Thanks for sharing this! That definitely doesn’t sound normal. The G502 HERO should respond instantly, so the random scroll behavior and delay suggest a hardware issue. Please try testing it on a different USB port or another PC. If the issue continues, please provide your information to our support team by emailing socialcare@logitech.com. I bought this back in April of 2020 because I've ALWAYS had great products from Logitech and needed a replacement for my G403 HERO. In August of 2020 (4months later) I noticed the right mouse button starting to act funny in games, at first i thought it was lag or what have you, but it just kept happening. September rolled around and now i get a click on it 50(ish)% of the time and it's near impossible to hold it to ADS on the FPS i play. Its so bad that i have my 10 year old Microsoft mouse out because the 502 just chooses at this point when it wants to work. The adjustable weight was AMAZING and size is perfect for me but 4 to 5 months is not long enough for a 50USD mouse to last. I'd recommend the other mouse if you are comparing the two.

Great Gaming Mouse for the PRICE!

I initially purchased the Razer Death Adder but was disappointed as it felt too light and cheaply made. I exchanged it for the Logitech Hero SE which was $25 at the time. I read a lot of reviews before making my decision and I'm glad I did. I've always used Logitech gaming keyboards and always loved the reliability and RGB software. This mouse is fantastic especially with the adjustable weights. It feels solid and the minimal lighting is nice. My only gripe about it is the mouse wheel which has no rubber grip. Other than that its one of the best mice I've used.

It's really good for gaming! I've tried it for FPS. It's not good for WOW or MMO's...Other than that solid and heavy too. You can control the weight too!

    Left Click Button issues

    Posted .

I really liked this mouse a lot when it was an actual, working piece of tech. It was a great mouse, great for gaming, the additional buttons on the side being mapped to common keybinds was a much needed, much less complicated ordeal than with my previous mouse, fit well in my above average sized hand, and this mouse served me good for a decent chunk of time - from around October 2020 until about 2 weeks ago - but when it rains, it pours. At first the left click sometimes just didn't register and I didn't think much of it. Sometimes tech is just wonky like that. But boy, it went on a straight downward spiral. Now almost every singular click becomes a double click. I can not drag and drop anything in my files without a hiccup and having it drop my file somewhere I passed over, or have it drop that file and pick up whatever file was under it instead. It occurs probably 50% of the time now, which is completely unacceptable. I got this mouse on sale for about $25, when the price tag said it was normally $80, so I guess I really did end up getting what I paid for, huh? This is the first time a mouse has ever broken like this and it's not an issue I ever even thought about, so I didn't bother getting the warranty. I've never dropped it and take good care of it, it just became a dud, which is sad. When it worked I loved it. If I find a similar model on sale again I might consider another Logitech mouse, but for now I'll be trying a different brand.

i have owned the original g502 for almost 4 years now and the scroll wheel unfortunately stopped working properly. after doing tons of research on a new mouse here i am buying another newer version of the g502. logitech has really made something special with this particular model and im glad to see its still an option after all the years of heavy use my old model got.

Cheap switches brings the score way down

    Posted .
This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.

The right and left switches are notorious for failing. Frequent double clicks when clicking once. Fails to hold in a click and drag. Look it up. Many guides and videos on how to replace these cheap switches. Otherwise a great mouse until the switches fail.

I have a profound love of Logitech products. I own 3 G513 Blue keyboards, MX Master 2x cordless mouse, 4K, and 1080 Web Cams—all excellent products. This mouse developed the dreaded "double-click," rendering the mouse nearly useless. Worse than the double-click is the dropping of the mouse click while trying to drag something. Maddening. I bought this mouse in 2019, and I use the mouse for day-to-day work, graphics design, and video editing. I'm not a gamer. It took until now to develop the click issue. It is out of warranty by a lot, but I will NOT be replacing it with a Logitech mouse.

This is a shame....I loved my old g502

I genuinely like this mouse. My issue is with the components inside. I RMA'd this mouse because the right click did not function properly due to the cheap Omeron switched inside. This is a known issue. I got a replacement from Logitech except this new one has the same issue. I have the same exact issue with the new replacement 6 months latter. I Love the design and the weight of the mouse it feels amazing and loved it's performance. But having to replace this mouse every six months ? This is a pure shame. There is no fix this and This is a known well documented issue online. Many have gone a far a voiding the warrenty and replaced the switches with better ones.

Hello Jacob. Thank you for taking the time to write your review of the G502 HERO mouse. I'm sorry to hear that you're not happy with your new G502 due to the switches failing. As you know, the warranty covers the failed switches and I hope the RMA process wasn't too cumbersome for you. Again, I'm sorry you're experiencing these issues.

I really like the basic mouse. It works nicely. I downloaded the G Hub so I could use the programable featuers. Well that rendered the mouse useless, as it wouldn't connect to it's own sofware.

Once you get it running, it’s very comfortable to use. Getting games to recognize all the input buttons by turning on on-board mode in the first place is not intuitive.
