Every button has its use that you can adjust for your preferred settings, wether that is mouse sensitivity, how fast you wanna scroll up and down, and shortcut buttons to browse pages quicker that can also be used as gaming commands if that is to your desire.

Both work great have never had an issue. Found this one on clearance for $25 and thought I pretty stole it since they retail for $80.
