This occurred in my case two months after the purchase. Removing the driver and re-installing it caused the microphone to be recognized again, only to be not functional a few days later. The drivers are all up to date. According to online forum, this seems to be a common issue with the H390 headset. The speakers in the headphone continue to work. Due to the microphone issues I do not recommend this headset.

Mainly got last minute because I needed hardwired headsets. But they are stiff and not comfortable in any sense. I allow my kids to use them for gaming now as I upgraded headsets. I wouldn't recommend them for anyone working long hours remote. Spend the extra money on something nicer.
