For the gamer, it's the difference of someone sneaking up from behind or being aware of some one behind the wall. I took moment to find a Dolby 7.1 demo on youtube. With the new ATMOS(here) surround sound I was able to truly appreciate what the sound director intended me to here. GREAT FEATURES: actual volume control knob on the side, left ear muff extra long cord with mic/speaker plug adapter for both USB and one for split microphone and speaker plug ins soft ear pads, large for true surround feel adjustable padded headband microphone mutes when flipped up ( privacy ) possible G-HUB interaction for saving game settings in the cloud, works with other Logitech devices (mice, keyboard)

|Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I got this headset primarily for Xbox use as a replacement for an old Plantronix set that had issues shortly after use. This is a really straight forward, plug and play headset. I opened the box, took the wrapping off, hooked it up to my Xbox and was off to the races, no need to install drivers or any extra software. The headphones are sturdy while very lightweight and have big earphone cups that have stayed comfortable for hours straight of gaming. I’m super picky about heavy headsets or anything that is uncomfortable to wear so this immediately impressed me. The connection cord is about 5-6ft long which is plenty enough slack, almost too much for a console user as your controller will generally always be 2-3ft away but great for a computer user where your headset may need to reach a further distance to plug into your hardware. Either way, it’s mostly a non-issue. Friends have reported that the exporting sound is great and seems to filter out a bit of unnecessary sounds like breathing, chewing, sighing, etc. As for incoming sound, it’s definitely clear coming through the headset but even at max volume comes in a little low. This is definitely my biggest gripe as sometimes I’m straining to hear faint sounds like enemy footsteps. The headset has adjustable fitting sizes, volume control on the back of the headset, and flip to mute controls. I should note I switched to using this on my PS4 as well with no issue. I definitely recommend picking one of these up if you want a solid, light, headset with great sound that’s easy to use.

Extremely comfortable - not too much pressure on the top of my head or on the ears , and the flip-up-to-mute microphone is fantastic! So much better than the Logitech Pro headset I got last year, and that was no slouch! (Is any Logitech product a slouch? I think not!) Sound quality is great, lots of bass, lots of volume, and the 7.1 surround really immerses you into the game you're playing! Definitely worth a try regardless of what you plan on using them for - these will be used on my gaming system!
