Faulty Mute Light ruins the product value

There is no way to determine if the headset is muted without talking and seeing if people can hear you. Will have to get a new headset soon as I can't use for business calls without knowing when the headset is muted or not.

Great basic headset

Not long lasting

Within a few months the red light that turned on which indicated that the microphone was muted, stopped working. Then less than a year the headphones themselves stopped working. I'd be teaching a class and all of a sudden I the volume would now be coming from my MacBook instead of the headphones. At first I thought it was my computer or program I was teaching from, but nope. Using my other earphones worked just fine, so these headphones were the problem.
