Pro's: nice feel, adjustable weights make it possible to increase weight, I like a heavier mouse, Lot's of programmable button's, like the "on the fly" DPI preset changing. Free wheel rotating mouse button is great, took some getting used to, but love it now. Con's: Rotating wheel button has a tendency to roll back which can be annoying. Not sure how that can really be adjusted or fixed and keep the free wheeling aspect. Also the tactile feel of the wheel is way different. It has deep lines etched into the otherwise flat and smooth surface about every 1/4 inch. Would have liked the "normal" rubberized styled wheel as a surface even if it was flat with the etched in lines. The smooth surface almost makes it seem "cheap" and too smooth at times as if your unsure if the wheel is turning as your finger doesn't have the correct feedback sensation that the wheel is moving. Otherwise it's a great gaming mouse for the money.

Comfortable mouse that I hope lasts as long as my other logitech equipment. I've had 2-3 other (non Logitech) gaming mice fail on me, each in less than a year. Critiques: Not wireless, Cord is short for a performance mouse, Wheel feels flimsy

I've been using the excellent Logitech G9x for years and I could never find a mouse I liked using better for everything on my PC than that one... until now! The G502 Proteus Spectrum is even better! This mouse feels incredible under my hand and all the buttons are perfect for my needs, and it offers a good deal of them. I really like the select mode scroll wheel that all metal, I know some complain that it is "slippery" but I don't have any issues with using it. I may be a bit different than many when reviewing this particular mouse because I don't play many games with it, instead I use it for productivity on my Windows 10 PC. This mouse really helps me out in my video production as well as Photoshop. The build quality is great, as expected from Logitech peripherals. I love the Spectrum (RGB) lighting on this one too, nice bonus. I tried using this on my Mac Mini too and I found it to work really well there too, I just prefer my MX Master on the Mac otherwise I'd probably buy another Proteus Spectrum for that as well. All in all, this is one of the best mice I've used so far... I'm sure it works excellent for gaming too, HAHA.

It took my hand a bit to get used to the shape of the g502, but it was totally worth it, fell in love with it. Logitech charmed me again!

I bought this mouse for playing H1Z1 and I haven't been dissapointed. It has very good response time and it is very confortable to use.

I can’t say enough good about the G502! The customizable buttons and adjustable DPI allow you to fine tune your experience. The adjustable weight system allows for the user to adjust the physical weight and balance for heavy handed users. I have really enjoyed this mouse and all of the customizable features.

I am not a gamer but I use a desktop frequently. This mouse has all the features (and more) that you could desire. The buttons and the wheel are programmable so you can set the functions you use most frequently in convenient places. As others have stated, a wired mouse is faster and more responsive than a wireless mouse. This mouse even comes with weights that you can insert into the base of the mouse to customize the balance. I have found that current computer mice are just too light and flimsy but Logitech has put a lot of thought into this one. My only criticism is that although it states it is 'ergonomic", it is a trifle narrow for a man's hand..for me, this is not a deal breaker but perhaps for a gamer it is.

I've used this mouse for CAD work, 3D printing, gaming, and casual web browsing. I love it! Especially for the deal price that I bought this at, I wish I'd bought two. Will definitely be looking at getting another Logitech mouse like this one if/when this breaks.

Very good grip, perfect weight and very good speed in clicks but the dpi buttons are too close to the left click.

I love this mouse, the ability to change the weights adds a whole new level to customization that you don't even know affects you until you actually play around with the different configurations. the software is very user friendly and allows for customization of all types of settings. best mouse i have owned in the last 10 years

this is the mouse i use for games like CSGO and dota2. worked great when pairing with the logitech program and orion keyboard

This mouse has a very nice design and a good feel. It manages to be stylish, comfortable, and great to use all at the same time.

This is a very nice all around mouse that can take a beating. (I assume some of you play overwatch and get ‘those’ groups). But the biggest selling point for me on this is the free scroll mouse wheel. This is worth its weight in gold for Diablo3 players. You can bind force to move on mousewheel, spin it, and no more clicking to get around. I’ve been using my mouse for a few years now, and with the recent $30 price st bestbuy picked up two more to keep on hand!

This is truly excellent do-anything mouse. The adjustable presets let you speed up or slow down the pointer movement at the press of a button. Crank it up for fast gaming action or mellow it out when using productivity apps and browsers. Program the buttons for any situation and save the settings to different profiles that can be recalled quickly. This is my second Logitech "gaming" mouse - I upgraded from an older model that is now connected to another system - and I don't expect to ever use another brand.
