The year is 2018. I have had enough of the cheap gaming mice from Amazon, and save up enough to buy myself a nicer mouse. I look online, and generally the consensus is the G502 is a great option, for both Logitech's good software and solid build quality. I drop nearly $70 on the thing, and it was worth every penny. All buttons are reprogrammable, the cord is a million miles long, and the response time is amazing. Fast forward 8 years, my trusty G502 is starting to show its age. The plastic finally cracked after hours of daily usage, the cord started fraying only a few months ago, and sometimes the RGB does not work. I think to myself "How could I replace a mouse I've spent thousands of hours using?" It has outlived 3 gaming computers. I waltz into Best Buy, and lo and behold the same mouse is there. Same solid build quality. Same easy software. Same million mile cable. One purchase later and it just works. Recognizes my old profiles and everything. Feels exactly the same, which is to say excellent. If you want a mouse that has a million bells and whistles, this is not for you. If you want a mouse that will work for nearly a decade of continued use, without failing, and have a drop in replacement, there is no other choice. Cannot recommend enough.

Love it good product would buy again went well with my first build

Spectacular mouse for the sale price of $33. I don't feel anything different from the regular G502 all black mouse. I wanted a white mouse to go with my build, but the KDA version was out of my budget.

I find the mouse to be quite smooth and adjustable when playing games online

Both of my sons have this mouse and live it. One was purchased last Christmas and one this Christmas. Great quality and seems like it’s built to last.

If you already have a 502 with the never model sensor, then maybe this isn’t a must. That being said, the new look is sharp, and if you love this mouse as much as I do it may be worth the price tag. Best gaming mouse I’ve ever encountered (though Corsair’s Nightsword is a fair second). I’ve read some other reviews that say it integrates with the new Logitech software better, now. I never had an issue before with my 1st gen 502 and this one does just fine as well.

I loved my first G502 Hero so much I bought a second one. My first one lasted a long time under heavy use, but it began to have problems holding down the right click and double clicking the left click. I bought this second one expecting the same quality that I knew from the first and right out of the box I am disappointed. The mouse is undeniably cheaper, weaker buttons, flimsier scroll wheel, no sleeve on the cable, and cheaper plastic all around. I would not have minded any of these things if it was branded as a different model, but expecting the same product that I had previously bought I feel cheated.

The push to talk button stopped working with less than a year use. I had spent the 9.88 for 2 year protection plan and it was replaced no questions.

This is my first gaming mouse. I like it because I could adjust the sensitivity of the mouse for some games and the weight of the mouse using the "weight bars".
