This is the first Racing Sim wheel and pedals I have used, so this is coming from a true novice perspective. Boy, I didn’t know what I was missing! First thing you notice about the G923 is how well built everything seems, the wheel and the pedals have the right “heft“ to them and just convey an overall great build quality. The whole wheel assembly and pedals also just look pretty cool in my opinion. I have a sports car and was looking for something to fill that void on those long winter days when driving a fun car just isn’t feasible, this just might fit the bill. Clamping the wheel down and the system to hold the pedals in place work really well and I had no issues with movement etc during game play. As I wanted to truly get the best results from the TrueForce features, I played GRID. There are only a few games that support this new TrueForce feature but that should change in the near future with the subsequent release of new games or updates to take advantage of this. All I can say is WOW! The sense of realism the G923 setup brings to racing games is spectacular, the way the wheel feels and responds and the pedal feel etc truly add to the enjoyment of racing sims in my opinion. Maybe I’m not jaded as this is my first experience with this type of setup but I will tell you, the fun factor is kicked up a notch when using the G923. While it is a bit pricey, in my opinion its well worth the increase in enjoyment it brings.

Hi, I'm sorry that you experienced difficulty with the G923 Racing wheel working with Forza 7 on PC. When using the G923 with PC the PC needs to have Windows® 10, 150 MB of available hard disk space, and USB 2.0 port. If you continue to have difficulties with the device working please visit https://support.logi.com/hc/en-us/articles/360052210874 for additional information. Thank you for being a Logitech customer. Nice quality, but issues with Forza Horizon 4

We were eager to try out the Logitech G923 since we already owned the Logitech G920. It seems our excitement was a bit premature. Forza’s website for the G923 lists all currently compatible games and Forza Horizon 4 is one of them. Our efforts to try out the game were fruitless as it just would not work. After inquiring with Logitech we were asked to confirm if the assignments were blank. In fact, they were blank, so we proceeded to follow their instructions to go to the keyboard/controller tab, select Don’t Save (not yes or cancel) and then go back to the wheel tab. Once you do this you are able to manually input each assignment to the corresponding function on the wheel. Logitech’s GHub gaming software for PC does allow button customization, adjustment of wheel sensitivity and force feedback levels. On-wheel game controls are built in to the steering wheel for Xbox One and PS4. This did allow us to play Forza Horizon 4, but something just doesn’t feel right compared to our same experience with this game using the G920. The driving experience felt very loose compared to the G920 and at times felt very jerky. Also, we tried verifying options in the GHub software to ensure that the centering spring in non-force feedback games was checked and that apply settings from game was checked (even tried it unchecked for grins). It still left us feeling like the game was unusable since a slight turn of the wheel caused the game to force you that direction as the wheel would not go back to center. When we connected our previous model G920 no such problems existed and the racing wheel and game were automatically compatible, the wheel went back to center and worked just as it should. The primary feature one gains with the G923 over the G920 is TrueForce which connects directly to the game engines through integration with a game’s physics and audio engines. This more realist feedback sounds interesting if one can feel the engine rev or changes in the road surface/grip of the tires. Given that we don’t own a game that is currently compatible with TrueForce we were unable to try out this feature. As game developers integrate with Logitech to support TrueForce it will certainly make this particular model more appealing. Some games will also support a programmable dual clutch for maximum traction. As with many other Logitech products we have owned, the quality is very nice with realistic brushed metal wheel and pedals, and the leather steering wheel has a really nice feel to it. In supported games, there is a built-in rev indicator above the center steering wheel that uses colored LEDs to show the RPM range. One other detail worth noting is that the racing wheel clamps allow for a desk thickness of about 2”. This is something to consider since some desks or folding tables are just too thick to attach the racing wheel to. We think in time we will be able to get more use out of the G923 racing wheel as more compatible games are released. Yet, we are left a bit deflated right now that it just would not work as seamlessly with Forza Horizon 4 as our previous model G920 does. Hopefully Logitech will get to the same out of the box, game ready experience with the G923. At this time, we would stick with our G920 due to game compatibility and price differential.

This Logitech steering wheel is awesome! I didn't do a lot of looking into it before I got it but I figured it would be something fun for me and the boys to play around with while we are fairly isolated at home. The steering wheel itself has little adjustable hook style clamps to lock onto the edge of a desk, I didn't really have anything that wasn't too thick for them so I picked up an inexpensive party table to use this with. The pedal board also has a little spike strip that you can flip down to avoid it sliding on carpet or rug during use. The steering wheel uses an external power source and USB to communicate to the console, I wasn't really expecting it to have a little motor in it, it was cool to see it spin itself once plugged in. Main racing games I got at this point is Forza, but I really enjoy the arcade style over SIM, so I popped into Forza Horizon 4 and got straight to cruising really quickly. It's a lot of fun to drive around with this wheel, it took a minute to adjust since I have really only played with a controller up until now. The Trueforce feedback is really cool, when driving around you feel the wheel jolting with feedback from the terrain or colliding into an obstacle. You can let it go and spin about, or you can try to control the wheel and do an awesome drift, for me and this point is was mostly losing control and going into a spin haha. Getting a little hang of it now though and really enjoying this steering wheel, and looking forward to using it more. The boys are still not used to it, but they don't have the feel for these sort of games yet, more of a specific Kart racing game. Even though they blame the "engine" for their driving, it's hard to get them to stop playing so that I can drive around some more. All and all I love this wheel, I am going to get in the habit of using this with every compatible racing game, plus the support with the Xbox Series X means I will definitely try this out with the new Forza game as soon as I have the opportunity, this wheel gets me excited to jump on racing games, giving them a good level of immersion with the Trueforce tech!

This is my first racing wheel I've had. The build quality of the wheel is excellent. It actually does feel like a racing wheel. For this review I played F1 2020 as well as Forza Horizon 4. I enjoyed the F1 game much more as driving without wiping out was much easier. There's definitely a learning curve with this racing wheel. The pedals feel good, although i do wish they were spaced apart a bit more. The haptic feedback (rumble) is really immersive but also very loose. My 5 year old really enjoyed watching me struggle around turns using this thing. Overall though I enjoy it quite a bit. You will want to invest in/build some kind of a rig for this. You will need to attach this to a desk top of some sort. Luckily it includes mounting clamps on the bottom, but it's still kind of an experience to just sit comfortably with the steering wheel and pedals without mounting them. The pedals are a little awkward but if mounted properly will provide a much better experience. Overall I like this product alot. I think for people that are really into racing sims they will really get their money's worth out of it. I've only docked this review one star due to the length of the USB cable that goes to the xbox is too short as well as the spacing for the pedals. Great product overall though.

So much potential, but stopped halfway.

I bought this G923 and ended up returning it a few hours later, and this is why. First, I got home and opened the box, started taking the contents out and the steering wheel module already had a rattling piece of plastic inside, which was a huge disappointment even before giving it a go. The setup is really fast as it's mostly plugged and play, and with the G-Hub app already installed on my computer it was easy to customize each key etc. I used it on PC, tried it with Assetto Corsa, Assetto Corsa Competizione, dirt 2.0, Dirt4, F1 2018 so I gave it a fair trial with multiple games. I'm going to split my review with pros and cons. Pros: - It's a very affordable setup in comparison to the bigger brands, so if you want to get started with Sim racing I would say this is your solution but don't expect amazing, the fact that you can snag one at your local best buy is a plus comparing it to the competition. - G-Hub app makes key binding very easy and fast, plenty to customize (if you're playing on PC) - Not bulky as some units, with a decent build quality for the price and ease of set up/removal if you have to secure it to a PC desk. Cons: - The wheel is very small, - The True force is nothing but capturing the sound frequency of the engine of the car, translating it into some weird and unusual feel on the steering wheel. At one point I muted the sound of the speaker to hear how loud the feedback motor was and I could hear the engine revving up/down through the steering wheel, I am not a fan of that. - The pedals are not the worst, but the brake pedal does not come with any sort of adjusting, nor does it have a feedback feature as some other pedals would do. This is a deal-breaker, as you're missing half the "feedback" of the experience (why not add that to the brake pedal? it's just a tiny rumble motor that attaches inside the cylinder.. the wheel has it, why stop halfway?) - THE CLUNKING THIS THING MAKES IS INSANELY LOUD AND ANNOYING!! My wheel came defective as noted above, I thought that was the issue attributed to the rattling but upon searching on youtube before walking into my local BestBuy, I saw many video reviews, with a lot of people on the comment section also describing the same "rattling/clunk" issues. All in all, this is more for a kid under 15 years old to enjoy from time to time, but this is not a good choice if you want to experience sim-racing at a budget, I recommend staying away from it if that's your expectations. Sure, maybe I was expecting a lot more from this but there are far better options considering that for about $500 more you can get a decent (not the best) direct drive set up.

These racing wheels have come a long way since I was a kid. I remember when force feedback wheels first came out and how cheap they felt. This G923 is light years beyond those old wheels. The leather wrap feels very nice and provides good grip. The buttons feel nice and clicky. I was surprised how much feedback the wheel provides, it is quite strong and even feels varied based on the surface you are driving on in the game. I mostly tested it with Forza Horizon 4 on Xbox and it was simply plug and play. I throughly enjoyed playing a racing game for the first time in a long time. The pedals feel pretty nice as well. The brake pedal is a progressive spring and mimics pedal pressure well. If you have the room for a wheel and pedal setup I highly recommend this set to up the ante for your racing games.

Having owned Logitech wheels all the way back to the Momo, this is a fine additional to their driving wheel series. I've used it with multiple racing sims and has a better feel than previous hardware versions. The Force Feedback (FFB) gives a more solid feel than previously available and they've added a few new items to this offering. Their new technology, TrueForce, provides a more realistic feel of the vehicle and the FFB seems less jerky than before. This has made the FFB a bit more realistic with the feel of whatever the vehicle is riding on (tarmack, grass, dirt, etc.) and provides a better feel in my hands. Logitech has also added a Dual Clutch capability to provide help with launching on gridded starts. It is fairly simple to set up and works quite well once it is set up properly.

At first it took a while to get used to the actual force feedback. But wow I noticed I started crashing less and driving better racing lines. The 3 pedals have different levels of resistance. Which I was not expecting. Since I work on cars for a living and have driven many 3 pedal vehicle if felt weird actually shifting using the brake and gas quickly as you tried to balance everything. The pedal don't slide around much but the steering wheel will give you a work out. I used this on my Xbox one X playing forza 7. Played drag racing and circuit racing. All I can say is wow so much more fun that using a controller. Be warned that it is very addictive and can cause lots of time to go by playing and you may get a workout. I found after doing a few races sweating a little from the workout.

First impression of the kit is that it is HEAVY. You definitely feel like you are getting your money’s worth in the heft of the product. Logitech makes quality products, and this is no exception. The wheel feels great in your hands. The grip material, the hint of blue, the buttons on the control, all make it great to look upon. It’s a sharp product. It even has new car smell to go with the car grill detail that it has on the front of the unit. The unit is simple to set up. It comes with a small brochure showing you how to connect it. One note here is that there is a web site included with the materials that would not come up for me. I’m not sure if it’s a bad address or something yet to be set up. I had to go to Logitech’s site to find the product information. The only download available is the User’s Manual. I first tried to use the wheel with a gaming laptop. I wanted to use it to play NASCAR 4 on Steam. However, we couldn’t get it to work at all. Because there were no downloadable drivers, I couldn’t figure out why the game wasn’t responding to the wheel controls. I then ordered NASCAR 4 for Xbox One to see how it would respond there. The wheel worked seamlessly with the Xbox One. The kit is two main parts – the wheel and the pedals. The wheel clamps to the table and the pedals sit on our carpet. The challenge I faced here was that the units kept moving on me. The wheel would shake during use (more on that later) and then fall off the table. The table I have was a small adjustable table I use for laptops, with a smooth laminate top that is close to 1” thick. I clamped the unit as tightly as possible, but it still would slide off. I would recommend some sort of gripping material on the edge of the clamps to improve the hold. The pedals also would slide on me. I drove with the pedal pushed to the floor and then would notice that, as I pressed down, the unit would move, and I would periodically have to adjust the unit back into place. Now, as far as the game play…it was AWESOME. Trying to play a driving game using a controller loses something in translation. This felt like I was actually driving vs. just playing a game. Just for fun, I would crash into walls and other cars to see how it would react. The wheel would shake and shimmy in response to the impact (then it would move, and I’d have to re-clamp it onto the table). The wheel moved smoothly and responded well; the pedals felt natural. I had a ball. You can fine tune the wheel in seemingly unlimited configurations. The game had several levels to drive in, which all had some preset options. You could customize your wheel to your liking within those levels. I don’t see how you could ever get bored using this kit. I am extremely happy with this product. I recommend this to anyone.

Well designed wheel, No UWP/PC Game Pass Support

Was super excited to get my hands on this wheel. The wheel was packed very nicely in the box and came with some good instructions on getting it setup. It's of a very high construction quality as it feels nice and rigid but comfortable to hold. Setup was a breeze! However, I wanted to primarily play on my PC, and that's where things went sideways. I have a Windows 10 PC and I pay for Xbox Game Pass on my PC which affords me access to several racing games. I eagerly installed them all and tried to use the G Hub to configure the wheel for the game...no dice! I loaded the games and they saw the wheel was connected, but had no config for it. I poured over some forum posts trying to figure out what was going on only to discover that G Hub is incapable of seeing through the hidden folders and security associated with Windows UWP apps...meaning anything from the Windows Store or Game Pass. I noted that this was an ongoing problem for many years with all manner of devices from Logitech. One would have thought that they could have worked out some arrangement with Microsoft to get the G Hub to be able to read those game folders and apply the configs. I'm sure if I was using Steam or just a straight base install it would have been fine. But my dreams of racing on my PC were done. We switched it over to the Xbox One and it played quite well. The force feedback was strong and really improved the feel and experience of racing. I'd say the only concern here with Xbox gaming would be with regards to your setup and location. The only place we could really test it was in my son's room where the xbox is quite close to a surface we could mount the wheel to. Otherwise you're just out of luck because there is no playing with this on the floor or lap. So if your xbox is too far away from you or you don't have a nice solid flat surface to mount it you'll be out of luck. Overall it's a great wheel that still needs driver/software help to be functional. I wish Logitech would have sorted this considering it's such a costly device. I wouldn't recommend it to anyone at this time due to these concerns.

    Great entry level Simulator wheel

I was sent this wheel for review by Logitech. Construction seems pretty much the same as the previous G920 and G29 wheel, however, it is different in that it has different processors to handle the Trueforce functionality One of the major downfalls I found it the stiffness of the brake pedal. If there was a way to make that one spring adjustable that would be awesome. My primary use for it is with my PC. At first, I thought it was just plug and play, as is the case with most controllers or mice and other USB devices. You will actually need to visit Logitech's website to download their G Hub software. Once I figure that out the first game/sim that I used it with was American Truck Simulator. Coming from using a controller to use racing/sim games it was a pleasant surprise how much easier it is using a wheel. It works well for American Truck Simulator, not great just good, maybe because it is not 100% compatible with the game. Using it with the Gforce Driving Force Shifter was a chore. The only game I have that seemed to work seamlessly with the wheel/pedals and shifter was Dirt 3. Assetto Corsa worked well however no shifter support as of yet. In the setup menus, the shifter was not recognized but was recognized in G Hub, odd. The most recent game that I tried it on was Assetto Corsa Competizione. This game is where the Trueforce shined, It was very easy to feel everything that was going on with the road. Some cars are capable of hitting speeds up to 160mph in the straights. This wheel made that game/sim and pleasurable experience, to say the least. Is it worth the sticker price? Well, there are only a few games that make use of the full capabilities of the wheel/pedal combo. I'm sure as of the release day there are going to be fixes and firmware updates as well as more games that will adapt to this newer technology. So for right now, not really. Don't get me wrong if you want to future proof your driving games get it. I just don't think it warrants the current price of $399.99, but it may in the future. I for one really like it, even though it is not 100% functional in the games I currently own., with the exception of Assetto Corsa Competizione.

The controls are so precise. Make sure you get the right version for your system as they are named the same but two different versions. Ps5/pc has one as does the Xbox/pc. They both work for pc but not for each others consoles. Just a heads up other then that it works flawlessly.
