Many also appreciate its reasonable price, extra buttons, and smooth scroll wheel. However, some users find the overall size to be small, and the accompanying software is frequently criticized.

If you're on the fence on purchasing this bad boy I would recommend it 100%. When playing shooters and other PC games it is for me the best gaming mouse I have ever used I just love the feel of it on my hand and the snipe and easy to switch player profile buttons.

For gaming and everyday use, I love this mouse. My previous favorite was the Steelseries 310 so I thought the 600 would be even better but it wasn't, it was worse to me. The only drawback to the G502 is the touchy buttons next to the thumb, which I turned off in Logitech's software. I docked 1/2 star for that. If you have a bigger hand and want a mouse you can add heft to, this is the one you want.

I got one of these and fell in love. I play games but I spend half of my day on my mouse detailing steel. This mouse has adjustable balance and is massively programmable. Very comfortable. I ended up buying another one so I have one at the office and one at home3

This mouse has multiple programmable buttons & sensitivity levels and is perfect for many FPS, crafting, and horde games. I mainly use it for R6 Siege and it works like a charm. Probably one of the better options for the price. It definitely does not disappoint.

Logitech G502 HERO SE Mouse. I’ve had the G900 Logitech (LT) mouse for several good years, and it’s been fine for productivity and games, except no SNIPE button! The G502 adds that function and easier to toggle DPI sensitivity settings. OK, first, the DPI lights DO stay on if you program that feature in the software. I use the LT gaming Software 9.02.65 to do that. While your at it, set the “G” logo to your hearts best intent. I set it to BLUE and SOLID. I’m bad at games so I’m blue a lot? I’m told that the Gaming software is better than the new stuff so I have no comment on that re-cycled game control software. What I have works perfectly well and recognized both mic. Second, the DPI settings for the mouse is, well, extreme! There are five “profiles” that can each store up to five DPI levels for twenty-five total possabilities. You can check as many profiles “active” as you want in software. I check and use just ONE active profile with TWO DPI settings. The other four profiles can remain until I need to use them. Takes but a second to activate them via software. The button just below the thumb free wheel cycles the five DPI profiles. I get lost as to where I even am with five. The three slash shaped side LEDS are ONE lit for snipe or two for run. They are easy to see being placed between your thumb and index finger. Again, I check mark just ONE profile active. And, in games I use and program just TWO DPI settings in that profile; the sniper button and my basic run DPI button. If I hit the side positioned DPI selection, it is a simple quick click to go up or down to the next, and only other, setting. The left click button (paddle?) is concave so your finger finds and feels a natural rest position and doesn’t slip off onto the DPI selectro too easily for me. Sweat or not, it slides into the left click paddle. The right mouse paddle is convex to flat feeling but that somehow works even though it slopes OFF toward the side of the mouse. Weird. Once you leave gaming you can load up as many DPI profiles as you want. Some complained about hitting the DPI in-play while shooting but I mitigated that issue by setting up the mouse the way it is best for me with TWO and one profile. I bring to the game only what I use in the game. Those twenty-three extra DPI settings? But, you have lots of options with this mouse. Oh, the SNIPE can be re-programmed but most games block that move so don’t always get your hopes up. The size of the mouse is OK, maybe on the smaller than average range but OK. I have long fingers but my thumb and pinky rest on either side of the mouse fine for a sudo fingertip grip. My palm isn’t on the mouse body in gaming use. I use my index and ring finger for left and right click, and my middle finger for the thumb wheel. All fingers accounted for. The shape of the mouse allows me to LIFT the mouse and reposition it on the pad and not drop it. I have a really nicely made Corsair M65 PRO that is slippery as the sides are not shaped for my grip. The side slope IN going towards the top, I need them to slope OUT and form a ridge to catch when lifting the mouse. Your tactics will vary here. Some never lift the mouse in play. The M65 is in the closet with the real mice. The weight is on the high side as I was going to REMOVE weights, and found there were none in it! So I guess that settles that, it isn’t a flyweight, nor is it heavy. But it isn’t LIGHT-weight. The shape is SLIGHTLY different than my G900, but once I put the G502 into use it seems semantics as to which is better. I do like the G502’s thumb rest to keep it from dragging on the mouse pad. My pinky seems to grip and stay above the mouse pad. This is a corded model. The G900 was “cordless” but I never used it that way, never. OK, once and why I now never use it that way. The G900 cord was heavier than the G502 so the 502’s cord’s dragging around is mitigated to zilch. Cords aren’t an issue for me. The buttons are fine. LT has the best right/left mouse clicks ever, same as the G900. Some report failures but if this is like the G900 well, it’s still perfect and it’s gone through ALL the DOOM issues plus more and is fine. I never had extra ammo so I did use the left click a lot. Come to think of it, I ran away too so the right click that I programmed to “run” got a workout. The thumb wheel is way better than most. Some are far too hard to “click” or toggle left and right. This seems just right, but it goes left AND right. You know what I mean! Back to the snipe button. It is FORWARD on the mouse body and away from the DPI switches but also kind of away from your (my) thumb, too. The leading edge of my thumb clicks it as I roll my thumb forward. I though I hated this…but it is better than having to LIFT my thumb at least. Just roll it forward a touch. Still, I slip back on the mouse body and do roll into…nothing at times so a demerit there. The button needs to be a smidgen LONGER for me. For productivity it is overkill in features. No complaints there. This mouse does deserve the following for form/fit/function for a gaming mouse if you are a fingertip grip and lift your mouse in game play. The black or SE white black are both fine by me. We shall see about the left/right click cycle life but my G900 shows zero signs of giving up the “click”. For the small snipe button that needs a LIFT to hit every time and the remaining questions on the buttons reliability nagging you, minus one star in quality and ease of use.

I’m on a wry strict budget when it comes to games. I needed a decent mouse, with a cable, (I forget to charge stuff a lot), and nothing more than $40 was the limit. I’m so happy I found this mouse. I tried the same one, but it was more expensive. The only difference I could find was the white coloring on the mouse. The weights to adjust how heavy the mouse can be is a big plus! It’s super comfortable, too. That’s why I wanted this series. I got the mouse for $20, so I have money for candy! Just don’t tell my wife about the candy. I didn’t want to share it with her.

The cable on this mouse feels so premium, it comes with weights that you can put inside the mouse but I haven’t figured out how to do that yet. The mouse feels really nice in the palm of your hand, a little slippery but nice.

I bought this for my brother instead of myself, so far he loves it lol. I regret not getting one, he's has it for 8 months and he hasn't had any complaints about it. Just by seeing and reading all the reviews, I'd purchase this for me without a doubt.
