Left and right click buttons failed in less than a year. It phantom presses and irregular intervals. Side to side motions feel weird and the middle click is hard to use. Good mouse overall while it lasted. Spend money on a better mouse.

Works okay. The roller ball doesn't always sense every time you go up or down, so sometimes you need to go a few clicks before it responds, then it'll go multiple scrolls & you'll have to go back the other way to get where you wanted to be.

    Clicking and DPI Issues

I bought 3 of these when they were sale. All 3 have the same problem with random left double clicks and loss of click when dragging windows, icons or files. On 3 occasions, I experienced ghost clicking (the mouse clicks by itself) and opened hundreds of browser windows. Also, the mouse would reset itself to the default DPI setting. Keep in mind this occurred on 3 different devices on 3 different computers. Very frustrating and not what I've come to expect from a Logitech mouse. I've come to the point where I'm not sure I will buy another Logitech mouse and have decided I will never buy this model again. The G502 I own does not have the issues I'm experiencing with the SE model.

Hello customer, I'm sorry to hear that you've been having some issues with your G502. For the double clicking issue, if you navigate to our support site, you can find instruction on how to clean the left click of the mouse, which can sometimes solve the issue. For DPI, I would recommend you download our GHub software, which will allow you to customize different settings on the mouse, including the DPI, and save the settings to the mouse's on board memory, meaning even if something happens to your profile, the mouse still has it saved.

The mouse is super light, comfy to use, and insanely accurate when playing a FPS. The clicks feel great and handling it doesn't feel awkward or uncomfy. It’s reliable and logitech is one of the best brands out there, in my opinion. Top-tier gaming mouse, totally worth.

I got this mouse to use while playing Ghost Recon Breakpoint, and I've noticed that it would be a little more ergonomically friendly if my hand has a little larger or the mouse was shorter in overall length to easier reach the further forward buttons on the side.

This mouse was great for playing games! It has a decent amount of weight, could be a con for some of you, but I personally like it. Unfortunately the mouse 1 (left click) started have some issues, one click would be equal to clicking 6-7 times.

Got this mouse and it works on a basic level but the program you’re supposed to download will not recognize the mouse. I would recommend something else. I’m thinking of buying a SCUF mouse I bought a Xbox controller from them and it works wonderfully.

defect out of the box, bad luck

defect out of the box issue 1, G8 key not working, no matter how hard I pressed it's not clicking. bind a character key to it to test if it's just silent, got no output from it at all. issue 2, left and right buttons are loose. their front edges seem to be a bit lower than the dead G8 key's front edge, and when my fingers leave the left and right keys, the keys go up and bounce back down, make me wonder if I have very sticky fingers. got a G502 hero (non-SE version ) as a replacement, quality is much better. the scroll wheel still has a horizontal rattle while it's in the smooth scroll mode but I'll live with it. considering SE's current price, if you are not unlucky like me, this might be a very good deal,

This mouse lasted just over 6 months before developing double-click issues with both Right and Left mouse buttons. Only after buying it did I look at the Logitech support forums, and see that it's a known issue that Logitech hasn't fixed.

This mouse is trash! The bottom cover routinely fall's off during use and I had to disable the DPI button's because I would accidently tap them during game play. Don't waste your money on this one.

Hello, thank you for sharing your experience with the G502 Hero Wired mouse. I'm sorry that bottom cover continues to fall off. I understand that the location of the DPI button can lead to it being accidentally bumped while playing games and that is not idea. Logitech G Pro Wireless has the DPI button on the bottom of the mouse, and has a different cover on the bottom so that it won't fall off. I hope you are able to find a gaming mouse that works for you. Kristi from Logitech

Hi Almightyjon, Very sorry to hear about the right click issue you had with the G502 HERO Wired Gaming Mouse---certainly sounds like a hardware defect. Very glad that you were able to get it exchanged and hoping that all is well with the new one. I realize that you went through an arduous return process with another product before, but that certainly isn't the norm for Logitech's customer service. Just remember, that this mouse has a 2-year limited hardware warranty should that same kind of problem come up again. Thanks for choosing Logitech. - Richard from Logitech

The software that comes with it it horrendous, most then time it will not even detect the mouse. These mice are also prone to double click issue, though to be fair most Logitech mouse are known to have double click issues.

A minor update to a great mouse

Logitech - G502 HERO Wired Optical Gaming Mouse with RGB Lighting - Black I have been using last years version of the Logitech G502 Gaming Mouse as my primary gaming mouse and I have been very happy with it. This years version is a minor update from last year with the Hero 16K sensor as probably the biggest change. If you put the two side by side it would be difficult to see what's changed. But if you flip it over and compare the optical sensors you can clearly see they are different. I also see the branded USB cable has a minor change and the lighted G logo is slightly smaller. The 16K sensor is rated for 100 to 16,000 DPI. In some games this could be helpful and if you need that level of performance you are a much better gamer than I. All of the buttons are in the same locations and feel the same. Logitech gaming products cover all price ranges and industry leading features. There gaming software is fully featured and the RGB lighting can sync with there other products. If you use there keyboards and headsets you can control them all in the one software which I really like. It is a very mature software package and allows very fine control over there connected devices. I have tested other gaming mice over this past year but I always come back to the G502. What I like best is the comfortable fit for my hand. But I had hoped this year version would have moved the forward and back buttons a little higher from the bottom thumb rest. I find that my thumb can accidently press the forward and back button. If they were just a little higher it would be perfect. For normal desktop use its a non issue. But in the heat of a FPS depending on how you map these buttons you might press them. Since you can set profiles in the software for all of the button mappings I just don’t use those two. There are enough other button to map for any special functions I might need. This is also how the mouse fits in my hand and might not be a problem for someone else. Still this is minor issue that has not kept me from coming back to the G502 as my favorite wired mouse. This is a quality product that comes with great stable software, plenty of customization options and will look nice on anyone's desk, gamer or not. This years changes may be mostly in the higher quality sensor but you can’t go wrong with the Hero G502. As a long time PC gamer I can highly recommend this for its overall performance, comfort and great software. And if you can really use the 16,000 DPI sensor I probably need to stay on your good side.
