Not worth the money
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. These are the worst sounding headphones I've heard in a long time. I compared them to my Hyper X cloud II set. Setup is clunky, you have to switch connection modes (bluetooth, lightspeed, USB) by pressing the bluetooth button, this was not spelled out anywhere that I could find. Very expensive for headphones that don't do the headphone part very well.

An Amazing Headset for Any Gamer
|Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. The Logitech G522 Lightspeed headset is a high-performance gaming headset with pretty much everything any gamer would want. Quality sounds, mic performance, software, all wrapped up in a quality made package. The headset is made out of a tough, dense feeling matte textured plastic that feels good in the hands and is good to look at. The headset features controls for on/off, mic mute, volume, Lightspeed / Bluetooth pairing, and a USB-C charging port and mic port. The speaker cups are attached on a sliding mechanism that hides the wires and also allows for adjustment for different size heads. The ear cups are made of a soft, breathable memory foam covered in a microfiber feeling cover. The insides are marked L and R to help you orient the headset correctly, just in case you don’t know which way to point the mic. The mic is a bendable beam that bends in, out, left and right. The G522 has multi zone RGB lighting in the ear cups that is adjustable thru the Logi G Hub software to your hearts content. The G Hub software for this is rather impressive for this headset. You have full control over the lighting – that's a given. But the real cool stuff is the fact it has a fully customizable EQ with some actually useful presets and Spatial Audio support. Things like FPS, Media, Bass Boost, etc. are all available at the click of a button. Microphone settings are even more impressive. Blue voice seems to really benefit the way I sound and what comes thru on my mic and gets sent out to whoever is listening. If you are a streamer, you got controls over how you sound – AM or FM station, Night and Broadcaster presets and full Mic EQ customization. Full control over input gain and recording loops are also available. Probably the best mic feature is Sidetone. This allows you to hear yourself in the mic which is great for those of us like me who tend to raise their voice to still hear themselves. It makes you sound more natural and also helps you keep you from annoying anyone in the house with you. One last nice feature about the mic is when it is muted there is a red LED on the end of the mic that you can see as a visual indicator to know you are muted. I don’t have any equipment to analyze the audio quality, but to my ear the audio sounds richer and cleaner than my old headset that cost as much as the G522. I hear more detail in games like clearer footsteps, more warmth in music and voice, and better surround. Granted, some of this is due to the adjustable EQ, but some of it is from the speakers themselves. Also really impressive is the Mic quality. All my friends say I sound clearer, more crisp and more lifelike. I come thru much cleaner and have to ask me to repeat myself less often. So far the battery life is impressive. I normally have the RGB turned off. I turned on battery protection which keeps the battery from charging over 80%. I’m currently at 50% after 10 hours usage with a projected 20 hours left. My other headset would be back on the charger by now. You can also charge this and use it via the included USB-C cable instead of being required to use the Dongle like some headsets require. Add another layer of connectivity with Bluetooth and you are pretty much safe if you ever use the Dongle. One thing I absolutely love, and hope Logitech continues to do, is the fact you can buy replacement parts direct from them, AND they partnered with iFixit to have a ready to go replacement battery kit with every tool you will need! NO SOLDERING REQUIRED. I hope more brands start making their products more repairable and long lasting like Logitech is doing because no one should have to throw away a $160 headset or other electronic item because the company is being anti-consumer. Logitech has made a comfortable, quality headset with tons of features and user repairability for a price that isn’t hard to swallow. I really can’t think of anything I’d improve… and that is saying something.

Super comfortable!
|Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Logitech made a hit with the Logitech G522 Wireless gaming headset! It stands out by being very lightweight for a wireless headset and rounds everything out by being really solid in every other aspect. Unboxing/setup: You get all the essentials like the headset itself, removable microphone, and a charging cable. You can use it out of the box, BUT I highly suggest getting G HUB to get the most out of it. You will be able to tweak sound profiles, mic settings, and be able to keep track of your battery life. Design: This is a great looking headset! It might not be for everyone though as it clearly has a gamer aesthetic going on. I have the black model and it's made of pretty much all plastic with a purple headband for added comfort that can be adjusted in 2 levels depending on your head size. The earpads are labeled L/R which is nice and on the left side is where you will find all your controls - on/off, Bluetooth, volume, mic mute, and a USB-C plug for charging. Comfort: This to me is the highlight of this headset - FINALLY I have a wireless gaming headset that is still very lightweight and extremely comfortable. It comes in at 290 grams with the previously mentioned all plastic build. I could game with this headset all day and not feel any fatigue at all. If you get a chance to try these on before buying I highly recommend you do. Battery life: Battery life seems decent though nothing crazy - after a couple days I went from 70% to 30% - interestingly the battery meter in G Hub only seems to show the battery level in intervals of 10% so I don’t think it's totally accurate like how it is on their mice, keyboards etc. There is also a battery protection mode which you can toggle to extend the life of your battery. This limits the charge to 80% Sound quality: Out of the box I was pleased with the sound quality, but was able to kick it up a notch by tweaking the EQ which luckily is very easy. All genres of music sounded very nice and full with this headset. It was even better in my usual in-game testing (specifically in CS2) . Everything sounded very natural and I could easily pinpoint enemy locations. Sometimes when I get a new headset things just sound “off” and weird which I usually have to get used to. G522 did not have any of those types of problems. Microphone: Overall the microphone is good. It doesn’t blow me away like some other reviews mention, but it's still fairly above average especially for a wireless headset. My voice came mostly clear and it was very good at isolating loud sounds coming from other rooms in my apartment. What I don’t like about the microphone is how inflexible it is - I can’t really get it as close to my mouth as I’d like. Wireless/performance: The wireless performance of the G522 was overall great - everything felt on point and I didn’t get any lags or delays EXCEPT whenever there’s no sound playing for a couple seconds the headset seems to go into a “soft” sleep-mode and takes like 0.5 seconds to kick back in. A bit annoying and I couldn’t find a way to turn this off. Perhaps a future firmware update will address this. Overall the G522 is a pretty easy choice for a super comfortable wireless gaming headset! Pros: * Thoughtful design * Sound quality * Microphone quality * Super comfortable Cons: * Buggy sleep mode

Great Headset all around
|Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I've been using the Logitech G522 headset on and off for about a week now switching between my current headsets and the Logitech G522. And it's been a great experience—especially when it comes to comfort and sound quality. Comfort This thing is super comfortable. It’s lightweight, doesn’t clamp too hard on the head, and the ear cups are soft and breathable. I’ve worn it for long “working” sessions—3 to 5 hours at a time—and it never got hot or annoying. However, my office/room is kept around 72F so I don’t know if that will make a difference I also sometimes wear glasses and had zero pressure or discomfort, my guess it has to do with “memory foam” not pressing down too hard.. The headband sits nicely on top and doesn’t dig into my scalp either. Overall, really well-designed for comfort, especially during long sessions. Sound Quality Sound-wise, it’s awesome for listening to music, gaming, conference calls etc.. Everything is really clear—you can tell where sounds are coming from without having to crank up the volume. Bass is solid, not too boomy, and the mids/highs are clean. If you are the type that’s picky and can tell the difference between really high end headset this might not be for you. I also watching Netflix shows were immersive. Overall the Logitech G522 just sounds good. Other Good Stuff • Battery life is killer. Doesn’t have ANC so it doesn’t drain battery as fast • The mic sounds clear and has a little LED that lights up when muted (super helpful). • It connects easily to my PC, phone, not just for gaming Final Verdict The Logitech G522 is just a solid, all-around gaming headset and overall Super comfortable for long play sessions, great sound quality for both casual and competitive games, and enough features to make it worth the price. If you're looking for a headset that feels good and sounds even better, this one’s definitely worth checking out.

Simple and feature rich
|Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Logitech did a great job of putting all the essential features of a good gaming headset in an easy-to-use unit. It could not be simpler to get started out of the box. Just connect the headset to the included USB charger and it will be ready to go in about an hour. The mic comes separated and is easily connected via a snap in connector. The mic flexes really well and has an easy to reach mute button and there is a red light that comes to let you know it is muted. I connected the included USB dongle to my PS5 Pro, and the headset instantly connected. I like there are not a lot of extra confusing buttons. All are easy to access and there is a power, Bluetooth connection (not needed if use the dongle) mute button and volume scroll button. The headset has a soft comfortable headband that is flexible and has two connection configurations that is easily changed by removing from a clip. The headset is very light and comfortable. It stays cool and comfortable during extended play sessions. The sound is excellent, and you can hear all ranges of sound. The RGB lighting is an added benefit and is bright and not too overpowering. It connects easily to a PC as well either through Bluetooth or the USB dongle as well. The only drawback with my PS5 Pro is that with the dongle connected the sound is headset only even with the headset off. The USB dongle must be removed to get sound through my TV. This is not an issue with the headset and is PlayStation function. I highly recommend if you want a high-quality gaming headset, that feels good, looks good, sounds good and is super easy to use.

Comfortable and customizeable
|Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. If you’re looking for a comfortable and quality gaming headset, the G522 Lightspeed Wireless Gaming Headset from Logitech is a very good choice. It’s super easy to use with two different types of connection options: Bluetooth for laptops or even your phone, and the “light speed” USB method, which connects immediately, the same way a wireless mouse or keyboard would. The sound quality is excellent, and the mic works clearly—plus it’s removable, which I really like. When I'm not playing online, no need for the mic, and it is easily taken off. The customizable lights are also a cool feature, and the colors are vibrant and pretty. The headset itself is really comfortable overall. My only complaints are that the mic doesn’t stay bent in place very well so you have to readjust every so often as you play, and the fit of the headset isn’t easily adjustable for different head sizes (I have kind of a small head, and the G522 is almost too big for me). However, it’s still one of the best headsets I’ve used, and has a great battery life- which is good for me because I play hours at a time. I’d absolutely recommend it.

Comfort & Performance!
|Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. The Logitech Lightspeed G522 Wireless Gaming Headset is an exceptional headset and a fantastic value. The comfort level on this device is unsurpassed by anything I have used, the lightweight design combined with the comfortable headband and ear covers are next level. The sound quality is also fantastic! I have no issue hearing footsteps in first person style online games, and the sound effects in every game are clear and powerful. The battery life is amazing as well, this headset is definitely designed with those long marathon gaming sessions in mind. One of my favorite things about this headset is the amazing microphone. Everyone in my game chats have commented on how much better I sound on this mic over my several other gaming headsets. The fun factor is there too! The LED lighting on the ear cups is just such a cool touch and definitely gives the device that overall gaming aesthetic that all of us gamers are looking for! Overall the Logitech G522 Lightspeed is a fantastic value and I have zero reservations recommending this to anyone.

Excellent Gaming Headset
|Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. The Logitech G522 Lightspeed wireless gaming headset is an excellent choice for your gaming needs. The G522 Headset has up to 70 hours of wireless gaming. This means you can spend more time gaming instead of charging. I've been using them over the past couple days, and I still have 90% charge. These are a one size fit all type of setup, meaning there are no adjustments necessary to get the perfect fit for your head/ears. You just put them on and they fit. The cups are cushioned very well and are quite comfortable. I wear glasses while gaming, and I didn't feel any extra stress in that area that would make me want to remove them. The controls are all easily accessible on the left cup. There are only a couple buttons and a volume control, so it's easy to remember what does what, and where it is at. You get excellent range too, up to 98 feet via wireless. This comes in handy when you need to go to the kitchen or bathroom and not miss any part of chats You get two types of connectivity, 2.4GHz wireless, and Bluetooth. I love this type of setup because you can simultaneously connect to your PC and phone and be able to answer any incoming calls while you are gaming. The sound quality is there out of the box, but I love the fact you can tailor the sound to your liking via the Logitech G Hub software. There are lots of options you can adjust, and you also get access to DTS spatial sound through the app which to me make a huge difference in your gaming and video watching experience. You also get access to the RGB lighting on the headset as well, and there are many options to chose from, and you can also customize your own personal colors. The detachable mic is a nice touch. There are many times when I don't need to use a mic, and I can just remove it. Also, a really cool feature of the mic is when you mute it, it has a red led on the tip that you can see when you look down so that your know immediately whether your mic is hot or not. Overall, I really enjoy using this gaming headset, and would definitely recommend it.

Posted .This is an absolutely stellar review of the Logitech G522 Lightspeed wireless gaming headset! We're genuinely thrilled to hear how much you enjoy its features and performance.
It's fantastic that the impressive 70-hour battery life is letting you game longer without interruption, and we're especially happy that the "one size fits all" design, cushioned earcups, and comfortable fit (even with glasses!) are making your experience so seamless. The easily accessible controls on the left cup and the excellent wireless range are definitely features we focused on for convenience.
We're also delighted you're making the most of the dual connectivity (2.4GHz wireless and Bluetooth) for simultaneous PC and phone use, and that the sound quality, customizable via G Hub software with DTS spatial sound, is enhancing your immersion. The RGB lighting options are a cool bonus, and your appreciation for the detachable mic and its red LED mute indicator is spot on – those small details really make a difference. Thanks for the strong recommendation!

Good mid range gaming headset
|Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I got the opportunity to try these. I have 2 basic g435's that my kids use with an adapter for their switches that have worked well. They were light and comfortable, and after almost 2 years, they are doing good. These are about triple the cost of those, but build wise these are a bit sturdier, and have the flexible mic out front. These have colored leds that you can control by the logitech g hub app. I have that already installed on my computer because I am using mice from logitech already, so this connected easily. You can customize what the lights are doing, or turn them off. Battery life will vary with that they claim 40 hours with constant lights, and 70 plus hours with lights off (website mentioned 90) I know with my family use here in the summer, these last about 2 weeks on our system. The mic’s sound is good and clear, it is flexible and can push in our out and up a bit, but does not tilt out of the way. It is removable and connects solidly by 3.5mm jack. They fit snug and the muffs seal fairly well, and are made of a breathable material. I have a couple other sets from competitors at this market level, and these sound at fit much like them. These are slightly lighter, so prolonged wearing is comfortable. The sound is very good and if you listen to music, the right blend of highs and lows. But for gaming these are very good. I like the placements of controls, buttons responsive with good feel, the volume dial has a good glide. There is no haptic feedback. The only fault, and no deduction for it because I'm old, is no manual or booklet with operation for them, just pictograms on thr box lid and a qr code. I've worked logitech before, so no major mystery for me, but nice for a new person. I find no other issues and must give these a full 5 stars

Great evolution of the G733
|Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This evolution of the G733 came at the perfect exact time. I had to order a new elastic headband because the original one worn thin. I have had a few others that I tried and I've often come back to the Lightspeed series because of the simplicity. However I've tried other headsets and my only one true gripe I gave with the G522's is that the microphone does not tilt or swivel up or away. In other headphones, lifting the mix muted them, but for these you have to push a button. The unboxing is pretty minimal. The Lightspeed dongle is noticeable shorter than the previous version. You also get a charging cord and instructions. I have to say connecting with my PC was super simple with and without installing the software. I would suggest to download the software because you can get specific on settings like things like the light pattern. And that's just the tip. You can also adjust the EQ but the presettings work pretty well. The first thing you should do when connecting the headphones is to perform the firmware update. Then you are golden. The mic is pretty clear as others had mentioned compared to the G722. On my usage, plugging it in a USB c port does not work as well. It kept repeating that the USB is connected and doesn't stop. Not sure what's going on there. Wireless it's flawless. Corded it didn't play well with me. Would I still recommend this? A resounding yes!

Major Audio Cut-Out Issue – Very Disappointed
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I bought the Logitech G522 LIGHTSPEED Wireless Gaming Headset for $159.99 and had high expectations, but it has a serious flaw: in LIGHTSPEED mode, the audio cuts out after about 7 seconds of silence or low volume. This makes using Discord, streaming, or playing games with quiet moments extremely frustrating. Logitech released firmware updates claiming to fix the issue, but even on the latest version (1.3.1918) the problem still persists. The only temporary workaround is enabling “Listen to this device” for the headset mic in Windows sound settings or keeping the sound settings window open so the mic stays active. These are not acceptable solutions for a headset in this price range. For $159.99, you shouldn’t need hacks and constant troubleshooting just to stop your audio from cutting out. Until Logitech fully resolves this, I cannot recommend this product.
