    Great... Except The Mousewheel

It's a good mouse, love all the customization features. It's very comfortable and well made. I use it at work for CAD/CAM software. Only thing I don't like is the obnoxious metal scroll wheel. I'd imagine it's better suited for gaming, but I absolutely hate it. The amount of noise generated and effort required to spin the wheel drives me crazy. If you use it for any sort of CAD software, you'll definitely want to pair it with a 3DConnexion spacemouse for zooming in/out. You can press a button to make the wheel spin freely with no resistance, but that's only helpful if you have every Wikipedia page copied onto a single MS Word document and you want to scroll from A to Z in .05 milliseconds.

I used to be the M65 Pro kind of guy. Using the G502 has been a bit different in my gaming experience as well as my editing experience. I have a big and heavy hand. So going light on a mouse is out of the question for me. The weights provided and the layout of the weights do make a difference to me and the function and comfortability of the mice. This is my third G502, not because it broke but because I've expanded to 3 different editing rigs now.

Mainly use I for fps games, but I tend to do a lot of research for hobbies (photography, 3d printing), and the unlockable scroll wheel is amazing!!

I used to run a Steelseries Rival 500, and since it's been discontinued Ive been looking for a replacement. For the price, this cannot be beat, it's smooth, has a good amount of buttons without being cramped, and has decent software to go with it.

Not much to say here. This is one of logitechs best selling mice for years. For the price, this mouse is fantastic. It feels great, has plenty of programmable buttons, and the ability to change the actual weight is nice. It’s a great gaming mouse, but even if you don’t game, it would make a great budget friendly mouse for other tasks such as video and photo editing with the ability to program all the different buttons.

Great mouse! The "ergonomic" design actually works (at least for me), and I really like how many buttons it has. The wheel scroll, sensitivity, and light settings are diverse enough that most people should be able to find something they like.

This is by far the best gaming mouse I have found for this price point. I love the ability to customize weight as well as the various buttons for keybinds. I find the number of buttons isn't overwhelming like similar gaming mice and they are all easy to access (even for someone like me with small hands). If you're on the fence between this mouse and another at a similar price, this is the one! I am planning on buying a second just in case this one is no longer available when I need a new one.

Got the mouse for $40 on sale... Adding my $30 best buy reward, the mouse is $10... It is a steal. Even without my reward, this mouse is still a strong contestant in 2021 for me. True, the mouse is heavy but it feels sturdy and comfy in my big hand (19mm x 11mm). Another plus is the mouse has so many customizable buttons. I need more buttons than I need the mouse to be light. Every button is customizable and can be saved into the onboard profile.

Most Versatile Mouse For All Around Gaming

This mouse is awesome. The ability to lock and unlock the scroll wheel is an excellent feature, and the weights make the mouse very customizable for whatever mouse grip you prefer. This thing was an adjustment from my M50 that is very "heavy" in comparison. Even when set to similar DPI settings I felt like I was throwing my cursor all over the place, but it was a quick adjustment and I do feel that "light" mice offer much more precision where needed.

Hi Jason, Very glad to hear how awesome you think the G502 Hero Gaming Mouse is---your feedback and recommendation is very much appreciated. One of the great benefits of the G502 is the fact that you can add weights to it if you're wanting something "heavy". Five 3.6g weights came with the G502 and are configurable in a variety of front, rear, left, right and center weighted configurations. Also, the customization goes to another level when you use Logitech's G Hub software. Here's a link to the download and some information about it: https://support.logi.com/hc/en-us/articles/360025298133. Hope that you found this useful and that all is well. Thank you for choosing Logitech. - Richard from Logitech

I enjoy the ergonomics of this mouse as well as the customizable dpi. For a lower-priced mouse this has several benefits. I also like the optional weights. For me, adding a little heft to the mouse gave me a better experience with the mouse.

Its a great little mouse for some games, and even some applications, if you get your buttons set right. It didn't perform as well as I had hoped for the game i bought it for, but I honestly need a joystick for it. Overall, though, this mouse fits nice in the hands and has many functions that put it in the rank of the best mouses that ive ever bought. Oh, i love the lightning functions as well!

It's great to hear your detailed feedback on the Logitech G502 HERO! It sounds like you've discovered its versatility for various games and applications when the buttons are customized effectively.

While it didn't quite hit the mark for the specific game you bought it for (which you rightly noted might need a joystick instead), it's fantastic that you still find it fits nicely in your hands and its numerous functions rank it among the best mice you've ever purchased. And we're thrilled you love the lighting functions too! Logitech

Not wireless so not your thing avoid it. Solid mouse and easy to use. DPI can change with button setting on mouse, makes fps games easier.. slow for sniping and one click have it flickable for fast paced. Overall worth purchase.

By far the best budget gaming mouse I have had the pleasure of testing. You get 11 programable buttons and 5 weights to find your perfect balance. The mouse is fairly light compaired to my last unit so I used all 5 weights. The primary and secondary buttons are very crisp and have remained so after nearly 4 months of hard use! I game daily after work for a minimum of 4 hours to give some prospective on use.

I was having a little wrist strain using my Expert Mouse and wanted a big ergonomic mouse I didn't have to worry about -- the G502 is comfortable, the lights aren't super distracting, and it is always fully charged (meaning my OCD won't have me wasting time worrying about topping off a battery). An excellent value as a work mouse!

Great mouse. I was looking for a mouse with a scroll wheel that would allow you to have a continuous scroll without “click” scrolling. This mouse allows you to switch between the two and both feel great. I only found this feature on Logitech mice for some reason so I went with this model. You can add or remove weights from the bottom of the mouse to your preference. I added all of them as it gives it a premium feel in my opinion without being too heavy.

Great Upgrade but a Few Flaws...

    Posted .
This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.

I've had this mouse for a few months now and I absolutely love it. I am upgrading from the Corsair Glaive, so naturally, I would prefer a heavy mouse. This mouse grants you the option to add weights to the bottom of it via a small compartment, and have added as many as I could. However, I noticed that if you add a weight near the magnetic closure piece, it will make the back plate to access the weight compartment more likely to fall off, and this can result in your mouse not being able to sense the tabletop as well and overall interrupt gameplay. I remedied this by just not having a weight in that slot. Otherwise, this mouse is everything I could have wanted. I love all the buttons I can keybind and the fact I can unlock the scroll wheel. Now, here's something else that is not so great... This mouse utilizes the Logitech software to allow you to customize it, but I also have a Blue Yeti, so it also automatically links to this software. The software for the Blue Yeti is terrible, and has made is so my microphone doesn't function as well. I had to go through the trouble of completely disabling the software from modifying my Blue Yeti.
