If possible, don't use a USB hub or other similar device and update the device's firmware on GHub. Also, test the device on a different computer and check if that helps. Logitech's switches have been going down in quality over the past few years, even though they're supposed to be rated for an insanely high number of clicks. My husband has now gone through 7 or 8 mice in the past year, including 3 of these, because the switches just fail prematurely and cause random double-clicks. He's not rough on his mice; I'm far more abusive with my gaming clicks than he is, and I've had my mouse (same model) for over 3 years now.

Scroll button is terrible!!!!!

But the scroll wheel is awful!!! There's two modes of the scroll wheel, slippery and supper slippery. It will bounce back half page when you scroll down for one page. I bought it for FPS gaming and I use the middle button to change weapons. I can't control it at all!!! I won't recommend this item until logitech improve the scroll wheel.

Not really a reliable gaming mouse

The Cons: the left button or click does register whenever it wants, and feel cheap, not made to last, the center scroll wheel very cheap also very sensitive it register just by placing the finger on top. for regular use would be a satisfactory mouse, but for gaming you will loose all your games ;( Bad Product Logitech, and I'm a fan of you guys

The reason your wheel would spin for a long time and had no resistance is because it has a hyper scroll wheel feature. This feature can be turned off and on with a click of a button. That button is located directly under the scroll wheel. Once you press it, you'll hear a click and have the Scroll Wheel acting as it normally would. Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I do 3d modeling in blender that needs a lot of precise scrolling with the scroll wheel so having the button that makes it scroll for days or just scroll once has been a life saver. Not to mention everything is soft and responsive. My last scrollwheel was giving me a callous and now I just feel like I'm at the height of mouse luxury. The weights are cool but once I set them I never thought about them again. The light indicator for what speed my mouse is is super helpful but I do keep bumping the speed changing button on things. The button placements are convenient, otherwise. The wire is long, thin, sturdy, but light and doesn't get in the way. I don't even notice the change from wireless to wired.
