Before switching to the wireless version of this mouse, I had the wired version for 8 years and loved it. Only downside to this version is that the scroll wheel is not metal, so you do miss a little of the premium feel.

That's a fantastic testament to the quality of the G502 series!
We sincerely appreciate you calling the mouse "Old reliable" and sharing that you've been a loyal user of this design for so long—8 years is incredible!
We're glad to hear you've successfully transitioned to the G502 LIGHTSPEED Wireless version. We also value your honest feedback regarding the scroll wheel material; your note about missing the premium feel of the metal wheel is important to us and is helpful for other long-time users considering the upgrade. Thank you! Logitech

I have tried many different mice from different brands and needed an upgrade seeing my last Corsair mouse started to have issues. Decided to go with this beauty and IMMEDIATLY fell in love. I love you can make it more heavy with the weights or keep it the standard weight without them. The button to make the scroll wheel either flow free or turn in stages is VERY nice... didn't know I like this feature so much. Highly recommend. You CAN use it without the G HUB software (I know I am cuz' it doesn't like me) and the lighting and DPI is still very plesant.

    Great Truly Programmable Mouse

I have a twitch in my middle finger that involuntarily hits the right click and always at the wrong time. Unlike other brands that claim to be programmable, this one truly is. I was able to disable the usual secondary button and “move” it to a location that was away from my twitching middle finger. Software was a breeze to set up. I like the fact that It runs a long time before needing a charge. Amazing durability. It got mixed in with my laundry and went through a complete wash cycle. I thought it was toast but it worked and looked like new.

I used a Logitech G500 for about 10 years before getting this mouse, and it's been a smooth transition. The click latency is low enough to not be noticeable to me. Comfortable with a good amount of buttons for push to talk or other things without being crazy. I like it! The price is too high, however.

Just like the g502 without a wire. Which makes it much better. If you can get it on sale it is worth it. Glides smooth and has plenty of buttons. No latency at all.

The Razer Basilisk Ultimate feels a tad smoother than the G502 Wireless, but overall I liked the G502 Wireless better. Possibly because Synapse (the Razer software) is obnoxious and the G Hub software is slightly less so. I picked this mouse up for $87 and feel that's a good price, but I'm not sure I could justify paying too much more than $90, especially since I'm not into competitive gaming. This is a nice mouse, though. Unless you have issues with the size/grip, it's very smooth and responsive. I can't imagine anyone disliking it. 4 out of 5 stars - definitely recommend.

I was using Logitech's MX wireless mouse previously, I originally bought back in 2016. I loved that mouse for the response time, comfort, just the best mouse I had ever used. I was very hesitant to get this mouse because I was so happy with the MX, but I figured if I didn't like this one, I could return and keep using my MX. Ha, there is no way I am returning this G502 lightspeed, it's just as comfortable and much better for gaming, I love this mouse.

I’ve had the G502 Proteus Core since its first few days of life in 2014. This year in 2021 I began wishing I had a wireless version of it, and so I got the G502 Lightspeed as its replacement. It’s fantastic and somehow night and day, yet familiar, at the same time. It’s super high performance, feels just as good as the originals, and has an upgraded sensor compared to the model I had. The battery life is good so far and there isn’t a game I’ve played yet that makes me feel any “lag” that may be there due to being wireless. This feels just as good, if not better, overall.
