Hello, I am sorry to hear about these issues you are having, lets try to solve them! The charging cord is a regular USB cord, you may purchase a longer one. As far as hearing it could be a few things, please make sure you are within the bluetooth range of this headset (40FT) and also make sure the mic is fully down. This headset has a flip to mute mic. I hope this helps!

    Great for Work

I love these headphones so far! I actually bought these and the Jabra Elite 45h to compare, and surprisingly I preferred this pair. I tested both, and while the Jabra did have better sound, features, and sound proof quality, they just didn't fit me right and would slide off. The Logitech just felt so much more comfortable to me. I also tested the mic quality, and I was told the Logitech sounded better when speaking. Maybe for just listening to music and gaming would the Jabra be better, but for work the Logitech won over for me. Charging isn't so bad, either. I bought a USB port to include with it, and it gives me more length to use when plugged in as well.

Great sound and very comfortable. I prefer the mute button on the model beneath this one, but with the larger ear pads and more padding on the top band, I'll take it!

I purchased this headset to use with my Dragon NaturallySpeaking 12.5.it is fantastic.. The sound quality and sensitivity of the microphone performed beyond my expectations. I had previously purchased expensive headsets made by Plantronics and Sennheiser (between $150-$250 range). None have worked better than this one. Another feature that I love is that you can easily switch between Bluetooth devices and the computer. This way, I can use the headset to dictate in other languages using my iPad. The battery life is a little bit weak but acceptable. You can go for several hours on one charge with no problem.

I needed some wirelss headphones for an Ipad 2. I had been using wired headphones, but the wires were in the way and I was tethered to the Ipad when listening to music. I had some trouble with the initial synching of the bluetooth to the Ipad. The headphones were not automaticaly recognized by the Ipad via bluetooth, but after reading ALL the instructions, I found the sequence of buttons to push on the headphones to put them in discovery mode -- not an intuitive method and not described on page 1. Once synched, they sounded great -- clear sound - music and movies sound good as well -- good bass sound too. Battery life has been good as well. I don't have a good measure for that yet, but I use them couples hours a day several days a week and I have not replaced the battery for several weeks. Folding mechanism is great, but I am a little concerned with the plastic used and wish they had a hard case for travel. All in all - good product. 4 stars becuase I think they are little expensive - so look for a sale, and they need a hard case for travel.

    Excellent sound quality and comfort

It is very comfortable. With soft cushions for the ears and the top of your head, it does not pinch my ears or cause pain of any type. Lightweight yet durable. Holds a charge for a several hours. It gives a beep to let you know to plug it in. It comes with a long cord and you can use it while charging. The sound quality is excellent, and the noise cancelation works great. The microphone is small and tucks up out of the way when not needed. It is also flexible so you can adjust it if needed. The only thing about this product I would like is to be able to have it set to Bluetooth (so I can use it on my phone) while still having it as an outut device on my computer. 5 stars Fantastic product.

Good headset, documentation could be better

I bought the h800 primarily because I'm sick of wires running everywhere. Because it's Logitech, I figured everything would be easy. My Windows 7 machine saw the headset and correctly identified it, but upon testing there was no sound. After much fussing around, reinstalling drivers and general irritation I visited Logitech's support page and found that the headset needed to be paired with the receiver. This was not mentioned in the documentation at all. After downloading the pairing tool from Logitech everything is working well. I imagine there have been plenty of these headsets returned to stores because a basic step was left out of the documentation.
