It's a really good mouse, although I dont really make use of the G shift key's, I have found that the mouse has some serious drawbacks when mapping a modifier key to any one of the physical sub shift keys. and by serious drawbacks, I recall a situation where it caused me to immediately begin locking a Concord battleship which was instantaneous, followed by firing off all my ships guns on the test server on EVE... needless to say my mouse lost just as fast as when it started that fight. modifier keys + key has a hit or miss by application/game in terms of working or doing something extra, but ctrl shift and alt mapped on their own will register in the game's keymapping menu. but outside of that, will not or it might be that its being ignored. the 5 custom OMM profiles are cool, and the last profile used will be the one that runs at next plug in, as well as allowing for key switching of profiles, and the 4 speed poll options have a minimal impact to the computer's resources, atleast I seems as if it uses part of its own onboard memory for smoothness and consistency as it transfers across the 3 meter long cord. its extremely durable and relatively rage proof so far as it continues to work just as good as it did brand new, although constantly in out plugging meant the velcro strap wore out quickly but getting a spare razer rubber strap over the connector without damage to either or was relatively easy and the original velcro strap can be used to suspend the wire. theres really only one defect and design flaw. the defect being the MMB has a tendency to trigger either when spinning, or even left in freespin, really really easily, just moving the mouse around will cause this, but spinlock when engaged remedies that. and the G9 button tucked away behind the spinlock button, as least for me in my experience is a very error prone button, either its pressed with or accidently inplace of the locker, or it is such a pain to press and avoid pressing which causes me plenty of trouble in and out of the action i just leave it unmapped.

I have several of these for my different systems. Accurate, able to adjust the resolution on the fly, the option to click or freewheel the wheel, and the ability to adjust the weight. Plus, it looks cool. I don't use it for gaming but will use it for Photoshop and video editing. I prefer the wired for 100% dependability--all my wireless have eventually turned jumpy, but not this. The cord is cloth and I can also attach it to my mechanical keyboard--I tape the cord under the keyboard and it only sticks out about 1 foot, so I don't have to fuss with multiple wires.

I have no problem with it so far. It's not bad for its price, and even though I would love to get a wireless version.. that's over 100 dollars!! So, for what it is, I love it. I play League of Legends and Diablo 4, and it works amazingly

Good Mice, Ran Into a Problem

As of 10/27/2021 I'm using this mice with a Macbook Pro 2012, yes I know it's a bit unconventional. I was using a Razer Deathadder Essential before this, I love the two scroll wheel modes on this mice and it's adjustable DPI. Although I love this new mice I do have to admit I ran into a problem. When trying to use Logitech's G Hub interface my mice was stuck on "connecting" I tried several methods to try and fix the problem. I finally restarted my Mackbook Pro and my mice connected in less than a second. If you are running into issues with your mice I hope this helps.

Great Mouse With a Nice Feel

Overall this is a solid gaming (even work) mouse. At first I didn't like the feel of it and the buttons seemed in the way, but after a few weeks it feels really natural and I can barely use my old mouse now that I like this one so much. I really enjoy the weights they include. It really let's you get that perfect feel. The buttons all feel nice and once you get adjusted feel natural. The rubber side grips are grippy and textured for those extra heated moments. The edges of the "skids" on the bottom are kind of a hair/dust/general grime magnet so be sure to clean them semi-regularly. I really wish the RGB was a little more prominent, it is only on the "G" logo and the DPI display, which are both usually covered by your hand or too small to notice. Just a simple band around the bottom or scroll wheel would be nice. The RGB does look nice, but the software is hit or miss. Sometimes it works, sometimes it doesn't. Do note that the DPI Indicators RGB effect is defaulted to "off" out of the box. If you want it to be continuously on you have to go into the G-Hub software and turn it to "always on". Another thing to note is that this only ships with (I think) 3 pre-loaded DPI settings, when it can store up to 5. Why they don't ship it with 5 settings is beyond me. The only way to add more is to use their G-Hub software. Overall the build quality is good, the cable is a braided "rope" style. It is fairly long which is nice if you have your PC under the desk or have a large case. It does come with an attached cable tie if you need to "shorten" it. It's a solid option that will last you years to come. !!NOTE: I did buy this item on sale for $39.99 USD!!

Great quality mouse with a good laser. The weights are great for getting perfect precision. The quick dpi switching capability is a must for any mouse I buy now. Scroll wheel feels great and it fits well in the hand. Logitech G Hub used to have an option for determining best settings for a specific mousepad/trackpad but it no longer has it. That's not really a huge issue though.

Overall this is an excellent and well-built mouse. The programmable buttons make everything so easy. I have a 60% keyboard so the media keys (volume up and down) and the delete key are done by using the FN key. With this mouse, I can program the volume keys and delete keys straight into the mouse. It's just incredibly convenient having all these programmable buttons at your fingertips. Gaming performance is great too. It is perfectly weighted out the box (for me) and comes with extra weights if you find it too light. The RGB lighting is also very pleasant. Nothing over the top but very subtle and sleek.

This is my second time buying a G502. I enjoyed it so much, I wore the first one out and it lasted 3 years with heavy, everyday use. The weight, feel and ergonomics was very fitting to gaming use as well as normal activities. Side buttons are easy to get to and DPI can be swapped on the fly without issues. The RGB lighting function is simple and can be synced up with a keyboard with relative ease.

What a testament to the G502 HERO. A second purchase is the highest praise! We're thrilled to hear your first one held up for three years of heavy, daily use, and that its weight, feel, and ergonomics are a perfect fit for both your gaming and everyday activities. It's awesome that the easy-to-access side buttons and on-the-fly DPI swapping enhance your experience, and that the simple RGB lighting syncs up effortlessly with your keyboard. Here's to many more years with your new G502! Logitech

For the price and how well it handles and the durability, it functions well and honestly couldn't have bought any other. My brother has also had it for a while and it hasn't broken in over 5+ years of having it. Good for gaming or just general use of the mouse. Recommended 10/10
