Lights up, mechanical. Michael Bay movies are bad.

So i picked up this keyboard after having to return the Razor Blackwidow Ultimate. This keyboard does a great job retiring my Logitech G15 i have had for 7 years, but still works. So this keyboard does not have any double tapping problem that the Blackwidow from Razor was giving me. My right shift key works(Blackwidow broken out of box new) and no random capping letters while using the left shift key. So Logitech QC staff seems to be paying attention to detail unlike Razor. I wish i had done a little more looking up to notice that a lot of people had problems and the best buy staff i talk to today(01/11/2015) had said, "We have been getting a lot of Razor Blackwidow's returned". The light on the G910 is so much brighter then the G15 even when it was new. I really didn't like the wheel for the volume, but it could been worst. I don't really miss the digital display that the G15 had since i never really used it. The keys don't make loud clicks while typing, unlike the Blackwidow which was a bit trying at times. Having fewer macro key's then the G15 which had 18 doesn't bother me, though the G6-G9 seem a little out of the way to use. I really didn't know what the ARX Dock was at first, but see it's used to hold a tablet (not sure if it's just limited to Ipads or can be used for any tablet) so that was neat. Overall i want my product to work right out of the box new and Razor failed to deliver that. I pay a little more for the G910, but got a far better keyboard in the end. I've used Logitech products since i was 10 years old and i will continue to them for as long as possible. Keep up the good work Logitech, you deserve it.

Pros - nice features; love the customization, lighting and volume scroll wheel. Cons - I kind of miss the screen the G15 had and I find it a little difficult to type on for some reason.

Lighting software is fairly complicated to use. LED's started to fail on some colors after 3.5yrs. Warranty is 2yr.

I now own two of these in my household. Once for my main HTPC/Gaming PC build and one on for a gaming rig I built for my son. This thing is beautiful! I went with this over other keyboards because of the convenience of having only one cable. Since I don't normally use this on a desk and needed to extend the cable this was a big deal for me. The Logitech software makes it really easy to program the lighting and macro keys. I just wish it was a little more customization like the Corsair RGB offerings. The problem with the corsair software is it is not a simple interface to use. They(corsair) have done major improvements to their software, but Logitech is on point. The keys themselves feel great. They have a very satisfying click that is not too loud, but does give you positive feedback through sound and touch. The WASD keys have a slightly different texture and let a little more light through than other letter keys. The layout of the keyboard itself is perfect for me. The volume wheel is a nice luxury over other items with a mute button right beside it. If you are looking for a high end keyboard for gaming that is simple to use, you are in the right place.
