We had to return the original headset since it did not work after a few weeks but the second one has been reliable.

Controls on side do not work for Xbox so it is a bit of a hassle to get it set yp to comfort levels.

I have not been able to get the microphone to work. The audio is fine but the main reason I got this was to communicate. The earphones are heavy and hot, probably not suitable for a headset for work.

Posted .Hello, the G432 was designed for the gaming and built for durability and comfort, so this is more than suitable headset for work. If the microphone on your G432 isn't working, here are some things to try:
1. Make sure the microphone cable (marked with pink and an image of a microphone on the jack) is firmly connected to the microphone input jack of your source device.
2. If you're connected to a computer, be sure you've properly configured your computer's microphone input settings (see your computer's documentation for more information).
3. Test your microphone with a different application on your computer, like a basic sound recording program.
4. Check that your headset's microphone mute switch isn't activated.
The mute switch is located on the ear cup of the headset, or on the inline control pod, if there is one.

I returned them the next day due to the fact they were loose and I did not get the full affect of stereo. There was also a red light in the microphone that was distracting. Otherwise they would have been okay.

It didnt work for my VPN, which is tapping into my work desktop using audio to hear the playback. It's good if you want to use it for a short amount of time. It just didn't feel good to me, compared to my cloud x headset that I purchased from Gamestop.
