IF only... the middle button behind the scroll wheel was able to key bind. yet it is just a scroll wheel resistance button that cannot be re-programed to a custom key bind. otherwise this mouse would be perfect for MMO/large scale games. i returned it and got the corsair knightsword. same thing but the resistance scroll wheel button can actually be re-programmed to a key bind.

I used it to play apex legends and fortnite. The mouse is comfortable for right hand use. No problems whatsoever.

Good gaming mouse. Plug in and go unless you want to fiddle with dpi settings, then lots of options for that.

I have gamed with a variety of mice that have a lot of extra buttons, and the G502 is my favorite so far. It’s incredibly comfortable for me, and I play with a fingertip grip. I could see it working for palm grip, but think claw grip wouldn’t benefit as much, as the layout would make it very difficult to reach a couple of the buttons. I have always had a hard time with MMO mice, and would accidentally fat finger buttons I wouldn’t want to, and usually wasted the front-most buttons due to not being able to reach them accurately enough. I much prefer the G502’s layout! Also, it’s a heavy mouse... even when all of the weights are removed. That could be a deterrent for those who prefer a lighter mouse, but it’s so good in so many other ways that it’s worth making the adjustment.

Great wired gaming mouse at a good price. Just enough buttons for me to do some customization and not be over kill. Perfect weight and size for me as well.

Overall, good mouse. There’s a button right where I’d like to put my thumb but I got used to it. Good for the price

This is my favorite gaming mouse. I've purchased this same mouse multiple times. The ability to change mouse weights helps with personalization.

Another version of the best wired mouse in gaming history. I have been using variations of this design for years now. I own 3 wired and 2 wireless of this design. Hands down the best ergonomics for gaming and office work. I suggest this whenever I build a computer for friends and family. There are issues over time with switches. Mine go for about 5 years before I need to replace the switches. The warranty is 2 years, if you are a heavy gamer just know that your right click is going to die first. Even with this big flaw in the product, the positives far overshadow the downsides.

Good gaming customization and nice lighting features. The weight adjustment seems a feature I don't care about. It did start tracking poorly (dust collecting in the lens area), and as well I'd get multiple clicks from buttons at times, which got to be annoying. This is after quite a lot of use, but it does show me it's not built to high quality standards.

I've owned 2 of these now. I ended up bringing one to my work to use, as my company gave me a garbage mouse. The only bad thing about this mouse is that there are a ton of crevices for dust/dirt/dead skin/etc. to get into. It's not terrible to clean, but a bit annoying.

I've used the G502 (Proteus) before, then switched to the G502 Lightspeed wireless with the charging mouse pad, that didn't work as well for me since I had to keep switching the mouse on and off during a dungeon run to get the macros to work. I decided to go back to the G502 Hero and it has performed flawlessly.
