Then I factored in the need to replace batteries and decided nope. Returned it instantly.

This week I was testing the Logitech G604 wireless gaming mouse and once again they hit a home run. In the box you will find the mouse, battery, Lightspeed dongle and extension USB cable. This mouse features 16 programmable buttons, free spinning scroll wheel and Bluetooth (just in case you don't want to use the Lightspeed dongle.) Connecting the mouse was simple although it starts you out with a low DPI. However, it has 2 buttons on top of the mouse that allow you to adjust the DPI on the fly which is my favorite feature. To reprogram any of the buttons you will have to download and install the Ghub software located on their website. As for game play, this thing is absolutely awesome! it feels so good in your hand, is super responsive and having the ability to adjust the DPI without pausing and going through software is absolutely necessary. Great Job Logitech! I highly recommend.

For FPS I don’t think the side buttons are good because they are shaped so if you make a quick movement you can accidentally press them.

Well, no the software that allows you to setup the programmable buttons is terrible. It frequently will change your keybinds in the middle of a game. Uninstalling and reinstalling the software fixes it - for a short period of time. Logitech support doesn't have record of this model on their site - getting support was impossible.

The right click on the mouse is intermittently registering when being held down. I used this mouse for light gaming and web browsing. So in games like Halo when aiming down sights, it will aim, then zoom back out as if you released the right click even though you didn't. $77 for this mouse and it couldn't even last 7 and a half months. Although it WAS a great mouse I DO NOT RECCOMEND.

I installed the software and it had me remove the older logitech app then it had an error and everything else went down from there. It had a slow response even when the lightspeed was engaged. I lost my G710+ shortcuts and the app that I was using with it. This is the time that "if it's not broke, don't change it" deal.

Now has developed holding mouse down issue that prevents the windows mouse from being registered as down even if the physical button isn't let up. It is well within the 2 year warranty but Logitech WILL NOT HONOR THE WARRANTY. Their website will direct you to a place where it seems you can file a warranty claim but just directs you to their live chat service. The live chat help will only give you a list of trouble shooting steps that don't work, and then close your ticket without helping you file a claim. Buy from a different company that makes working products and supports their customers.

I googled the issue and there's many other people with the same problem and it seems to be from cheap hardware parts. Anyway I tried to get warranty for the mouse and logitech needs a phone video clip of me reproducing the issue, while showing serial number. The problem is that the serial number is located below the AA battery and the mouse has no electricity without batteries (obviously) and thus there's no way to give logitech what they want in order to get a warranty for a $40 mouse. The warranty is therefore no existent.
