Spectacular mouse for the sale price of $33. I don't feel anything different from the regular G502 all black mouse. I wanted a white mouse to go with my build, but the KDA version was out of my budget.

I loved my first G502 Hero so much I bought a second one. My first one lasted a long time under heavy use, but it began to have problems holding down the right click and double clicking the left click. I bought this second one expecting the same quality that I knew from the first and right out of the box I am disappointed. The mouse is undeniably cheaper, weaker buttons, flimsier scroll wheel, no sleeve on the cable, and cheaper plastic all around. I would not have minded any of these things if it was branded as a different model, but expecting the same product that I had previously bought I feel cheated.

If you already have a 502 with the never model sensor, then maybe this isn’t a must. That being said, the new look is sharp, and if you love this mouse as much as I do it may be worth the price tag. Best gaming mouse I’ve ever encountered (though Corsair’s Nightsword is a fair second). I’ve read some other reviews that say it integrates with the new Logitech software better, now. I never had an issue before with my 1st gen 502 and this one does just fine as well.

This mouse is great. I've been using it for a few weeks for both work and gaming, and I love it! The ability to adjust the weight in the base is a huge plus for me. I was able to add just enough weight so the mouse is more stable when I'm doing detailed work; I don't feel like the pointer is about to take off on its own when I least expect it. I also like the ability to not only set up up to 3 different DPI sensitivity profiles, and to add additional DPI levels within each profile, but also switch between all of them effortlessly. The weighted scroll wheel is also a nice touch; if I need to scroll to the bottom of a long document, I can simply unlock the wheel so that it spins freely, and then give it a spin. The tracking on this mouse is another huge plus... it's absolutely incredible, regardless of any surface I've place it on. The Logitech Gaming Software allows you to control all aspects of the mouse, including lighting color and intensity, DPI sensitivity, and of course the ability to assign any of the numerous keys to a keystroke, default function, or a macro. I've set up several macros to help with repetitive work activities, and so far they've worked flawlessly. All of the abilities and features mentioned above carry directly into the world of gaming. I'm not a huge gamer, but I do play some FPS and strategy games with friends from time to time. The control and flexibility this mouse gives is very nice; snapshots seem a bit easier. The only problem I had with this mouse was the Arx Control service. I wound up having to disable it because it was causing some system instability with my Win7 machine. I don't play games on mobile devices, so this wasn't a huge problem for me. Overall, I think this mouse is a home-run for Logitech. I would definitely recommend it.

I had one of these for several years and though the buttons were still flawless and the scroll wheel was perfect, I had worn the body and anti-friction base down like bald tires. I finally decided to see what new mice were available last month, but ended up just getting this slightly updated version of the same G502. For general purpose gaming with some office work, nothing else felt as naturally comfortable, solid and responsive. It's significantly heavier than the current wave of ultra light FPS mice even with the weights removed but since I don't have the reflexes of a housefly that ate too much pre-workout, it's not really a concern. At this price, I don't think you can beat it.

So I honestly don't use most of the features of the mouse but I didn't want a cheap light one as they usually don't work so well. This one fits the bill as it feels good (not too light/heavy) and precise. Only problem is I don't like the default DPI on the mouse and it takes a while for the software to boot up and chance the DPI setting. Not a major problem, but a tad annoying. Overall a great mouse for the price.

    Excellent programmable mouse for gaming

This is my first gaming mouse, and let me tell you a gaming mouse really does help you when gaming on a pc over a standard optical mouse. My previous mouse was an optical Logitech MX500, which served me well for at least 7 years and it still works great. It's perfect for every day use on a pc, but lacked somewhat for gaming, though it did pretty good for that. I'm a Logitech person for keyboards and mice since they are terrific products and built to last, so when I decided to get a gaming mouse, Logitech would be the one I would get. I decided on the wired Logitech G-502 Hero. I prefer wired over wireless as maybe being wired gets you a millisecond input into your computer than a wireless mouse. Many reasons figured into my getting the 502 Hero. It has 11 programmable buttons, a 100 - 16,000 dpi optical sensor, 5 quantity 3.6 gram weights to fine tune your the 502 Hero to your desired weight if wanted / needed, fantastic Logitech software to set up your mouse to your liking, 2 year warranty and a 7 foot long braided cord. And it's really 7 feet as I measured it, so you'll have plenty of length from your pc or Mac. I've been using the 502 Hero for about 10 days now, and have really been working it out for gaming. For everyday computer use, it works great. But you don't spend $80.00 on a mouse for standard pc work, you spend your hard earned money on the 502 Hero for gaming and it does an excellent job for that $80.00. I highly recommend that you download the Logitech gaming software for this mouse. You can use it without it, but you won't be able to fully maximize this mouse. As mentioned earlier, you can program up to 11 buttons to whatever you want each button to do. You can even program up to 3 profiles using the software. In addition you can change the color of the "G" on the mouse to whatever color you want. Though I did pick a color, you can't see it when your hand is on the mouse. But it's a cool feature non the less. PROS : #1... Fit my hand perfectly. I'm a guy with average size hands. #2...11 programmable buttons. #3...100 - 16,000 dpi optical sensor. #4...Logitech software. #5...2 year warranty. #6...7 foot long cord. #8...It's a Logitech. Cons : There are only three things I don't care for on this mouse. #1...the wheel is a bit too high, for me at least. Hopefully I'll get used to it. My old MX500 had a very short in height wheel. Also the wheel is just metal with some notches in it. It would be great if Logitech had put a notched rubbed cover over the metal wheel as it would give you more of a "grip" on the wheel. I find my finger sometimes sliding which is not good while gaming. #2...There is a button right behind the wheel that lets you choose whether the wheel is smooth and rolls freely or clicks like a regular wheel would do. Unfortunately, I hit that button frequently when gaming as there is a button right behind that, that I use a lot, and it unlocks the wheel and it free spins which does not help at all when gaming. I hope Logitech eliminates this feature in the next version of this mouse. #3...The two buttons on the left side of the mouse are somewhat sharp instead of rounded. It does not hurt or cut your thumb, it's just uncomfortable. So even with those three cons, I still give this mouse a 5 out of 5 stars.I wish I had upgraded my standard mouse to a gaming mouse many years ago, but I thought it was unnecessary and a hype. The Logitech G502 Hero has changed my mind and I can highly recommend this mouse. Read the reviews and I think you'll agree if you're on the fence about a gaming mouse.

This is my first gaming mouse. I like it because I could adjust the sensitivity of the mouse for some games and the weight of the mouse using the "weight bars".

This Logitech G502 Hero mouse is one of my favorites, and it is the most comfortable to use. The optical sensor goes up to 1600 DPI mark. The sensor works in either white or black surface. The mouse comes with five modular weights (each is 3.6g) that can be dispersed inside to give the user more personalized weight and balance configuration. I found this great because I get more of a customized control. The sniper button works like a charm because it quickly adjusts the DPI to allow a more narrow in precision for shotting. The cable is thin braided to prevent any. On the sides of the mouse, there is rubber texture for enhanced grip. The mouse feels great, and my hand does not cramp up. It also comes with eleven programmable buttons for fully customizable control. The software allows to change the setting of the mouse such as the DPI or the color of the logo. The most important feature for any gaming device is that it is configurable to a player's specific needs. I enjoy using the G502 Hero mouse.
