Just an all around bad experience
|Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. What a disaster. Uggh. I normally love Logitech products but there are so many issues here. Logitech clearly states this is compatible with Xbox One but this simply is not – at least not as you would expect. So this is what happened : - I charge up the headset per the instructions. - I switch the headset wireless switch to off per the instructions. - I plug in the headset via the 3.5 mm and check my Xbox One audio out settings. Everything is as it should. - I get sound in one ear and the boom mic does not work. - No matter what I do , I cannot get the sound to be in stereo not get the mic to work in chat mode. - I contact Logitech for technical support per their letter they included in the headset I am to review. - I do not hear back from them so I reach out the Bestbuy insider network ( for a second time, I let them know I was having issues.) - Bestbuy reaches out to Logitech. - A few days later I hear back from Logitech. - In the time when I first tried to get the headset to work and while waiting for Logitech to respond, I looked over their website and instructions . - Logitech states to go to www.logitech.com/support/g935. That does not take you to the G935 support, it brings you to the general support page. Then you have to search for it. Logitech, check your links before you send out product info. - The instructions state that you may need an Xbox One Stereo headset adapter. That is probably why I having the issue. But guess what? Microsoft discontinued the adapter last year. - I did sign up to their support page and register the product. I went to sign back in but forgot my password so I reset my password. However, the reset link that was supposed to get in my email did not arrive . - Their website does not work with Chrome on the Mac, I had to use Safari. - Logitech did respond and this is what they actually communicated to me "To help you I would like to ask if you have tried any fix on your own? Here are some troubleshooting steps for this issue. If you have tried it skip the step. 1. Unplug / re-plug the USB cable 2. Try other USB 2.0 port on your computer 3. Increase the volume of the headset. 4. Try using it with and without the Logitech G HUB 5. Uninstall/reinstall Logitech G HUB https://support.logitech.com/en_za/product/g935-wireless-7-1-surround-sound-lightsync-gaming-headset/getting-started 6. Try using the 3.5 mm analogue jack 7. Try a different computer or audio source “ That is their email verbatim. The first question they ask is if I tried to fix it on my own. Are they kidding? Increase the volume? What, really? The rest of the email is canned , scripted responses and clearly they did not even read my email. As of this moment, I still cannot get the headset to work. I’m not going to back and forth with a tech support rep if my initial inquiry is not properly looked at and thinks telling to increase the volume is helpful. Even putting that aside, is Logitech serious marketing a product to work with an Xbox One but you it requires additional purchases for an item that is no longer made ( the Xbox Stereo headset adapter.) Take a look yourself, it’s discontinued everywhere including Bestbuy and it is not on Xbox.com under accessories. This was one error after another. This should not be marketed to be compatible with Xbox One and Logitech should really do a better job of vetting their product before it comes to market. I’ve always been a fan of Logitech but the lack of product support and accuracy is inexcusable.

50mm Pro-G Failure.
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. All the hype about the G935 Pro-G 50mm driver and is not even near the hype! the sound stage is low, Bass is weak and the so-called "7.1 Surround Sound" is a joke! I don't know if is the software or the headsets? I tried everything thinking it was my gaming PC, but no! it's the weak G935! I use my old G933 on my laptop and the ((WoW!)) factor surround sound is there. Trust me, go buy the G933 instead, they are $50.00 cheaper and the "7.1 Surround Sound" plus the heavy Bass sound are way better compared to the G935. Logitech is such a great brand, I'm so disappointed.

Nice design, poor quality
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. The design is very sleek i love how the receiver fits into the ear cup. The problem is the quality control is terrible at logitech. The right side audio had been spotty from about 2 months after buying them and it recently cut out entirely. Logitechs customer service is also not great. Ill avoid them in the future but the g305 is amazing.

Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.sound quality is fine mic quality is as expected. however a month after i had an issue with the tilt mic not un muting. Best Buy return is only 15 days so no help. Logitech will replace them and promised me to replace them with in a few WEEKS. so im out $129ish and no immediate solution. best buy won't refund or replace because I didn't give them more money for a protection plan.

KNOWN DESIGN FLAW
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.WARNING: THIS DEVICE HAS A KNOWN DESIGN FLAW. This is a product with great capabilities, no doubt. Unfortunately, the manufacturing quality is low enough that there are major issues with the power switch. I have been through multiple pairs of these headsets and from what I've read, so have many others. That is: The powerswitch ceases to work properly and audio channels fail to turn on. Almost every review reads the same: failure after 1 year's use. I've had this same experience twice. One lemon I can understand. Two is indicative of major, widespread problems with this device, and the plethora of reviewers with the same issue only backs up that claim. I own a number of Logitech products and the G935 is the only one where I've had consistent issues.

Wirelessish
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. So after tax and a protection plan I paid just over $200 for this headset only to get home and find out the wireless portion of the headphones only works on PC if you want to use it in Xbox or Playstation you have to plug it into a 3.5mm headphone jack. The earcups hold in a lot of hear and the headset it pretty heavy. I haven't tested the battery life as of yet but even according to logitechs best estimate it's pretty subpar without lighting they estimate 12 hours of use where my last headset(which did function wirelessly on console and pc) lasted around 23 hours on a single charge. The sound quality on Xbox seems to suffer compared to the quality on PC and the mic sits at an awkward angle is not fully adjustable and I have already received feedback from multiple people telling me I am quiet and slightly muffled. The charging cord it came with seems good quality but the 3.5mm audio cable is pretty disappointing. The packaging was adequate. Mostly I'm disappointed with the advertising which failed to get across the point that it is only wireless on PC which I believe to be intentionally misleading.

NOT WORTH THE MONEY
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Hello. I am the owner of Logitech and use to believe in this brand. Is sounds good as "gaming " good looking set ( i have mouse and keyboard unfortunately. So first year headset was good if you can say so. the biggest problem on this unit was battery . It may tell you you have 14 hours and it is die in 6- 7 . Sad. Also it did not go sleep as should if music do not play for 15 min ( you can change that time ). Upgrade soft , downgrade- same thing. so the best way if you do not use it - turn off manually with button on top. but in 2 years( I am adult and play about once -2 times a week ) the power on button start giving problems(noise) in sound until you physically move power on button to the sides) . Sure thing Logitech use to be best warranty but they won't cover it ( out of time warranty ) . Sure think you do not know in right away . So my suggestion buy other brands like Bose or CORSAIR. best of luck to you .

Posted .Hello, YinnaleeHuh! I'm sorry to hear about your experience with the G935 headset! Since you've tried the basic troubleshooting options, I would recommend also checking to see if the G935 needs a firmware update in the Logitech G Hub software or if your computer's audio drivers need an update. If neither of these options work, I would then recommend reaching out to our support team here https://support.logi.com/hc/en-us/requests/new?ticket_form_id=360000621393 to file a warranty claim or speak with a support specialist. The G935 has a 2-year limited hardware warranty. - Maggie from Logitech G

Do not buy any logitech headsets!
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Ive owned 3 pairs of logitech headsets and the mics have gone out in all 3. Terrible build quality. The wire will eventually become damaged and break off internally if flipped up and down. If you purchase this, keep the mic down.

Good Audio Bad Tech

Not great
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. They sound ok, when they work. Every time I power them on I have to jiggle the power switch for them to actual power on and then jiggle it some more to get audio from both sides. If I'm lucky the microphone will work, if not then I have to power cycle the headset and repeat the process. I was able to get a warranty replacement and am having the exact same issues with the replacement headset.

Will never buy Logitech again!!!
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. My girlfriends 14 year old sons headset dongle was broken while going through airport security. I contacted Logitech to purchase a new one. They informed me I had to file a warranty claim. I did so and it was denied due to how it was broken. I called them up and said I wanted to buy one and I understand the warranty would not cover it. They refused to sell me one!!! How do I get another dongle when you don't make them available for purchase and won't replace it under warranty?? I will never buy Logitech again, and neither will my girlfriend. Terrible customer support!
