Customers are saying

Customers are impressed with the mouse's fantastic overall performance, comfortable feel, and customizable features such as adjustable weight, RGB lighting, and DPI settings. Many also appreciate its reasonable price, extra buttons, and smooth scroll wheel. However, some users find the overall size to be small, and the accompanying software is frequently criticized.

ok, but has a few major flaws

Great programmable software almost great mouse. I use for fps games. the scroll wheel is WAY too loose. I always have it on the clicker thing option so it doesn't go scrolling crazy. I wish i could tighten it up and lower the sensitivity on it. The second thing for me is that the G8 button can be a pain to use sometimes. They should have just moved them over above the G5/G4 buttons. I will probably return this for the Razer - Naga Trinity

Good feel in hand but has problems

I bought my G502 over 2 years ago and have used it every day ever since. For the most part I haven't had any problems with it and have loved the mouse. Here are the pros of the mouse and why I will probably buy it again: It fits my hand nicely Has lots of buttons that can be configured to whatever I want Has a great mouse wheel The weight system is amazing Now for the cons: The covering over the cable is a pain in the neck. It frays and causes the cable to kink. On mine the frame of the mouse squeaks when I press certain buttons. (it always has done this, probably should have brought it back and gotten a new one when I bought it) The pads on the bottom of the mouse eventually start coming off. I have had to get rid of the corners of the pads on the bottom of the mouse. This started happening after about half a year, though lately it is getting worse. The bottom of the mouse has a magnetic clip to hold it on. This isn't strong enough. It has fallen off countless times in my backpack. Overall I would recommend this mouse if you want a mouse that has lots of buttons. It works well both for work and gaming. I will be buying another one soon, though it probably will be the wireless version (the cord is too annoying on the corded one). If you get it, make sure to check if there are any problems. Don't be afraid to bring it back to the store for minor issues such as squeaking buttons.

Great mouse, not so great repackaging

This was an "Open Box", reduced about $2.00 from regular price. It was missing the weights. Somebody didn't check the box too well. Couldn't take it back since I was headed out of town for an extended trip. So, a little CnC Plasma table work and I made my own set.

Great performing mouse for gaming. I had to get used to mapping the buttons in the Logitech software, but it was pretty easy to use.

Not truly ideal, and some of the buttons are a little awkwardly placed, but it's a good middle-ground between the old 3 buttons and something like a Razer Naga.

Hi Tinypp, Thank you for this fair and honest review of the G502 HERO Gaming Mouse---glad to hear how great you think it is. In regards to your one complaint about the DPI. I highly suggest that you use Logitech's G HUB software which allows you to save gaming profiles and settings like DPI among other amazing benefits. Great mouse, when switches arent broke

    Posted .

Great mouse, well designed and fits great in your hand. However, i’m on my third one because the click switches used are pathetic and only last for a couple months, six maybe if you dont game that much. Unfortunately I havent found a suitable replacement that i like as good as this one fits. I know i know, im contributing to problem but i come to realize logitech doesnt care about its quality control after they make a product. They spend their money on the front end and instead of using better switches they just RMA and replace. So, if you like it best you just keep kicking yourself in the shorts and keep buying them when they go on sale.

*THIS HAS NOTHING TO DO WITH QUALITY OF THIS MOUSE OR THE QUALITY OF BEST BUY, BEST BUY RULES* but I, truly, with every bone in my entire being, am appalled with Logitechs customer service. The mouse is of great quality I was super pleased with the feel and the haptic feedback from the mouse clicks and the thumb buttons, it's awesome. The adjustable weights in the bottom??? This mouse is living in 2045! I purchased it for gaming on my laptop which is a MacBook (gross, I know. pc is on the way), but the software wasn't compatible with Big Sur, the new Mac OS, which is fine but in order for me to figure all of this out I had to do all of the research by myself. You might be thinking "eww what a brat" but I'm dumb so it took forever and ever and ever. I was sitting on a live chat with Logitech AFTER a person connected for about 20 minutes waiting for "Kim. G" to say something which she never did, then I called them and I was waiting in a queue for well over 30 minutes (obviously with covid wait times are extended I get it but 30 minutes??), then when they finally did answer the girl could barely speak English and was really just trying to get me off of the phone. She sent me steps to resolve the issue and the steps were for Windows 10 troubleshooting????? She never even asked what operating system I was using, and that should be the absolute first question asked. Idk, very unprofessional all round. Again, the product is nice, don't get this twisted the mouse is definitely quality, but don't buy it if you're a tech dummy like me that relies on tech support, because unfortunately you won't receive any tech support.
