Price Was Good..Quality, Not So Much

Owned for 3 months when reviewed.This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I purchased this Logitech G923 Racing Wheel & Pedals for Xbox Series as a birthday present for my son. He was very excited to receive it & set it up. A few days later, my son related to me that a cable had a cut in it and it eventually disrupted the function of the device. We both were disappointed, but Bestbuy, true to its policy & customers' satisfaction, accepted the return without issues, and a refund was promptly posted to my Bestbuy charge card. If the Device had not been faulty, it certainly would have received 5 stars, but I understand that it's common during mass productions, some items may not receive the full quality control inspections & ends up with less satisfactory reviews from those who end up buying them. My son reported that in the few days that the wheel & pedals functioned properly, it made his car-racing gaming experience on his Xbox very enjoyable, so please do not be discouraged by this review. Just examine the product well once you receive it, use it often during the return period to find out flaws or defects, if any.

I get it home and after it's all set up the games I've been playing don't recognize the wheel. Forza Motorsport 7 doesn't work. Assetto Cora does recognize the wheel but it has to be mapped. Not knowing it's specific to some games I went through this long troubleshooting process. Come to find out after the drivers were removed to start over from scratch, neither I nor Windows can find them again. Not only that but the support link on the single sheet setup paper doesn't exist. The support page that does exist has practically nothing to offer but the pdf setup guide. I spent a few hours looking at emulators and Logitech software suites, it still doesn't work right and now I'm frustrated. Out of the box it doesn't work completely. If I can't fix it tomorrow it's going back.
