Customers are saying

Customers regard the G703 Wireless Optical Gaming Mouse with RGB Lighting highly for its excellent battery life, wireless functionality, and comfortable weight. Many appreciate the responsive performance, accurate tracking, and ease of use, although some found the shape and price less appealing. A few users experienced issues with the scroll wheel and buttons. Overall, the positive feedback on performance and features outweighs the negative comments.

    Logitech Does It Again

Logitech is the undisputed king of wireless mice. The G703 only reaffirms this. The mouse has adjustable weight, expansive controls via software, and feels premium in the hand. The 12,000 DPI sensor is crazy accurate, but way beyond my level of control. At my age it is just too much, but for the younger, agile gamer it could be a great fit. The mouse feels great in my hand even though I do miss the thumb rest seen on my MX Master 2S. I paired the mouse up with my Logitech G810 keyboard for some fun lighting effects, but honestly they are not nearly as extensive as either Razer or Corsair's options. The software allows for a myriad of options ranging from the selectable DPI button below the scroll wheel to button heat mapping and surface sensitivity. Battery life is the big question for me. I have not had it long enough to truly evaluate what I can expect, but the addition of PowerPlay support could make it a non-issue. Unfortunately, the PowerPlay mats aren't available yet so I will just have to see how it goes for now. The ability to wireless charge a wireless mouse could be the ultimate combo. Overall, another winner from Logitech. If you are in the market for a true wireless gaming mouse than this should be on your short list.

If you like everything to function properly, pass on this model. Everything is wonderful unless you wish to have a reliable wheel. The wheel is just trash. Even with the update to "fix" the issue it only worked for a few days correctly.

The thing that I love about the Logitech G703 over some of its counterparts is that it comes with adjustable weights. If you are playing a twitch shooter then you can take the weight out and that makes the mouse lightweight. The mouse actually annoys me how light weight it is without the weight so the whole time that I've been using the mouse I've kept the weight in. Logitech's software has dramatically improved over time since I last used a Logitech G700. While it doesn't have a great number of programmable buttons, it is still great for a great deal of video game types. It's also a really good day to day usage mouse because it is both wireless and wired depending on what kind of setup that you would like. It is one of the models that supports Logitech's wireless charging system, but with the pad being as expensive at it is I can't see it being that practical, but battery life was very good on it as a whole and Logitech's software allows you to track it as well. Overall it's a really good mouse for just about everything.

In my opinion this is the best mouse on the market. I had the G903 and well as the G703 and imo the 703 is hands down the better option unless you’re left handed. The ergonomics are fantastic. Probably the best feeling mouse I have ever used and I have had a ton of gaming mice. The rubber sides also feel great and add a lot to the feel of the mouse. The wireless is absolutely flawless and there is no difference between wired and wireless…..amazing what they have accomplished here. It’s truly a gamechanger. The buttons are perfect, including the mouse wheel…which few mice seem to be able to accomplish. Battery life is also fantastic…I’m getting around 25 hours of game time before needing to charge it again. The only negative I can think of is that it only has 3 extra buttons but it also depends what you’re looking for. If you’re looking for an MMO mouse with tons of buttons, this isn’t it. If you don’t need a bunch of buttons this is an awesome mouse.

Feels like a step back for the G700 series

I love Logitech mice. Including this new G703, I now own 5 different pairs of Logitech mice. But this G703 feels like multiple steps backwards while taking one step forwards. Let me explain why. First off, this is the lightest Logitech mouse I now own—and that's WITH the optional weight added in. Sure, the material feels good in the hand, and it's certainly comfortable, but it doesn't come off as feeling...premium. The contours are smooth and very well crafted, but I simply can't get over how light and hollow it feels. The contours for your thumb and pinky are less concave, so the mouse feels larger in comparison to previous models like the G700s. I've never had issues regarding comfort for any of my Logitech mice. So at the very least, they didn't take a step backward in comfort, but the mouse feels more hollow compared to others I own. This is where I'm starting to notice Logitech's new vision for the G700 series. Logitech believes that gamers don't need more macros, so they've given you 2 thumb-accessible buttons instead of the 4 found on the previous generation. And while they were at it, they also took away the ability to shift your DPI profile up and down—instead, allowing you to press one button to cyclically shift profiles (i.e. 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 1, 2, 3, etc). But here's where they killed me even further: they took away hyper scrolling. That's right, you're stuck with the scrolling option found on entry-level knock off gaming mice. Some people like that, but I like options. I can't tell you how many times I used hyperscrolling to get to the bottom of a long page of unimportant text that I didn't want to read. To add insult to injury, all 4 of my other mice have hyper scrolling—3 of which are marketed as gaming mice. So what features have been added? Well, they've added a supposedly better sensor (which I highly doubt will make a substantial difference), POWERPLAY wireless charging (this is actually really cool), and RGB lighting. Honestly, I'm not going to get into the RGB lighting. I think it serves little to no purpose aside from aesthetics, and the useful features that it has been substituted for makes me dislike it even further. And unfortunately, I can't comment much on the POWERPLAY wireless charging feature, since I don't have the POWERPLAY mat. But let me say this: it's a cool concept, I like that Logitech is doing it, but please also give me the features I have come to love in the G700 series. Having an excellent mouse that I also don't need to worry about plugging in to charge would be fantastic. For newcomers to Logitech mice, you may find that the G703 is what you want. But for someone who knows how Logitech's mice have evolved overtime, the G703 is simply a poor replacement for its predecessor. The ONLY saving grace for this mouse is POWERPLAY. And if you don't intend to shell out the extra money for the POWERPLAY mat, then don't consider this mouse because far cheaper Logitech mice have more features for substantially less.

    Logitech does not disappoint

I've always been a fan of Logitech products and this mouse is no exception. One of the concerns I always have with wireless products (i.e. mouse, headphones, etc.) is connectivity and battery life. If you have a product that doesn't have good wireless technology, it can be incredibly frustrating to deal with a sticky mouse, lag time, and unexpected disconnections. Additionally, battery life of wireless products often leaves something to be desired. The last thing you want to have to worry about in the middle of a game is your mouse going out on you. None of these issues exist for me with the Logitech G703. It connects perfectly and easily, and I have not experienced any disconnection issues. The battery also hasn't been an issue at all. I feel like this thing will last all day and night. On top of all of this, the sensitivity of this mouse is second to none; it responds well to the lightest touch. Lastly, I love the overall design. A lot of gaming mice are way over the top for me. They're huge, bulky, and difficult to maneuver. The size and features of the G703 are exactly what you need without being to big. Design is sleek and comfortable to use for extended periods of time. I have no complaints about this mouse and highly recommend it.

Great mouse until it breaks.... and it will break. I've had to RMA this mouse 4 times. Wheel will skip, button with double click, etc. This is all over a span of 2 years. It's great when it works, just can't depend on it holding up. This is the only electronic item I've had to RMA these past 2 years and I take care of my stuff and purchase a lot.

    Baseline Wireless Gaming Mouse

This mouse is essentially the newest iteration of Logitech's industry baseline gaming mice. This newest version has a few tricks up it's sleeve, including compatibility with the upcoming PowerPlay mat, which isn't out as of this review. Feel: For a wireless mouse of this price point I would have expected the plastics to be brushed or feel a little more lux than they do, but it has a standard issue mouse feel The optional weight gives it some heft which is nice, and without it it's VERY easy to almost send skittering across your desk. The buttons are solid and I've always liked Logitech's tilting/clickable scroll wheel design over others. On board button for adjusting DPI is handy, but not something you'll probably use a lot. This is DEFINITELY a right handed mouse with absolutely zero ambidexterity to it. Not a drawback, just something to note that lefty's will want to look elsewhere. Wireless: I didn't notice any lag with this mouse via wireless, regardless of the DPI I set it to. It keeps a solid connection and it seems Logitech has been in the wireless peripheral game long enough to have it down. I wish at this price it also had bluetooth so I could forgo the Logi dongle, but that's part of the reason for the 3 stars. Charging/Cable: I was tickled to see that they've finally figured out when your mouse battery goes dead it's probably because you're USING it and you'll want to resume using it. This version's newest cable and connector place the cable in the most sensible place on the front of the mouse in case you DO continue using it corded when the battery charges. Overall: This version is similar to those that have come before it. Solid improvements in DPI and Wireless make it a solid choice. I think there are others on the market with more wow, but you can't go wrong with this one. Especially if you manage to find it on sale. I'm curious to see how the functionality expands with the upcoming PowerPlay mat.
