Customers are impressed with the mouse's fantastic overall performance, comfortable feel, and customizable features such as adjustable weight, RGB lighting, and DPI settings. Many also appreciate its reasonable price, extra buttons, and smooth scroll wheel. However, some users find the overall size to be small, and the accompanying software is frequently criticized.

Tried and True design that's still great today

I am biased as I love the 502. I bought my first Logitech 502 from Best Buy actually around the end of 2011 I think. I got a $50 gift card to steam at the time with the purchase (mouse retailed close to $100 at the time) which I told myself I would use to buy GTA:V when it finally released on PC (which wasn't until 2013 lol). Either way, I managed to use that 502 for a solid decade+ and honestly could have kept going with that mouse but it was starting to show it's age. Scooping a 502 Hero was a no-brainer replacement, especially when on sale. Couldn't be happier with the ergonomics of this mouse and button feel. In the same vein, you get a wide variety of mouse buttons and the ability to map and assign them to your heart's content as well as adjust the mouse's DPI on the fly. It's a great mouse that continues to review well and win people over after all these years.

I’m very impressed with the Logitech G502. The build quality feels premium, and the precision is outstanding, especially for gaming. The customizable buttons and adjustable DPI make a big difference in performance and comfort. It fits perfectly in the hand and responds very smoothly. Definitely highly recommended.

Great Features and Feel, Questionable Durability

This mouse has great feel and accuracy, which is perfect for FPS gaming, RPG's, MMORPG's, or any genre of gaming. The HERO has adjustable DPI settings all the way up to 18,000, but I never found the need to use that high of a setting. I loved the on-the-fly profile buttons so I could change the sensitivity to suit the in-game situation. For web browsing, I loved the un-lockable scroll wheel so you can free wheel through pages of text like a champ. The weight of the mouse is adjustable as well, but I didn't use the weights as I like a lightweight mouse. One downside I experienced was the overall grip was a little slick. I use a modified claw grip, and there is no lip on the right side of the mouse for your pinky finger to grasp. Therefore, I had to grip the mouse a little tighter than I normally do. It took several days to get used to, but once I did, I loved the mouse. Now, for the last and biggest downside; durability. After 2 years of use, the left mouse button started to fail. If I clicked and held, the mouse would sporadically click repeatedly on its own. This makes playing games and day to day activities nigh impossible to enjoy, and I have since switched to a Corsiar Nightsword. Review to come later!

This is a good gaming mouse. Fast, smooth, and offers good control for gaming. It has a comfortable design, which is great when you are gaming for a long time. The weights to personalize the feel of the mouse is interesting, but I have a problem with the cover coming off and the weights falling out. That is my only issue with this mouse.

This is the second time I've gotten this mouse. The last time was over two years ago, and since then it had gone under heavy use. This mouse is the best mouse that I've ever used for gaming. The glide is nice, there are adjustable weights, the RGB is customizable, you can adjust the scroll wheel, and so much more. Great value for the price, but it is much heavier compared to other mice.

Everything this mouse offers for the price isn’t bad. With a sturdy tethered wire and added weights to change how your mouse feels for fps’s has actually helped me as a heavy handed keyboard and mouse player. And you can customize every and any button to your liking when you download their app. Only problem I had was accidentally pressing the dpi up button, which is annoying. I just turned it off on the app.

Excellent mouse with helpful software and weights to modify the responsiveness and feel of the mouse. Also, the Logitech software is not heavy and obtrusive like some of the competitors. I've used much more expensive gaming mice and this one is lacking nothing and excels over the more expensive mice in many categories. Great find.

I didn't get the Logitech G502 HERO Wired Optical Gaming Mouse to use for gaming, I got it because the mouse I currently using was horrible. I am very happy with my new mouse, as it is very comfortable, lightweight, & fast. I would definitely recommend it.

I've had two version of this mouse and now got my third which is the lightspeed wireless version. This mouse is amazing in every aspect. Many customizable buttons, great shape, tasteful RGB, and best of all, customizable weight. Not the lightest mouse out there but for those that actually prefer a mouse that weights more than a tissue, this is the one!

I've used this mouse both for gaming and working from home. I have yet to be disappointed with it. It got dusty from me leaving not the ground for a day while I was out and that caused some issues but after cleaning it it was good as new. Very comfortable and the friticiin-ess scroll , while I don't use it much, it quiet impressive. I did get it on sale and for the price I got I highly recommend it.

It is a wired mouse which is a downside however after using other top brand mouses I've come to the conclusion this mouse is about #1. You can adjust the weight and dpi to a precise level and the mouse fits good in your hands (I have small hands). Overall 8.2/10 Would definitely get the wireless in the future.

On the second day of owning it the m6 button stopped working (button where your thumb is) which is fine everything hiccups every now and then so I did all of the basic fixes such as replugging it in, turn computer off and on, reinstall drivers and software, etc etc. None of it worked. So I looked to see what other people did and none of their fixes worked. So I looked at Logitech's support forum and nothing worked. So I looked through FAQ spec page of all of their products for something (which was terrible) and nothing there worked in fact all of what the support did was make my computer go from seeing the mouse to 'Hid complainant mouse' and the app Logitech wants you to download with it was absolutely terrible, it couldn't even recogize the mouse before tech support make it look like a generic one and it was so user unfriendly I couldn't even really do anything on it anyways. If it worked it would be a decent buy, the software/troubleshooting is the only thing I can gripe about, the quality is decent, it has a smooth scrolling option that is nice when you're going down long pages or lists, fits my hand decently, has weights and easy way to adjust DPI, but it doesn't work properly, and given that I found others having my issue from years ago also saying how buggy and bad the app is and it's still here, from Logitech no less is really not encouraging a repeat customer and I'd go out on a limb if you're going out of your way to get extra buttons/software, you want to use those things and not just buy a 9 dollar actually generic mouse.
