The old ones you could hear vehicles going by on the road, and so far have not had that issue with these.

My laptop mic was cutting out. Only beef is that after about six weeks there is a slight rattle in the left side like something is loose.

The volume and mute buttons are on the earpiece instead of the cord--no accidentally muting /unmuting yourself. I bought one for home and another work. Very satisfied.

The only nitpick for me is the mic, it's on the right side and I usually wear the mic on the left but that's a small price to pay for a quality headset.

Comparing these to competitors products, these are just as good. After wearing for a couple hours, these really start to hurt my ears. This is a problem I have with most headphones since my head is so small so I would not suggest these for a female. Great sound quality, takes no effort to install, easy to use.

Good Headset for Teleconferncing

I work in my basement next to the furnace and it doesn't pick up the sound when the furnace blasts on (I tested it). My only complaint is that for me personally, the on-ear begins to hurt my ears before the end of an hour-long teleconference. I reposition them a few times during the meeting and can get through it fine. I like the headset well enough that I'm going to keep it. And I'm not taking away any stars because it's not a reflection on the quality of the headset.
