I use them for work and the noise reduction is so great, it makes the sounds amazing. I have to turn the volume down to 25 because the person on the other side is that loud. When I was using cheaper earbuds, some of the birdsongs, such as Great Horned Owl, were inaudible regardless of volume. But they are easily heard on these headphones. I also used the microphone for Spanish pronunciation practice and it worked great for that purpose.
