My speaker system on my laptop isn't great, and I've been using this new set for about a month with limited difficulty. I will say, though, that sometimes my mic really picks up my typing to the point where it is distracting for the other person. This is mostly an issue when using Skype, since Skype lowers the volume of the other person when it interprets my typing as me speaking.
