Logitech - H800 Wireless Headset - Black
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. There is a software issue that affects the usb headset dongle. If I plug the headset directly to the usb cable everything is fine but if I have theush dongle connected for over 24hrs I have a some apps lock up and I have to reboot. It appears to be a memory issue.

Poor quality for the price
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I went to the store and the associate recommended this headset. I can't use the headset wireless without static or an echo. The cord began to twist which caused a tear in the cord. The wire in the cord began to show.

I would not buy this product again.
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I was disappointed with this product I expected so much more. The headset is ok but usability needs improvement. It is hard to tell when the headset is on mute mode, low battery or why they just don't work.

Lousy sound quality, extremely overpriced

Posted .Hi, I'm sorry that you experienced difficulty with the H800 working with your HP Laptop. The H800 connects with the provided USB receiver or via Bluetooth. Some laptops/desktops will need to have the setting changed so that the default audio and mic are set to the H800. Many times that will fix the problems. Thanks for being a Logitech customer. Good headphones, limited volume and battery
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. These headphones work well for my purposes. Taking incoming customer service calls at home is easy with the built in mic boom, and easy to tuck away when just listening to music or watching a movie. The battery life could use improvement. It doesnt last even half a shift, so it becomes a wired set. Also, for music and movies, the volume is a bit limited for over the ear headphones.

Almost nailed it.
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. The H800 headset is surprisingly light, but that comes at a cost...it made of plastic and feels a little flimsy. It is very comfortable on the head. Pairing for the first time was easy, but for some strange reason, re-connecting to the same bluetooth device was problematic. Ultimately, I had to remove the headset profile, then pair it again. I've also had some issues switching between different bluetooth devices. Those issues aside, the audio quality was much better than I expected from a communications headset. Streaming music to these is a regular activity now, besides the original intended use of this headset for conference calls. I get a bit less than the advertised range with these headphones roughly 20 feet, before audio starts to break up. If the pairing issues didn't exist and the headset felt a little more substantially built, this would certainly be a five star rating.

Posted .Hello, Laurifae! I'm sorry to hear about your experience with the H800 headset! Here are some troubleshooting tips that you can try. Check that the microphone isn't set to mute either on the headset or in the application where you're using it. Make sure you have the H800 headset selected as the audio input/recording device (see your computer or device's documentation for help). Ensure the application you're using is configured to use the headset as its audio input/recording device (see the application's documentation for help). Make sure the receiver is connected to a USB port that isn't behind any large objects (ex. a desk or desktop PC). Connect the headset to a USB port with the charging cable — it may not have enough battery power. If none of these work, I would then recommend reaching out to our support team here https://support.logi.com/hc/en-us/requests/new?ticket_form_id=360000621393 to file a warranty claim. The H800 has a 2-year limited hardware warranty. Thank you so much for this feedback on the H800's microphone! I will be passing this along. - Maggie from Logitech

AWESOME!!!!
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I must admit, I am the kind of person whom, when a new technology first comes out, I am camped out in front of Best Buy for 3 days before the release date so that I can be the first to have it. When Bluetooth technology first came out, I of course ran out and bought the first pair of Bluetooth headphones out there. They sucked, plain & simple. I must say, Bluetooth technology has improved by leaps and bounds in the past 5 or so years, especially in the audio realm. Logitech has hit a home run with the H800. This is yet one more product made by Logitech that I have yet to find a con in. The best feature of the H800 I would have to say is the fact that it is a full featured Bluetooth headset, mic included. When I first took it out of the box, I tried it out with my MacBook. I switched it to Bluetooth connectivity, paired it with my MacBook, and listened to a few songs in iTunes, the sound quality was nothing short of spectacular! The next thing I did was tried out the headsets mic function. I first tried it out with my computers speech function. It clearly hears my commands, and not once did I have to repeat myself when using it for speech to text. The next thing I did to test the mic and the headphones at the same time, was placed an iChat call. The recipient stated that my voice was clear, not garbled, echoed, or distorted in any way, as it sometimes can be with my MacBooks built-in mic. One thing I almost didn't notice, is that I was even wearing headphones. I own a pair of the Motorola Bluetooth headphones that wrap around the ears and behind the head (I use them only for working out and biking). These headphones are EXTREMELY comfortable, something that I have not found common in the Bluetooth headphone world. Thanks to the thick padding on both ears and on the top of the head, you can wear the headphones 18 hours a day and not have a single sore spot. That's definitely a selling point when it comes to headphones, comfort. Another feature of the H800 that I have found absolutely invaluable, is the fact that this headset has both Bluetooth connectivity as well as the Logitech wireless receiver (with on-board storage in one side of the headset) for computers that do not have Bluetooth receivers. This is great when using the headset with my desktop or my Windows laptop that doesn't have Bluetooth on it. This was an amazing design aspect on the part of Logitech!! The on-board storage for the Logitech wireless receiver is really a great feature of the H800. One thing I absolutely cannot stand is having to throw away a perfectly good wireless device because I've lost the receiver. I commute to downtown Chicago for work, that's a long long journey 5-6 days a week, anything can happen between my front door and my office, so the on-board receiver storage with a locking cover is a very important feature for me. The only thing I had a problem with these headphone was with my Mac. My computer went to sleep, and when I woke it up, the sound on the headphone was completely messed up. All I had to do was turn the headphones off and re-pair them with the Mac, but I'm imagining this is something that might possibly be fixed by a Mac update, and it's definitely not a deal breaker considering the extremely reasonable price and the amazing quality of the product. Congrats Logitech, you've come out with one kick a** pair of headphones!!

Perfect for dictation; good for wireless music
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I’ve been using the Logitech wireless headset for about two weeks now, and have found them to be comfortable, lightweight and useful, with a reasonable battery life. I primarily use this headset with Dragon Express and Dragon Dictate, software that enables you to dictate into your computer. I am dictating this entire review using the Logitech headset. I have tried using other headsets for dictation, including more expensive ones from Logitech and Turtle Beach, but have found the H800 to be the optimal solution given its light weight, its USB connectivity (a necessity with Dragon) and its ease of use. Once you’ve removed the headset from its packaging (no mean trick), set up is easy and straightforward. Charging is done through a cable that attaches to your computer, and takes about three hours initially. Over the course of the past two weeks, I’ve found that the headset charge lasts approximately six hours after charging for about two hours. You can also charge the headset from a power outlet using an adapter from one of your other devices. I charge mine with an adapter that was designed for my Bose iPhone headset. The Logitech H800 offers the choice of USB or Bluetooth wireless connectivity. Bluetooth works great with my iPad and iPhone, but when connecting to my MacBook Pro I prefer to use USB. The USB dongle is a small-profile dongle that doesn’t get in the way when I leave it in the Mac and place the computer in my briefcase. Sound quality is fine, given the limitations imposed by the cost of the headset. Do they sound as good as a pair of Bose noise canceling headphones? Of course not. However, they are perfectly adequate for listening to music or audio books at a cost that is roughly one-third of the Bose. Plus they are wireless with a 40-foot range, whereas the Bose has a six-foot cord. In electronics, there are always tradeoffs, and I appreciate the convenience of being able to get up from my computer and go into another room with an uninterrupted signal. Dragon Express requires a USB connection as the Bluetooth signal is not sufficiently robust to power the software. In two weeks of using the H800 with Dragon Express, I have not seen a single incident where the microphone failed to pick up my speech. The noise-canceling function appeared to work quite well. The mic also folds out of the way inside the right ear cup, which is convenient when you’re just listening to music. Another factor you should consider before purchasing is the construction of the ear pads. The Logitech H800 uses flat, foam covered ear pads, which can get a little warm since they lay flat against your ears. I haven’t found this to be an issue – it’s just different from headsets that feature sculpted ear cups such as the Bose noise-canceling headset or the (much more expensive) Logitech G35s. For increased comfort, there’s also a piece of foam where the headset band rests against the top of your head. The headset offers a set of controls (volume, skip/fast forward/backward, volume and mute) built into the exterior of the right side ear cup. These worked fine, but as a practical matter I typically relied more on the controls on my computer than I did on those that are built into the headset. Since I’m a writer, and I rely on dictation software, this headset is on my head roughly 2 hours a day. Given the H800’s adjustability and padding, I have not experienced any discomfort, which is a key consideration when purchasing headsets. I’ve also found the speech recognition capabilities of the headset to be exceptional, and they are perfectly fine for listening to music or audio books. For the money, I haven’t seen anything that fits my needs better. Bluetooth connectivity is a plus when using my iPhone or iPad, and the headset seems to hold a reasonable charge. I would primarily recommend to anyone using dictation software and would also recommend to someone who wants the freedom of a USB or Bluetooth wireless connection when listening to music.

Posted .Hi PortusEgor, I am sorry that you are not happy with the H800. With laser-tuned drivers and built-in equalizer to keep distortion to a minimum, this should not be the case. Thank you for letting us know about your experience.
