    Cheap and not much else

They're inexpensive, sound OK, and are easy to use. They're not super comfortable to wear for a long time, and when the room I am playing in gets hot they will make a pop sound and stop working until I unplug and re-plug them in. Probably better to pay a little extra and get something nicer!

Hi, we're sorry to see you're not completely satisfied with your H540 USB Headset. This headset is designed to be used for all of your computing needs for work. But if you're wanting to use them for computer gaming, we recommend using something else like the G432 or the G733 Gaming Headsets! These will not only be super comfortable when wearing for longer play sessions, but can also be used for video and conference calls with crystal clear sound!

Good headphones for the price. If you're looking for basic corded headphones with a mic and decent padding on the ear pieces, look no further.

    Does not work with USB3

Logitech products are usually great. But this one will disappoint anyone with a modern PC or laptop that has only USB3 ports. I have purchased two separate H540 headsets and tried them both on two separate computers. On one computer I received a message that the unit was defective; on the second computer I received the message indicating that a proper driver could not be found. Researching this matter on the Internet, I found that hundreds of people have reported the same problem to Logitech and on community chat sites. Logitech appears to blame Microsoft for this fiasco, since headset drivers appear to be within Microsoft's jurisdiction, and they have refused to create drivers. I think the least they could do is put a warning label on the box since anyone purchasing a USB product today would expect that it would be compatible with a USB3 port – the current standard – as well as legacy USB ports. Fortunately, one of my computers does have a USB2 port, and the H540 works perfectly on that port. This experience has shaken my confidence in what I had perceived to be a top company.

I bought these headphones anticipating the same quality or better as my older model of headphones. Unfortunately, whenever I use them, I have to unplug them and plug them back in in order for the microphone to work. If I don't do that, it's like the mic gets cut out and nobody can hear me. If I switch to a different program on my computer before using them, the mic cuts off.

This headset is horrible - it really hurts to wear it - ears are sore within a very sort time. The microphone is terrible and works at about 40% - -- the controls are on the outside of the one ear piece so it is easy to hit the mute and not know it when putting them on and taking them off . I am returning - biggest complaint is there is very little padding - if any on the earpieces. Should be the first part of R & D in a headset.... right? I called Logitech but customer service does not understand English and wrote up my complaint as "no pads on the earphone to make it software" -- what??? Logitech should stick to mice and keyboards --

So, I've gone through 4 of these headphones in the past 3 years working from home (same exact model). These headphones are good at first but each time the mute button goes out within 1-2 months of use and the quality decreases. Overall, it's "ok" if you are desperate but they are really not worth the money. Spend the extra cash and get something that will last.
