I was pleasantly surprised at how comfortable these headphones were. Sound control was well located on the left ear near to the microphone. Sound quality is quite nice and range is good as well.

The sound/mic quality on these headphones is incredible. I spend over half of my day, every day, using these during gaming sessions and conference calls. The cord is extremely long, which allows me to open my office door, if needed, without removing the headset.

I got it awhile back, but stopped using it for quality reasons. Dont get me wrong, the mic sounds amazing, sound quality is good. But when I have the mic up (physical mute), its captures sensitive sounds even though it should be muted. it also is sensitive enough to capture noises when you aren't making any.

    Impressive and comfortable

I had a much cheaper set of headphones with a microphone that were actually quite good for the money but I needed to upgrade due to their cheap plastic overall construction. And so I set forth trying this Logitech surround sound unit. The first thing you'll recognize is there is some "heft" to this headphone. The construction is first rate and these are very comfortable to wear. The ear covers are larger than what I had and are truly covering the ear. While these seem heavy in comparison to the lighter weight unit I had, these are so comfortable that in a two hour session I used to test them, that I forgot I was wearing them. Sound reproduction is quite good. I tested using the audio cable that came with the headset and plugged into the audio port of the gaming desktop I had; there are usb and a connector that splits the speaker and microphone into two connections if needed. For the price of this headset you really cannot beat the comfort and overall quality of the sound; I was impressed that people were actually able to hear me clearly with this unit when I communicated with them; the swing arm microphone is able to be bent toward your mouth and there is no breathing sounds transmitted nor is there an issue with voice volume. The volume controls are logically placed on the left ear cup and is large enough to feel without having to take off to locate; this is nice since the volume controls on the cheaper unit I had were not so easy to control and having the microphone boom able to swing up to deactivate when not needed was an improvement over the cheaper unit's sliding switch which was very small to activate. And since I have had incredible past experiences with Logitech products in the past, this did not disappoint at all - it just continued my impressions that Logitech produces great products at a reasonable price.

    Mic doesn't stay in place

This headset is Ok overall, it is comfortable enough for me to wear for 2+ hours, and the audio is good for the price. I've used it for about 4 months at this point, and my biggest issue is that the Microphone boom wants to return to a straight position (it doesn't stay close to my mouth). This means that I have to keep adjusting the mic every 2-3 minutes in order for people to hear me.

First off, the sound quality is pretty good for this price range. They can sound a bit "tinny" at times, but overall there is a decent balance in sound, with maybe the higher frequencies being a bit rolled off. These are a jack of all trades headset, with a standard 3.5mm cable for consoles, plus an included USB and audio/video splitter for PC use. The surround sound works pretty well for PC games. I can't comment on the support for DTS:X. The headset feels fairly cheap, with everything feeling like lower quality plastic. Not sure how durable these are, but I would be use care when handling them. The mic and 3.5mm cable are fixed, so there's no replacing either if they get damaged. The mic works better with PC than consoles, where the sound becomes thinner and softer to those you are playing with online. These aren't the most comfortable of the headsets I have tried. They have a little bit of clamping force that can become irritating after a while if you have a larger than average head. The ear cups aren't very soft and have a cheap feel to them. Your ears will get warm after using these a while. Ear cups don't appear to be removable. These also do a poor job of blocking out external room noise, which also means they have a lot of sound leakage. Overall, not a bad headset, but for $10 more you can get the Logitech G-Pro headset, which is of a higher build quality and more comfortable to wear. G-Pro also has a detachable mic and cable. If you can catch the G432 on sale for around $50 they would be a solid choice.

A disappointing followup to the G430 model

    Posted .
This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.

I've owned the previous iteration of this headset for many years. The sound quality on the G430 model is great and the microphone is good enough. The biggest issue I've had is they break quite easily after only a few months of use. The plastic will crack and chip off until eventually one of the earcups snaps and dangles loose. Considering the previous version is discontinued, I decided to go for the next one up. I've had more issues with the G432's in one day than I ever did with the last pair. The mic quality is noticeably worse. The headphones allow you to hear your mic back and the G432's loopback is incredibly loud and sounds robotic. The only fix is downloading Logitech's horrible G Hub software which then introduces a new problem, the haunted mic volume. It'll consistently adjust itself based on how loud or quiet you're speaking. It's a good idea, but practically every little background noise can be picked up. Perhaps I got a faulty pair or the USB adapter is bad, but it's a noticeable step down from the multiple G430's I've owned in the past.

    Great Sound, terrible Body

This is the second time I've gone through a Logitech headset. The sound quality is very good while it lasts, but they break very easily. And this "break" should definitely be considered as part of "wear and tear" of the model. If you look at the image of the model, you can see what I'm talking about. Just above the ear muffs where you can adjust the size for you head, there's that small opening that allows the speakers to move side to side. There. That's what you have to worry about on these Logitech models. I've gone through two unique models by Logitech because best buy had to replace my last one with a similar model, so i knew what i was going to get out of it again because i was on warranty. But don't expect them to last more than a year. It's built to break. I give this 2 stars, because they're nice... While it lasts.

The sound is very good and the microphone is solid; a good value. The problem is that they're incredibly uncomfortable. The headband angles the cups outward and isn't flexible, so they dig into my head and I can't wear them for long periods of time. I'm replacing them and saving them as an emergency backup set only.

I use this on my PS4, and its really my first time using one of these in the last 10 years... The 7.1 surround sound is awesome, you can really hear different "quadrants" of sound while playing. Hear to the left, the right, behind you, etc... I like the flip to mute functionality of the mic... you don't have to ever wonder if its muted or not. Overall comfort is great, lots of padding and cushion on the ears. I can use this for several hours with no discomfort.

    Exceptionally poor design, self damaging

    Posted .
This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.

When they work, the sound quality is good, but Logitech either completely fell down on the job from a basic design perspective, or they have purposefully designed these headphones to fail after only minimal use so you will go out and buy another pair. In short, the design failing is SO bad, I think the poor quality must be intentional. I have had these headphones for a little over a week, and they are already failing. Why? Because the usb cord that powers them and provides the connection to the pc has an inflexible connector that projects a full inch downwards from the ear piece, and the usb connector is very weak. That means every time I turn my head, roll my shoulders or even breathe deeply, the usb cord wiggles free and I lose all sound. This problem has gotten progressively worse over the short time I have owned these headphones, to the point where they have become essentially unusable. I suppose I could tape the connector, but I really shouldn't need to perform stopgap repairs on a pair of headphones a week after buying them. I have had a lot of success with Logitech products in the past, but these headphones reek of planned obsolescence. I do not recommend them, at all. I will be returning them to the store shortly.

    Great Headphones But Bad Durability

This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.

my headphones held up for about a year until i noticed something about the hinges, the place where those four screws are. on the outside they start cracking and eventually snapped. i would ask for a refund but we are off warranty and yes i am thinking about a different set of headphones. the G430s are great headphones but i need that durability. so here i am sitting down at my desk looking at headphones and looking online for fixes for this, nothing. if logitech gets back to my reviews and i get an email about what my issue is i will gladly show them what is wrong.

Low Volume Issue - Not fixable - Don't Buy

I just wanted a decent sounding pair of headphone for gaming as the fake leather on my previous pair started flaking. These seemed good, had great reviews so I gave them a shot. Wrong move. These have an inherent issue with max dB/loudness/volume where it caps at a certain point and there is nothing you can do about it. I went through forums and articles and this apparently has been a long standing problem that has never been fixed. The max volume level sounds okay but there are situations where I need the audio a bit louder and the fact that there is nothing I can do about it made me pretty irritated. Returned these and bought the Razer Blackshark V2+...night and day! Wayyy better audio quality and easily surpassed the volume level of these logitechs. Also more comfortable and they were only $100, you get what you pay for, spend the extra $50 and the Roccat or Razers you won't be disappointed.

Hello. Thank you for taking the time to review the G432 headset. I'm sorry to hear that you weren't happy with the headset due to the volume. I know you've moved on to another headset, but when you were using the G432 did you have GHub downloaded and installed on your computer? Also, were you using the USB or just the 3.5mm into a headphone port? Either way, hopefully we can win your support again at Logitech G.

    Not true 7.1 gaming

These only have 2 drivers and a stereo connection (3.5mm). This isn’t true 7.1. If you’re using a Nintendo switch, that’s only capable of 5.1 over HDMI. While this headset works well, it’s not a true surround sound experience. While playing games like Fortnite, I couldn’t tell where people were any better on these than I could on a lower priced stereo headset.

    Seemingly Poor Quality

I first bought this headset At the beginning of July. Half way through august i noticed there was a crack in the cord from it being packed, which caused a short and the microphone would cut in and out while using it. I contacted logitec, and they sent me a replacement relatively quickly. But the replacement came in with another short. This time in the earphone. One side works perfectly fine, the other there is no sound what so ever. 2 out of two is not very good odds in my opinion. Also, the head band is too tight and painfully squeezes my ears after wearing them for any length of time.
