Customers are saying
Customers recognize the G733 LIGHTSPEED Wireless Gaming Headset's exceptional sound quality, comfort, and impressive battery life as significant strengths. Many also appreciate its lightweight design and wireless functionality, along with the customizable RGB lighting. However, some users note that the bass could be improved, and a few express concerns about the volume control and software experience. While some find the price point high, others feel it's justified by the overall quality.

Stylish, but distracting for glasses wearers
|Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. The Lightspeed G 733 headset is sort of an odd peripheral. I was initially disappointed to find that, as an owner of a Lightspeed wireless keyboard, and previous owner of Logitech’s line of unifying receiver products, that I would still need to use up a USB port on my PC to plug in a different dongle to use the headset instead of sharing the receiver for my keyboard. I can guess at the technical reasons, pairing, bandwidth, whatever, but it still feels like a step backwards compared to the ease of use that the unifying receiver has. It does make it easier to move from PC to PS4, however, as I just have to move the dongle over. Comfort-wise, this model has the same elastic-band-under-rigid-frame style that is popular in gaming headsets these days, and for good reason. They are comfortable to wear all day, with minimal pinching at the ears, even when wearing glasses. I’ve got an average sized head according to bike helmet manufacturers, but even when I extend the frame as large as it will go (which isn’t very far, maybe a centimeter), it does feel a little snug. The RGB, well, it is what it is. Before COVID-19, I would have scoffed at the idea of lights you couldn’t see while you were wearing, strictly as a vanity item that nobody would ever even realistically see if all you do is game in your room at your PC. But now that I mostly only see my friends and family over video chat, it’s nice to have even a little tech bling going on. Being able to control and sync the RGB to that on my keyboard through the Logitech G Hub software is sort of cool, I’ll admit. So, yes, I am on board with the concept. Personally, as a glasses wearer, I’ve had to shut the lights off on my headset as they get reflected in the corners of my lenses causing distractions while gaming. To test the sound quality in “normal” usage, I queued up the second of the prequel movies, the scene with the seismic charges. The power from the blasts was almost palpable, as I felt the rumble of the subsonics build up foreboding feeling levels of pressure. The action in my ears swirled from side to side and up and around, zipping to and fro to match what my eyes were being bombarded with. For “gamer” usage, I launched Overwatch and played Mystery Heroes mode for a while to hear all the different voice prompts all around me. Having positional audio cues in a game like this is extremely important, as enemies can come from anywhere, so being able to hear where footsteps and gunfire is coming from without having to look is great for overall awareness. The microphone is odd in that it is detachable, connecting via the usual 1/8” jack. The tapered shape of the end is meant to prevent it from being inserted incorrectly so that the right set of microphones is pointing towards your mouth allowing the environmental microphone to track your surroundings. A button on the rear of the left cup mutes the microphone when desired, along with a colored flash of the lights to indicate on or off. What’s more, the mute button seems to not affect the headset independently, but sends a software signal muting your actual system. I was originally hesitant about a software shut-off instead of the more common hardware shutoff by folding up the mic (which you can’t do with this one, only unplug it completely) until I saw the visual indicator show up in my Microsoft Teams meeting. Before I noticed that, I was always second guessing whether or not I was really muted before muttering under my breath over a co-worker’s comment. The G Hub software allows you to use different filters for your voice, altering the quality of your voice in different ways, but not to where it is unrecognizable, just smoother sounding. Overall, I like the understated design and clean lines of this headset. I’ve had to disable the RGB function because of the issue with the reflection in my glasses. The fact that the RGB lights are able to sync to my keyboard is not worth the headache of them constantly shining and shifting colors in my periphery. Besides, they only sync from headset to keyboard, not the other way around, so I wouldn’t be able to use my favorite keyboard RGB scheme, Echo Press. Even without the lighting, the headset remains light and comfortable, with decent audio and quality voice recording options.

Posted .It's unfortunate that you're experiencing muffled audio quality with your Logitech G733 headset. While the G733 is generally well-regarded, microphone quality can vary depending on individual setups and software configurations. We will take this as a feedback for future.

Great value!
|Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. The headset is lightweight and nicely built with good attention to comfort. The extra suspension headband is a very nice touch. The earpads are soft and large without being extreme and are comfortable even after extended use. They fit tightly enough to block out a lot of outside sound without being painful clamps. The boom mike is reasonably unobtrusive and quite adjustable (and can be removed). But the sound! The 40mm drivers are a bit bright, but the Logitech G HUB software has an equalizer which really helps. It even supports surround sound on some types of input. One drawback, for me it was sad that the new software didn't recognize my old Logitech G300s mouse and disabled the light features. I would have been happy it had just left things the way they were if the mouse wasn't recognized. One suggestion, the voice control in the Hub has a lot of options to improve the quality of the voice, but I would have loved to see fun voice presets like Leeroy Jenkins, Donald Duck, Darth Vader, etc.

Don’t buy! Sound broke in 4 months!
||Posted . Owned for 4 months when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Disappointed. Extremely. Especially that it’s logitech i wouldn’t expect this from them. Also with the headset being 140$ i wouldn’t expect anything bad to happen with this purchase right? Wrong. Literally had this for 4-5 months and i stepped away from my pc for a second and heard a weird sound coming from my pc area. Well here it was the sound coming out of my headset, sounded very very static and like someone had dumped water on it. I don’t understand how that just all of a sudden happens, it wasn’t dropped or anything. Now i have to get a new headset and spend another 100-200$ on some junk that won’t work. Thanks logitech.

Not good for large heads
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.VERY tight for my admitabily large head. Annoying ticking sound in my left driver if listening carefully. Too much bass in my opinion even after EQ adjustments. Too plasticky, and overall not a great choice for the price. Going to try something else.

||Posted . Owned for 3 months when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This headset...it was great while it lasted, that's all I can really say about it. It stopped charging out of nowhere and, after some researching, I learned this is a common issue with these headsets. We bought them for my son for Christmas and they stopped working a little over a month lster.

Research this headset before purchasing
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Read the fine print on the box!!! This headset was nice but unfortunately, if you want to tweak the sound of it, it does not allow you to transfer the changes while playing a PS4. It only allows you to keep your settings on your laptop through logitech. Only reason why I had to return it.

Posted .Hello Nessa8, we are so sorry to hear that the G733 headset did not meet your expectations. You are correct, to get the full features, you'll need to have access to our G-hub software on a computer. Unfortunately, that means you won't get the full features on your Playstation. Just the standard stereo sound. We apologize for any inconvenience. Thank you for your review. Excellent Mid-range Gaming Headphones for PC/PS4
|Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I own a lot of wireless headphones and the G733 are one of my new favorites. Gaming headphones can sometimes be a bit bulky and heavy, but the best thing about these is how lightweight and comfortable they are to wear for an extended period of time. While there are certainly lighter options out there, they only support wired (yuck) or Bluetooth which stinks if you care about sound quality. The G733’s use Logitech's Lightspeed, a low latency, highly accurate wireless transmission technology that quite simply gives you wired performance without the wires. Not kidding, I've been using Lightspeed mice for a while now and recently Logitech's excellent G915 keyboard without any issues. The only downside to LightSpeed is it does require a USB dongle and as I now have a collection of Lightspeed accessories all of these dongles fills my available USB ports quickly. Logitech if you read this – please make a universal Lightspeed dongle! Sound quality is exceptional at this price point, especially for gaming. I have tested it with several games on my PC and laptop including Fortnite and Madden 21. The modern soundtrack in Madden sounds great with these as does the thuds and bumps of the gameplay. The 40mm drivers provide plenty of rich, full sound, which can be tuned extensively using the Logitech G Hub software. You can also enable and test the surround sound feature using the G Hub software. I found that In Fortnite I could make out the sounds of gunshots from different directions and to a lesser extent footsteps. On my PS4 I was playing The Last of Us 2 and found these to be so much better sounding than the headphones I was previously using which while much more expensive were just connected via Bluetooth to the TV. Another area where these headphones excel is the microphone. I tend to believe this is due to the included software as much as the mic itself. Logitech has graciously given us access to their Blue technology, the same featured on their highly rated Blue microphones. In addition to choosing from standard Blue Vo!ce presets you get access to advanced settings such as voice equalizer, noise reduction settings, gate, de-esser, compressor, limiter, and high-pass filter to create your own custom presets. The voice quality was excellent in my Fortnite gaming sessions with friends. The biggest downside I see compared to other gaming headsets I have is that the mic does not retract, nor can it fold up and out of the way if you are not using it. The only option is to remove it which can be problematic if you’re someone like me who loses things. The RGB is cool, but not a big deal to me. You can’t see it while you are playing so it is only useful for others looking at you. If you are into what others see then you should also know that Logitech sells different colored headbands and microphone covers on their website to personalize the look of these. Pros: Lightweight Wireless - LIGHTSPEED Long lasting battery DTS Surround Sound Utilizes G-Hub Software Blue Vo!ce technology USB-C Charging Personalization Accessories Cons: Mic cannot be folded up; only detached Larger USB Dongle than other Lightspeed dongles. Overall – these are a great set of headphones at an affordable price that I’d recommend to any gamer.

sound balancing
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I got this headset after I tried it on in a BestBuy. all things considered, this is a good headset but I had a problem with the sound playing more out of my right ear than the other which is really annoying, and the software they tell you to download has no way to fix this and neater dose my pc (trust me I looked). so I did what anyone would do and returned them and ordered a new set. 6 days later when I got them they had the same problem witch is super strange so I'm not sure if they just gave me the same pair back or what. in the end, I think it's overall better to spend 20-30 dollars more and go for something else.
