I needed this for both music/sound attenuation at work, and Skype conferencing. Works great on mac and linux. Plugged it in, automagically recognized, sound quality was better than I ever hoped.

I purchased this headset for teleconferences and extended web-based training sessions. The sound quality and microphone were excellent, but my ears got uncomfortably hot after about 60min. I will continue to use them for shorter sessions, but prefer a USB speakerphone.

I needed a better headset for Skype calls for work. This one is comfortable and has the mute button on the ear and a visible light on the wire so you can see that you are muted.
