If you want a basic wireless mouse that has great performance and battery life without any extra features, this one is it. The purple looks great also.

    Light and Precise

I have probably gone through at least 5 of these through out the years. They are excellent light weight gaming mice. They are precise and good for fps or any kind of gaming. The bad thing about this product is that it is not build well, but what can you expect for something that is $40. The scroll wheel tends to go bad for some of these. Other than that I would highly recommend it for $40 entry level gaming mouse.

Thanks for your detailed review of the Logitech G305! It's valuable to hear that you find it to be a lightweight and precise mouse, especially for FPS gaming, at an affordable price point. We understand your frustration about the scroll wheel potentially going bad, and we'll pass this feedback along to our product team.

    Egg is life

This shape has been around for the longest time, since late 2016. Love this egg shape. You can use a AA shell that can be used with a AAA battery. Only downside is the weight compared to the modern mice that are out today.

    Great wireless mouse

This is my review for the Logitech G305 mouse. The mouse tracks great and overall a nice mouse. I’ll explain a few things that make me give it a 4 Star as well as a couple things I personally don’t like. It lacks being able to plug it in. It does not have a rechargeable battery for it. Being that they label it for a wireless gaming mouse I would have like to see it have a rechargeable battery and a way to plug in to charge as well as use if battery gets low. Nothing worse then playing a game like pubg and get into a fight and can’t aim and don’t have a AA battery around. It also uses a wireless receiver and does not allow for Bluetooth. So you still will use up a USB port. The mouse itself tracks great. 1ms response. Very smooth and has a few customizable options. You can change the dpi and has a button that will cycle thru different dpi settings. You can have up to 6 settings. I prefer just 2 or 3. One low and one higher. Mouse is smaller but i personally don’t mind that. I love that the wireless receiver piece fits inside the mouse if you pack it. I would have liked the dpi change button to be on the left of the left mouse button and 2 buttons, one to go up and one to go down. I also just like having a precision aim button. I use a G502 and love it. Overall mouse works great and just need to get used to if your like me and used to using a bigger mouse or one that has more buttons on it. But for how well it tracks and responds and how smooth it is, well worth having. Just remember that you can also go into the software and calibrate the mouse to the mousepad orb surface you are using. If your looking for a wireless mouse, and don’t mind not being able to plug it in to charge or use this mouse is for you.

Can't beat it for the price

Bought it on sale for $35 and at that price there isn't any other mouse that comes close to the value. I've had it for around 2 years now I believe, and the "G" logo on the battery cover is worn off but that doesn't bother me. I do have one slight inconvenience though, the back button on the side sometimes clicks itself 2 times instead of one, very rarely 3 times. It has NOT affected me in game whatsoever so its just on the day to day basis when it gets annoying. The battery life is AMAZING, like i said I've had it for around 2 years and I've changed the battery maybe 3 times. (I'd attach an image but it's saying the upload failed)

The G305 is a step down from the G903 for gaming, but other than some missing bells and whistles, the G305 has essentially the same profile, feel, and performance for gaming applications. Not having the availability of a Bluetooth connection was somewhat disappointing but taking up a USB port with the unified receiver is not problem provided you have the USB port available. I tried the unified receiver with the USB pass-through on the Logitech G513 gaming keyboard, and the performance was excellent with no perceptible lag for any games evaluated. Once upon a time using a wireless mouse for gaming was risky due to the potential for lag at critical times, but Logitech has moved past this issue and although the “old school” gamers may insist that a wired connection is still more dependable, I found no issues with the wireless connection reliability and performance. Logitech has the shape of mice down to a fine art, and the G305 feels good in hand, and its hard to explain exactly but it is both light in hand but feels rugged and durable in construction. If you want to spend more, the G903 is the better gaming mouse, but the G305 provides essentially the same performance at a more affordable price point.

Almost perfect for the price point

If you're looking for a wireless gaming mouse at this price point this is the best option by far. The Hero sensor is incredible, giving 3360/3366 like performance at 10x the power efficiency. The wireless tech is perfect with no perceptible latency. However, clearly the G Pro design was not created with wireless in mind. The addition of a AA battery in the rear of the mouse throws off up the weight distribution. So you will need to go with a lithium AA or AAA+converter to minimize this effect. Not a big deal, as I can still aim extremely well with this mouse. However, I can not recommend this for competitive CS or other esports. The clicks are slightly stiffer and louder than other Logitech mice, but not too bad. I think most people will find them about right. The scroll wheel has a very good feel, though it grinds slightly. As long as this does not get worse it's not a problem for me. Would definitely recommend the G305, but consider other options and see what's right for you.

I love this mouse! This model is larger and fits my hand nicer than other wireless mice I have used. It is highly responsive and never needs to wake up. The configuration software is easy to use. It allows changes to DPI sensitivity, reports per second, power mode, and button assignments. I have it set to "LO" power and the slowest report rate but still have no issues. One of my favorite features is the DPI button on the mouse allowing me to instantly speed up or slow down the movement. My only complaint is that the mouse is really lightweight. I would be happy if it had some more weight or even better if weights could be customized.

its good for a beginning gaming mouse the price is reasonable in my opinion. the color options are nice too i got mine in white its just so much better than using a wired mouse to play. only thing i would point out is that the right click is sensitive at first but afterwards its fine not a big issue. only con was that i couldnt pick it up near my location and the shipped got delayed often.

Good lightweight mouse. Yet does not feel cheap. Used for gaming and data entry work. Comfortable in palm but that is subjective and feel preference will vary for individuals. Still would recommend for a lightweight option.
