No lag, great RGB, great feel
|Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I've been a mechanical keyboard user for several years and was really excited to try the new GL keys from Logitech. The G915 TKL keyboard that I received uses "GL Tactile" keyswitches, which feel somewhat similar to the "Brown" switches from Cherry MX boards. In the past I have used variations of the Blue "Clicky" keys exclusively so this G915 TKL was my first long term experience with the Tactile keys without the audible click. First - out of box experience was excellent with the G915 TKL. Packaging is well designed, fits the keyboard perfectly and was almost entirely cardboard and thus recyclable. There was a plastic sheet wrapped around the keyboard itself. The keyboard itself feels sublime - the aluminum-magnesium upper shell is a great touch and the media keys and keys themselves all feel solid. I do wish the keycaps were higher quality than standard ABS, but I find it hard to deduct a star for this. The media keys are all silicone/rubberized, and the volume roller on the right upper corner is super smooth - there is no tactile response to it. It feels like a really well lubricated drum roller. I like the volume control a lot - it feels much better than the volume nob on my USB Soundblaster G5 so I think I'll be using the keyboard one all the time now. I was already a Logitech user so I had the G Hub software preinstalled. The keyboard was detected instantly when connecting the Lightspeed wireless dongle to my PC, and I was able to quickly set up the lighting to match my now-retired G Pro tenkeyless board. With the wireless capability comes a few extra settings and information for the battery usage. Using center-out lighting at 100% brightness, the keyboard estimates I have 40 hours of battery life. I dropped to 75% brightness and now it's over 68 hours. I actually had to re-type those last two sentences because I thought I was set to 100% at first, when I was set to 75. The RGB lighting is very bright. They keyboard dims itself after 1 minute of inactivity and then shuts off after 5 minutes. I've been sitting at 99% battery despite using the keyboard for about 2 hours gaming last night at 75% brightness. The lighting can also be set up to sample your screen and match the your display for more immersion, and some games will automatically illuminate keys. For example, CS:GO automatically blacks out keys that cannot be used at any given moment. The low profile nature of the G915 led me to make some changes to my desk. With previous keyboards I have used a gel wrist pad with the keyboard tilted at the maximum lift. With the G915 I have retired the wrist pad and just moved the keyboard closer to the edge of my desk. This allows me to keep my wrists straight and lean back a bit in my chair. Not sure whether this is actually more ergonomically sound but it feels good for now so I am going to try it out. Also on the low profile nature, the travel for the keys is slightly less than an MX board, although the activation force is the exact same between the GL keys and the GX blues that were used on my G Pro keyboard. The travel difference isn't very noticeable to me, but I did add o-rings to my G Pro. O rings are not possible or needed with the GL keys. The GL tactile keys don't bottom out in the way that an MX keycap does so the sound is much quieter even accounting for clicky vs tactile. As far as the wireless capabilities: I have paired my G915 bluetooth to my Chromebook and have the lightspeed dongle plugged into my KVM switch between my work laptop and gaming rig. Having the ability to quickly switch to my chromebook is a blessing as it allows me to make use of a 3rd display off the VPN without reaching for the KVM switch on my desk. I am looking forward to traveling again as business gets back to 'normal' and I think the G915 might be a good traveling companion. Being low profile it fits easily in my bag and it has a slot in the underside of the keyboard to stow the dongle when not in use. I really enjoy the GL Tactile G915 TKL and I'm happy to have made the switch to the GL low profile switches :). My desk looks much cleaner with one less wire and without the wrist pad. This was just a really solid keyboard that I'm happy to use.

Impressive!
|Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This is an impressive product - even the packaging! Keyboard is compact, sturdy, made from what looks like brushed aluminum (it might be aluminum!). Connects easily via bluetooth, and wireless, but also includes a cord for rapid charging and can be used while charging. Charges quickly and has a long battery life. Even at 38% it still estimates battery life at 15 hours. Keyboard includes a roller volume control which is a great feature - no more fumbling for the right key to increase the volume. Also has the ability to disable certain keys in game mode. Changing colors is really cool, it has multiple options for colors and patterns, but also has the ability to turn off these features. It also has the ability to choose certain colors for certain keys. Overall a quality product and I highly recommend it!

could be better
||Posted . Owned for less than 1 week when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.as a pure gamer this keyboard isn't worth the price so i returned mine for a full refund but if you do more work/typing i guess it could be worth it?. Logitech missed too many key features that could of made this keyboard worth the price.... for a $230 keyboard i would of at least expected it to have usb type c connection but nope.

has issues only a month and a half of use
||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.i bought this because i loved the idea of a fast wireless keyboard. the original g915 wasn't a tkl so seeing this was an instant purchase. unfortunately this product is already having issues after a month of half of use as the W key tends to double press when i hit it. it's inconsistent, but happens just enough to where it's a problem. very disappointing, currently trying to get help through logitech but i'm considering maybe selling it for parts at this point. so much good, but the product i purchase is defective and unusable with the issue it has

Beautiful Slim Design, Portable and Comfortable
|Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Pros - Size: Removing the number pad on the side makes this keyboard much easier and comfortable to use. If you wanted to use it in your lap, you can, or leave plenty of room to the right for mouse movement when gaming, you can do that too. I’ve been keeping it in my lap when browsing the web and consuming media. I can lean the chair back a bit and just be comfortable. - Typing: Typing on this keyboard is very comfortable. The body itself is low profile. If you type like I do, I usually rest my palms on my desk. I’ve been typing from my lap since I’ve gotten this and notice the strain is not as bad on my wrists as I can wrest my arms on my arm rests and hold my hands above the keys. The GL Tactile switches are very responsive. If you don’t like the loud clicky sound you get from mechanical switches, the tactile switches are a bit more muffled. - Customization: If you like having custom keys, macros, or RGB, you got it. I used the G-Hub app on windows and tinkered with the RGB. I have a alternating rainbow scheme for my ram and water block. I just grabbed the preset rainbow, tweaked the speed, and that worked for me. I did see where you can adjust keys individually. I didn’t dig any deeper than static colors on single key customization. Still on the topic of customization, the custom M1-M3 keys use the function keys to run macros. I almost always have a macro for my email, discord, and steam and whatever game I’m playing at the time, just a quick way to get started. - Gaming: No issues here. Gaming mode (also customizable) will disable keys you don’t want to accidently press. I didn’t think having the extra room for the mouse would make a difference but giving myself a wider range to work with lets me turn down the DPI some for more precise tracking. I even angle the keyboard a bit just so some keys are more ergonomic to hit. I’m not playing competitive or traying to snag a leaderboard, but it doesn’t seem like there’s any noticeable lag that would affect that level of gameplay. - Rapid Fire: The brushed aluminum is very nice and I really enjoy this look. The RGB is very bright and you get 4 different brightness levels, not including off. The volume wheel has a very smooth attenuation. The essential media control keys are there, including a dedicated mute button. Battery life seems to be very good. After a full charge I had over 100 hours of use time. You have two different height settings on the fold out feet. Storage space for the USB dongle on the bottom of the keyboard (surprising for the very slim profile). Finally, the box includes a nice braided cable, usb adapter for the light speed dongle, and a quick start guide. Cons - Wish it would have included USB Type C charge port instead of micro b. - I would have liked to use my power play mouse pad to connect the keyboard as well (free up usb port), instead of the included dongle. Final Thoughts Having the wireless mouse and keyboard makes for a very clean looking desk. I’m really happy with the G915 and look forward to the years of gaming ahead with it.

Excellent for any use
|Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This is an awesome, multi-funtioncal, keyboard. It is responsive enough to be a solid gaming keyboard, but the tactile switches are subdued enough to make it work well as an every day or work-from-home keyboard as well. The wirless is perfectly responsive (and has an option to swap to bluetooth too), the rbg customization and media functions are great, the battery life is long, and the build quality is SOLID. One thing I wish it had was an option for slightly more raised angle. All in all this is a GREAT option for anyone who is looking for a sleek, multi-functional, high quality TKL keyboard.

Overpriced
||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This keyboard is so overpriced. Overall quality is okay, but it does not type like a mechanical keyboard should. I am returning mine and would not recommend it to anyone who is used to a "real" mechanical keyboard.

Posted .Hi brad, sorry to see you were unsatisfied with your G915 TKL keyboard. You may not like the feel when you type because of the new GL key switches. They keys are a much lower profile than traditional key switches to make it easier to type and use while gaming for instance. We do have other options with the standard keys like the G513 and the G910. Hope that helps

Posted .Hello, phamthenamx! I'm sorry to hear about your experience with the G915 TKL keyboard! I would first recommend making sure that the Lightspeed button, the first button at the top of the keyboard (it looks like a WiFi symbol with a lightning bolt through it), is selected. Otherwise, it will not connect. If you have already done this or this doesn't work, I would then recommend plugging you G915 TKL into your computer via the Micro-USB cable and seeing if there's a firmware update available in G Hub. If you've already tried these, or they don't work, I would recommend reaching out to our support team here https://support.logi.com/hc/en-us/requests/new?ticket_form_id=360000621393 to file a warranty claim. The G915 TKL has a 2-year limited hardware warranty. Thank you for the feedback! I will be passing this along. - Maggie from Logitech G
