love the mouse but if you google search a common issue with this mouse, its left main button stops working. You can try to reset everything, clean it out and all the troubleshooting there is, this problem still occurs.

I liked this mouse. Smooth tracking and clicking. I didn’t care for the scroll wheel. It either needs to be just smooth or clicky. The hybrid thing makes it jittery to me when in click mode. Felt kinda cheap like it might break over time.

I am an IT professional and have gamed on PC since 2003. I will explain to you why this seemingly glorious mouse deserves a 1-star rating. I have been using Logitech mice since 2009. Nowadays, the G502 retail price will sometimes increase to nearly $100.00. This is not a cheap mouse. Logitech G Hub, the configuration software, is bloated, annoying and invasive. It bugs you to create an account and always wants to run in the background. It also purposely makes using the mouse's internal memory a hassle. The internal memory allows the mouse's button mappings, DPI settings and macros to retain without software running in the background. See the pattern here? I do believe that Logitech tries to data mine with Logitech G Hub, which explains the arbitrary neutering of some features and the seemingly forced sign-up process. After just a few months, the mouse developed an issue where left-click would release even when it was held down. I have never encountered this issue with any mouse before. I was able to reproduce this issue on another computer which had a fresh Windows installation (zero installed programs). I ensured the mouse firmware was up to date. Soon after that issue started, the sensor would randomly spaz out, causing my aim to sporadically flick up to the sky. That is when I decided to use my back-up mouse and contact Logitech support. While it was under warranty, I contacted Logitech and they sent me a list of troubleshooting tasks to fulfill. The last thing on the list is to "try on another computer" which partially defeats the purpose of some prior software-based troubleshooting steps. After confirming that I performed all the tasks on the list, I was then given the opportunity to provide EVIDENCE that there was an issue with the mouse. I was asked to provide a VIDEO of the issue. This would require that I set up a camera which has both my game and the mouse in frame, constantly recording while I play until I capture the moment that the issue occurs, then editing the moment out so that I can send it. The obvious hurdles laid out by these customer service practices and the software design have two purposes: 1) Retain initial profits by placing unnecessary burdens on the customer, in order to reduce the number of returns, and 2) to collect data on the user by forcing them to keep the software installed and running on their system while connected to a Logitech account. Because cannot stand behind their products, I have since purchased a Steelseries Rival 600 which I believe to be a superior product. Hopefully Steelseries will follow through in case the new mouse decides to go the way of the Logitech G502.
