I don't notice any difference in responsiveness or latency between my wired G502 and this wireless version. Maybe it's a bit of some confirmation bias, since they said this could actually be faster than the wired mouse, but it definitely feels just as if not more responsive. The button customization and everything are the same. Though I did notice a more satisfying clicky feeling from the left and right mouse buttons and a more satisfying tighter mouse wheel that still glides nicely when unlocked.

The wireless is definitely a step up in terms of convenience, but unless you get it for $100 it is hard to justify the price point. That said, the mouse rapidly disappeared from my desk and ended up on my son's desk, as the wireless feature is definitely nice. The best feature of both the wired and wireless versions of the G502 is the infinite scroll wheel - once you had it you can't go back!
