Mice are kind of like fancy gloves, you really need to try them on to see if they fit you right. The Logitech G502 Hero is one of those that you really need to put your hands on and give it a bit of your play style. I really like the space age look of this mouse and love the grip as the thumb rests on the mouse instead of the mousepad. But, I found myself bumping buttons when I didn’t intend to and it might just be because of my lanky fingers. There are 11 programmable buttons, but with the click of one of the buttons you can change between profiles allowing you to program each of those buttons with other functions, or use g-shift to only change when that combo is pushed. However, keep in mind the left and right mouse click and the scroll wheel clicks count in that. The highly adjustable DPI and the ability to shift that on the fly really gives a nice edge in gaming and image editing. I also enjoy the ability to add weights to help give you exactly the feel that you are looking for. Maybe you like it light, maybe heavy, but you can adjust it 3.6g at a time to find that balance. Another feature I never realized I wanted is the ability to unlock the scroll wheel for smooth spin. Like spinning the wheel on Wheel of Fortune at your fingertips, giving yourself an infinite scroll. The cord is also extra long and threaded giving a sturdy no kink feel to it. The Logitech Gaming Software, once downloaded from their site, allows you to program each of the buttons, adjust the DPI, change the lighting and other options. However, the software is part of the reason why I’m dropping one star (which I wish could be half). It’s overly complicated when you just need it for a simple settings. The software is meant for pretty much all Logitech gaming hardware, which is good if you have other devices. It even links you to other gaming apps for specific games. Then when you click on the help link, it takes you to a 130 page document that puts a lot of that hardware in the same place if that is any indication of too much in one place. It’s not that I hate the software, just that I felt like I spent way too long trying to get what I wanted and all this other stuff was just in the way. If you are looking for a highly programmable, comfortable, and customizable mouse, the Logitech G502 Hero is certainly worth giving it a go.

This mouse is great. I've been using it for a few weeks for both work and gaming, and I love it! The ability to adjust the weight in the base is a huge plus for me. I was able to add just enough weight so the mouse is more stable when I'm doing detailed work; I don't feel like the pointer is about to take off on its own when I least expect it. I also like the ability to not only set up up to 3 different DPI sensitivity profiles, and to add additional DPI levels within each profile, but also switch between all of them effortlessly. The weighted scroll wheel is also a nice touch; if I need to scroll to the bottom of a long document, I can simply unlock the wheel so that it spins freely, and then give it a spin. The tracking on this mouse is another huge plus... it's absolutely incredible, regardless of any surface I've place it on. The Logitech Gaming Software allows you to control all aspects of the mouse, including lighting color and intensity, DPI sensitivity, and of course the ability to assign any of the numerous keys to a keystroke, default function, or a macro. I've set up several macros to help with repetitive work activities, and so far they've worked flawlessly. All of the abilities and features mentioned above carry directly into the world of gaming. I'm not a huge gamer, but I do play some FPS and strategy games with friends from time to time. The control and flexibility this mouse gives is very nice; snapshots seem a bit easier. The only problem I had with this mouse was the Arx Control service. I wound up having to disable it because it was causing some system instability with my Win7 machine. I don't play games on mobile devices, so this wasn't a huge problem for me. Overall, I think this mouse is a home-run for Logitech. I would definitely recommend it.

Pros: *Nice RGB for the logo and DPI meter. *Never had any trouble with the sensor *Very adjustable weights with nice location and are hidden well *Nice look and design still comfortable although not the most comfortable mouse I have used. *Very high dpi and can also be very low *scroll wheel has 2 modes which is helpful *Inexpensive for the features and brand Cons: *Mouse is a little bulky for my liking but not much of a problem. *A lot of buttons but I have trouble with pressing some of them *Mouse is a heavier than average *Software pretty user friendly but takes some time to figure out *Not all buttons work with all games Final Thoughts: This is a excellent gaming mouse which I would strongly consider you to buy. With the large amount of features, nice design, and inexpensive price I would say you can’t go wrong when purchasing this!

This Logitech G502 Hero mouse is one of my favorites, and it is the most comfortable to use. The optical sensor goes up to 1600 DPI mark. The sensor works in either white or black surface. The mouse comes with five modular weights (each is 3.6g) that can be dispersed inside to give the user more personalized weight and balance configuration. I found this great because I get more of a customized control. The sniper button works like a charm because it quickly adjusts the DPI to allow a more narrow in precision for shotting. The cable is thin braided to prevent any. On the sides of the mouse, there is rubber texture for enhanced grip. The mouse feels great, and my hand does not cramp up. It also comes with eleven programmable buttons for fully customizable control. The software allows to change the setting of the mouse such as the DPI or the color of the logo. The most important feature for any gaming device is that it is configurable to a player's specific needs. I enjoy using the G502 Hero mouse.

This is a good mouse and may be 5 stars for other people, but as someone who came from the Razer Deathadder Essential, this mouse just isn't as comfortable and for people with small hands it's hard to reach the button on the side of the mouse without using a claw grip. I enjoy the multiple buttons, the fast scroll wheel, and the weights that you can or remove from the mouse. If you have small hands and prefer that natural hand palm grip feel this mouse is not for you, if you have bigger hands and enjoy playing with claw grip this is an amazing mouse for the price.

This is the best mouse for the price out right now. It includes metal weights to add to the mouse to increase drag when moving it. The spin wheel can be locked or unlocked to freely rotate. There are so many programmable buttons which are MACBOOK friendly. This mouse also feels extremely comfortable to use after hours of use. The DPI can be fine tuned to perfection and even has a button to lower it when playing precision shooter games. 10/10 mouse

The mouse was great when it worked. Then, about 5 months after I purchased it, I started having problems with double clicking and the left and right mouse buttons wouldn't work at all some times. It happened after the return period so I'm not even going to bother trying to return it. It is a shame because when it works it is a great mouse and has all the features I want.

Hi David, Very sorry to hear about the issues you're having with the G502 HERO SE Wired Gaming Mouse. Fortunately, the G502 does have a 2-year limited hardware manufacturer's warranty. You can file a warranty claim here https://support.logi.com/hc/en-us/articles/360024914754-Warranty-G502-HERO. In the interim, you may need a firmware update which you can find out by downloading Logitech's G Hub software (https://support.logi.com/hc/en-us/articles/360025298133). G Hub not only will allow you to update the firmware for your G502, but it will also let you customize your mouse's settings---RGB, mapping, DPI. Hope that you found this helpful and that all is going well. Thank you for choosing Logitech. - Richard from Logitech

These mice have been around for a few years now, and have gained a reputation with many gamers in that time. It's a sculpted mouse intended for right-hand use, and this particular model is the wired variety. Overall fit and finish is quite good. By using the Logitech G-Hub software, it's easily configurable and customizable with a good number of buttons available. It can even be tuned to a specific weight with removable weights that fit in the bottom of the mouse. The on-the-fly DPI adjustment buttons, that can be customized to specific setpoints, are also quite useful when adjusting sensitivity between different genres of games (or for going back to using productivity apps on the desktop after a gaming session). There's even a "DPI Shift" button that can be pressed with the thumb to temporarily shift the DPI to the lowest sensitivity for more accurate shooting in FPS titles. There's also a toggle for the tactile bumps in the scroll wheel that allow it to free wheel, which can be handy in certain situations. Oh, and for those who care about LEDs, it has RGB that's customizable as well. Overall an excellent option for a gaming mouse, especially for the reduced price from launch. (These originally went for over $80.)

Ladies and gentlemen, geeks and gamers, gather round as we dive into the mystical world of the G502 Hero gaming mouse, a device so legendary that even the mice in your attic are considering a career in gaming. This isn't just a mouse; it's the Excalibur of the digital realm, the lightsaber of the PC master race, and the only companion you'll need in your quest to conquer the virtual universe. First off, let's talk about the design. This mouse has more curves than a racetrack and enough buttons to make a spaceship console jealous. With 11 programmable buttons, it's like having a Swiss Army Knife at your fingertips, if the Swiss Army was composed of hardcore gamers and the knife was used to annihilate virtual foes instead of opening cans. Now, onto the Hero sensor – a piece of tech so advanced, it could probably guide a spacecraft to Mars. With up to 16,000 DPI, it's more sensitive than a teenager's ego, ensuring that every move you make is as precise as a surgeon's scalpel during a heart transplant. Whether you're sniping enemies from a mile away or painting a masterpiece in MS Paint, this mouse has got you covered. But wait, there's more! The G502 Hero comes with customizable weights, because apparently, gamers now need to lift, bro. Whether you prefer your mouse light as a feather or heavy as your post-Thanksgiving dinner guilt, you can adjust it to your heart's content. And let's not forget the RGB lighting. Because why settle for a regular mouse when you can have a mini disco on your desk? Whether you're a fan of cool blues, raging reds, or a psychedelic mix, your mouse can now match your mood, your outfit, or even your cat's eyes. In conclusion, if you're looking for a mouse that's more extra than a triple shot venti latte with whipped cream, the G502 Hero is your weapon of choice. It's not just a gaming mouse; it's a statement. A statement that says, "I'm here to kick butt, take names, and maybe do a little bit of spreadsheet work on the side." So, what are you waiting for? Grab your G502 Hero, and let's turn this virtual battle into a victory dance. Game on, warriors!

Really good mouse. I like the tons of customization, macros, rgb it offers with its companion Logitech software. The sensor is precise and one of the highest rated ones, 16000 Dpi!! I like that it comes with weights so you could adjust the mouse weight to your liking. You can create macros and customize each of the 11 programmable buttons! One thing though, I think because of the shape it would be more suited for right handed users, however it could still be used by leftys. Remember to disable windows mouse acceleration in windows mouse settings for the most accurate tracking!!

Summary: A fantastic looking, customizable, ergonomic gaming mouse that means serious business. Pros: 11 buttons for use in macros, etc. I can't even think of ways to use them all, yet. Color LED logo with customizable behaviors and colors. Hyperfast scroll wheel mode allows switching from scroll-clicking to insane content or zoom scrolling! Easily adjust between three pre-set precision modes you define (each indicated by a LED on the mouse during switching). You can always refine settings using the apps. DPI mode ranges between 100 DPI and 16000 DPI. The grip and feel are prefect. My hand and palm rest perfectly on the unit and it is a pleasure to hold. Removable weights! You can customize the feel and drag of your mouse by inserting provided weights. Simply remove the bottom panel and add up to five weights distributed around the base. The mouse cord is long, protected by a braided fiber, and feels sturdy. Cons: Installing the software needed to configure/ manage the device is not "easy" by normal person standards. I really wish there was a better way for the software to be found and installed. Having said that, once you find the right download (they have quite a few mice!) it's not as much of an issue. Until you configure it. The software looks great, as you might expect for a gaming series mouse. I still feel like the interface is too slow to switch between devices. That may be intentional, or it may be all of the chrome slowing it down. I also wish that the software would only show you options/devices which are actually installed. By default, it showed me the keyboard options. I don't have a Logitech gaming series keyboard (yet). Configuring the buttons is a little wonky. At least for me, the interface seems to hide some of the buttons by obscuring them in their 3D presentation. It is still unclear to me what the arrows on the left/right mouse buttons straddling the wheel do or indicate. Use: Frankly, I love this mouse. I am still working on maximizing use since for so long I lived without such a device. Though it took some getting use to, the higher DPI really allows for some quick movement and I love it! I use this mouse on my primary rig which is also the machine I use for work. Given the price point, I think it is definitely worth the bump from any of the lower models. I might consider their wireless ones now that I know just how nice these devices feel and operate!

---SETUP--- The setup of the G502 Hero Gaming Mouse is fast and simple. Out of the box it is plug and play, meaning it works simply by connecting it. It’s true power lies, however, in downloading the software from the website it suggests. ---FEATURES--- The key feature of this mouse is that you can program up to 11 buttons and determine how heavy or light it feels based on actual weights you can add or remove to the mouse itself. Additionally, if you have other Logitech devices, like the Logitech G513 keyboard, it can sync up to it for lighting effects. It also includes a shift button that can toggle other features temporarily until you let go. This is perfect for snipers who have a high DPI set for close encounters but need the extra precision on the fly. ---PERFORMANCE--- The performance of this mouse is accurate and on point. After downloading the software, you can customize the DPI to your liking. It comes with 4 presets, which you can modify, or you can add additional presets and customize those, perfect for computers that must go from work mode to gaming mode in seconds. The software is easy to understand and the 11 programmable buttons are clearly identified for you on the software so you know which button you are modifying. It even allows you to download existing game profiles that are recommended, like Overwatch, PUBG, Call of Duty, and many others. ---EXPECTATIONS--- The product meets my expectations. I have owned well over 5 gaming mice in my gaming life time, but this is the first gaming mouse I own that features added weight. It makes a difference. I initially played several rounds of Overwatch and PUBG without the weights. Then, I added all 3.6g weights (18 grams total) and tested the mouse again. To me, the added weight gave me more security of when I wanted to stop the mouse instead of overshooting where I intended to aim. That, together with the quick DPI makes for one amazing on-the-fly customizable beast of a mouse. ---VALUE--- The price for this mouse is a steal compared to other mice in its class, as the 11 buttons are well placed together where everything is accessible in logically easy to reach locations. ---APPROVAL--- I highly recommend this gaming mouse to gamers ready to step their game up another level. If you are a first person shooter gamer, look no further than this mouse to help you achieve more victories.

After my old MX series mouse clicked its last click I wanted one that had the same features. Specifically I needed one that offered a scroll wheel that can roll one 'bump' at a time or spin freely. The 502 does that and more. I like the button arrangement. There are two for the thumb that are easily reached. There's one forward of the thumb to vary the DPI on the fly. As with other logitech products they're all customizable. The bottom has a magnetic hinge that hides am alcove for extra weights, adding 3 grams at a time. Even fully loaded it glides smoothly. The lights are a nice astethic touch. Their color cycling or static behavior can be customized through the desktop application or turned off if they become obtrusive. The bottom edge has an extended 'shelf' that your thumb rests on, rather than dragging on the table. It's new to me but I instantly found it comfortable. Tracking is as smooth and responsive as I've come to expect for a logitech mouse. Cranking it up to the full 16k is staggeringly accurate, if not maybe useless for normal desktop applications.
