a great option for those in the market for an upgrade.

Excellent. The size is perfect, and the extra buttons are very helpful when gaming. The fact that it is wireless is nice, too, in that there isn't a cord getting in the way when moving the mouse. I also noted that the feet have a relief in the bottom which makes the mouse glide even smoother over the mouse pad. All in all, I'd recommend this mouse all day long.

Those looking for a well performing mouse suitable for gaming that won't cost 3 figures, this is definitely a strong contender. Overall, it's a fairly basic mouse with only the essential buttons: back and forward, left and right, a wheel with a click button, and a button to change the DPI sensitivity. It doesn't feel nearly as premium in the hand as some of Logitech's other gaming mice, but it's also a fair bit cheaper. If performance is the primary concern for you, with hand feel being a secondary consideration, this is a mouse you should be looking at.

This is an extremely fast wireless mouse with a 12000 DPI sensor. It comes with 6 programmable buttons and can be programmed with the Logitech Gaming Software. It is lightweight and standard sized to fit most hands easily. My only complaint is that it isn't ergonomically designed so I wouldn't use it as my primary gaming mouse if I plan on playing for a couple of hours. It is great however as a mouse for work, especially for CADD applications and multiple monitors where with a click of a button by the wheel you can adjust the DPI settings to speedily navigate across multiple monitors or slow the cursor down if you are trying to get precise placement (for CADD or game play).

Let me explain... The clicking mechanism in this mouse feels like it's a high quality mouse, but the lack of weight makes the mouse feel cheap - I hope that makes sense! The plastic it's made of feels like it can take a beating - it's just the weight! There's a button that lets you change the resolution of the mouse for those games that require precision moves (sniper mode anyone?) The battery is rated for 9 months - I won't complain, you can't expect a battery to last forever! It's definitely an improvement over the wired el-cheapo gaming mouse I was using previously, so I won't be overly critical! I'd recommend to friends!

For what this is, it works exactly as you'd want it to. Good resolution, excellent speed and no perceivable lag with bluetooth connection. Multiple buttons for some customization, but not overwhelming if you want to keep it simple. Plug and play. For this price point, it is awfully hard to beat. If you want pretty colors and 20 customizable buttons, you'll need to pay more, obviously- but for the rest of us, I'll take the G305.

    Great mouse for small hands

I came from a Logitech g502, which was too big for my 16cm x 9cm hands. I like how much lighter this one is (89g with an AA lithium battery) compared to the 127g g502. The lack of a thumb rest is actually nice. And this being wireless on my small desk is a plus. It isn't 100% comfortable, but not at all uncomfortable. Just neutral feeling. Buttons feel like they need to be pushed further to actuate, but I don't mind.

Regularly on sale for $40-$50, the G305 Lightspeed has everything you need for high-level wireless gaming without any of the superfluous features that often drives up the price. There's no RGB, so I kid you not when I say the battery will typically last 3-6 MONTHS with daily use. There's no built-in rechargeable battery, but you can easily use rechargeable AAs (and you should) and get great performance. It's not a "lightweight" mouse but it's not heavy either, with a simple, easy to handle shape. There are two side-buttons if you want them and a good scroll wheel. And that's it, so if you're one of those who wants a million buttons for MMOs or what have you, this thing will feel really basic. Most importantly, it has a great optical sensor and great tensioning on the main mouse buttons. The clicks feel solid, mechanical, and precise (with none of the mushy feel that a lot of supposedly high-end mice have these days), and it's easy to throw around with precision on the mouse mat. And the lack of wires is such a game changer that once you go wireless, you will never go back. For players on a budget (especially for shooters), you cannot do better than this without doubling the price.
