A good mouse ruined by cheap switches. Logitech's switches have been going down in quality over the past few years, even though they're supposed to be rated for an insanely high number of clicks. My husband has now gone through 7 or 8 mice in the past year, including 3 of these, because the switches just fail prematurely and cause random double-clicks. He's not rough on his mice; I'm far more abusive with my gaming clicks than he is, and I've had my mouse (same model) for over 3 years now.

It had been 10 years since I bought a mouse and I had no idea what I was missing out on, This replaced me old Logitech G5 and I am blow away by how much smoother this mouse is, I didn't want to upgrade but my G5 finally kicked the bucket and now I am pretty happy it did.

This is one of the best mouse I have ever used. Have bought multiple units for gifts as well. One did develop a faulty switch after about a year. It's not perfect but what is? They do take a little abuse so keep that in mind. There are many great mice out there now. This is one of them. On sale, they can't be beat.

And this Logitech G502 HERO Gaming Mouse is most assuredly worth considering if you are a gamer. By downloading Logitech’s Gaming Software, you can customize 11 programmable buttons for more personalized control, to fit whatever types of games you play. You are also able to assign fun lighting to your mouse. Included with this Logitech G502 HERO Gaming Mouse are five weights which you can use to adjust the weight, balance and overall feel of the mouse to fit your own personal preference and play style. The outer surface of the mouse itself was a nice matte finish, making for a pleasant tactile feel when cradled in my hand, and giving me a more secure grip during gameplay. Along with the (right-handed) thumb rest being more of a rubberized pebbled texture. Another notable feature was the attached usb cord. As with many of the “better” computer mice out there, the G502 HERO’s cord is a kind of woven thread, providing for a seemingly stronger cord, less likely to bend or kink over time. Moving the mouse around, both on a mousepad and without one, during normal use with my laptop, as well as, during extensive gaming sessions, proved to be a precision, lag-free experience. And the scroll wheel turned as smooth as silk. So impressive! The size of this gaming mouse, however, was a bit too large to comfortably fit my smaller hand. Please keep this in mind, and if you are thinking to get this particular mouse, it would be beneficial to test it out in-store beforehand, if possible. Just as an aside - Something I’m finding with more and more products, most specifically, electronics, is the tendency to not include much in the way of printed instructions (as with this item). While encouraging consumers to go directly to whatever company’s website and their support page, having to research basic info right from the get-go, sorta rubs me the wrong way. However, that being said, having access to this online material is definitely a helpful resource. And Logitech’s product information and support guides, are easy to navigate and useful for finding the support you need. All in all, I can certainly recommend this Logitech G502 HERO Gaming Mouse for any and all gamers, no matter the game you’re playing. The cost of this mouse is certainly worth what you’re getting, comparable to similar gaming mice in the same price range from other well-known brands.

Everything works as it should but it's a pretty big mouse and I'm not really liking it for gaming at all. I wouldn't buy again.
