      Hello Patrick, Very sorry to hear that the G502 HERO does the job of your old mouse, but that you're not to happy with the price you paid. For some added value and benefit, I highly suggest that you use Logitech G Hub software. This will allow you to customize the 11 programmable buttons that the G502 has and as well as the RGB lighting. Here's a link to the download:  https://support.logi.com/hc/en-us/articles/360025298133. Hope that this helps you get over missing your old mouse and that you're doing better.
