    Looks cool, plays well

This mouse reminds me of the high-end Alienware mouses I had back in the day for my gaming PC. I took a break from PC gaming for a bit and while I really enjoyed my time on the console, I missed some of the more "threading-the-needle" type things you can do on the PC. I tested in a variety of games; where this mouse really shines is PvP, especially with the high-res camera in the guts of the mouse. The bundled software lets you set up macros and such, but what was super useful for me was that you could tweak the sensitivity of the mouse on the fly and see what setting you were on via the LEDs. Color customization, cool. Weight customization? Awesome... I might be nuts but I prefer a mouse that has some heft. I only wish there was a button tension control, as I sometimes found myself inadvertently clicking while getting used to where my fingers had to sit to NOT push buttons. It's not crazy, but folks with bigger hands playing tense games might squeeze their way into a macro execution. This is not a problem, per se, but you want time to train with this mouse. There are so many buttons and each one can be customized, and while it'd be super intuitive after a week or two, your first few games are gonna be rough. Logitech gives you some cool software that allows you to customize per profile and per game, which means you can go nuts on presets. The mouse seems sturdy (even without the extra weights) and well-built; the cord has a weaved coating and also seems very sturdy. Overall: I really like this mouse. It's a worthwhile investment for casual-and-beyond gamers who need more than just the stock buttons. Bonus points that it LOOKS really cool in addition to playing well.

    Poor quality

Logitech isn't a good company anymore. Seems all their newest products of the last couple years are terribly made. My first one has issues dragging and dropping consistently. Did warranty replacement and got a new mouse that had a broke left click right out of the box. They are now sending me an entirely different model mouse... that should tell you what they know about the quality of this one, it's trash. Don't buy it. Find a different brand, that's what I'm about to do. And warranty service is good, but it takes about a month to get the replacement. If you still think you might want to buy the G502. It's not good for smaller hands. The sniper button is so far forward that it is useless unless you have large hands maybe, so subtract 1 button from description. And mine wouldn't close at the bottom if I had weights in the front slots, so couldn't use all the weights if I even wanted to. This was just my honest assessment. I kept it originally because I got it on sale. Oh and GHub is the worst software in gaming. Luckily you can use their old software for this mouse if you do happen to buy it.

But the right button is failing. I do no have a extended warranty on it, so the chances of getting it swapped out is not going to happen. First of 3 of these mouse to die that fast most last 2+ years. Best button lay out of any mouse. If Logitech reads these I am a bid fan. g810, g910, 4 - G502 mice, 2 - sets of G430's, 1 Pro X head set. Throw a long time purchaser a bone. MAN... :)

    Truly a Hero

I could honestly start and end this review with saying that this mouse is correctly named as the Hero. Enough Said. Get in your car and go buy this mouse. But I shall go on... First, this mouse is COMFORTABLE. I especially enjoy the thumb cut out. I have used this mouse for hours on end and have never felt that my hand was out of place or ailing from any discomfort. It also keeps your fingers near any button you want to hit, which is fantastic considering this mouse has all the buttons you could ever want. Than being said, they layout is great. With all of the programmable buttons, you can set up so many shortcuts, macros, etc to make this mouse personalized to you. All of the buttons have a positive feel and there is no question or doubt with what you are doing. Finally and most important, the sensor of this mouse is AMAZING! 16000dpi??? This mouse is faster than you, your competition, and anything you find yourself up against. A very small movement will get me all the way across two monitors, spin a video game character all the way around, or whatever you need. The speed and sensitivity is truly beautiful and will leave you saying "wow". The only negative experience that I have experienced with this mouse is the multi directional scroll wheel. Over may different games that use the scroll wheel for weapon selection I found my character randomly switching weapons. I had not pushed any keys or touched anything on the mouse that would have lead to my character changing weapons, but it was happening frequently at random. I began troubleshooting to figure out what was leading to the odd actions, and it ended up being this mouse. I was able to determine that the lateral movement of the selection wheel was occurring during moving the mouse without my input to that specific wheel. I made some adjustments and minimized this issue, but have not yet been able to rectify the issue completely. This is the reason that I do not give this mouse all of the stars. If I didn't have this issue, I would give this mouse 7 stars. It is that good. Conclusion, BUY THIS MOUSE!

This is a very comfortable and easy to use mouse. However, it didn't last even a year before it began double clicking, and not holding a mouse press. Logitech customer support was not helpful, taking over a week to get back to me and suggesting fixes that didn't work.

I’ve used Logitech nice as far back as I can remember for all my gaming needs; but the inclusion of GHub has been a nightmare of settings being constantly reset, issues with split screen gaming, and a strong urge to flush this thing like the POS it is. Even switching to onboard profiles resets between games and desktop, which are supposed to have identical settings but somehow still manage to change. Save yourself the trouble.

Mouse purchases aren't usually something people review, but if you're a gamer and tired of batteries running low, this is the mouse for you! It feels similar to the other Logitech Gaming wireless Mouse design, and mouse wheel is very easy to move. It almost glides as you're using it! It's easy to setup (plug and play), comes with all the buttons you'd likely need, and the weights are a nice touch! The cable is braided in a thick mesh, which should protect it from wearing out, and the mouse glides easily on pretty much any surface. For a better experience, install the Logitech Gaming Software. It makes it easy to set the buttons, and even adjust the DPI sensitivity settings. It will also allow you to customize the RGB LED's to your preference! It doesn't weigh a lot, so I added two of the weights to give the mouse a more sturdy feel. This isn't required, but some folks (like myself) like some weight on the mouse as we move it around. It's built for FPS shooters, casual games, and MMORPG's like WoW. The Sniper button is a nice touch, and made is easier to hit targets in Battlefield 1. Overall, I'm really impressed with the mouse. It had no trouble swapping between a Windows OS gaming laptop, and my Macbook. If you don't want all the fancy settings, you can simply plug and play the mouse, and start using it. I actually prefer this mouse over my Wireless logitech gaming mouse now. I'd highly recommend this!
