    Very Good Bluetooth headset

I was surprised at the quality and performance of these bluetooth headphones. I bought a pair last year and was disappointed in them. They were more expensive than these but were cheaply made and the audio quality and range were pretty poor so I returned them. These provided a much better sound quality, coverage distance, and comfortable fit which I am very happy with.

    Great Headset (over Bluetooth)

This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.

To tell you the truth a pair of wireless headphones was the last thing I want, I had no need for them… That being said… I was wrong. These Things are great! I use them a lot more than I ever expected. The good (great things) about them: Sound quality (over Bluetooth): I think these things sound great. From reading other reviews I had read that the sound quality was not the best for this kind of music or that kind of music, so I tried it on a few different types. So I synced it to my iPod’s Bluetooth, and I first tried it out on some quieter acoustic things, listening to some Avett Brothers… no complaints. Some complaints came up about hissing in other reviews, but nothing there. I tested it a little further with something more complex: Kanye West’s “Gone”… The song switches between bass, quiet pianos, deep strings, high strings, etc… all sounded great. Sure the bass was not as rich as what it would be on a pair of Skullcandy Aviators, or Beats, but Logitech does not claim it will be as rich. I will warn that all my music is streamed through Spotify, so it is not CD quality, but when comparing the exact same audio coming through multiple devices (headphones, car radio, surround sound) the headphones are just as good if not better. Sound is also great with speech. Listening to audiobooks, podcasts, even phone calls… all good quality. Range: The box quotes about a 40-foot range; I must say I can agree with this. It was great being able to leave my phone in the bedroom and walk around the house with out the fear of a wire catching something while doing housework, or dipping into dishwater. I even walked outside in heavy Missouri winter winds, the headset lost connection, but when I entered my concrete basement it re-connected, and started right where it left off, with just as good of quality as when I was sitting right next to the iPod. Comfort: With thick padding on the ears and headband the headphones were some of the most comfortable I have tried yet. Portability: These things fold up just small enough to fit into a coat pocket (Shown below). The Battery lasts for some time, it does have to charge through a USB, which seems like it would be a pain, but it is few and far between needing a charge. Mic: I do not use the mic often, so it is nice that it folds up to be flush with the band, so when wearing them on the streets it doesn’t look like you are wearing a lame pair of computer headphones, but when the mic is needed it folds down and bends back and forth from the mouth with its flexible attachment. Ease of use: Easy to setup, nice large buttons, which are glove friendly for the winter. The not so good: Sound quality (over wireless receiver): The 2.4GHz does not carry the best sound with it. Maybe would be good for chatting, but any quality from music or game sound effects are lost. (So maybe get a Bluetooth dongle if you want to use it with a computer that does not have Bluetooth built in, seen below) Would have also been nice to have the option to plug in a 3.5mm jack in if you wanted to use them wired, for even better sound (like on the Beats design) Durability: Made of plastic, does not seem super durable. Only time will tell. Noise Isolation: Good sound, but that person you’re sitting next to on the plane will be able to hear it just a well as you can. No private conversations here. With the amount that I wrote on the good rather than the bad, I hope that it is conveyed that I really enjoyed these headphones. Though they had some flaws they are some of the most practical ones I have tried yet, in my long line of failed headphone solutions.

    Headset for home phone

Very comfortable, you have to do a little trial and error with the microphone to find the correct placement so that people on the other end can hear clearly but once you have it down it is great. Microphone piece is flexible and can be moved around to get it in the right spot for your head/mouth. This is very nice b/c everyone's voice carries differently and it helps so people can hear you clearly on the other end. The Best Buy rep. that helped me sold this to me to be compatible with my Bluetooth home phone but it does NOT work with cordless phones which was a disappointment. It does however work great with my cell phone and is a joy to have when on long conference calls. Range is decent but if you are going to move around while on a call I would recommend putting your cellphone in your pocket to avoid cutting out. Sometimes there is unexplained cutting out but it is not all that often so I can live with it. In my opinion the one downfall is that there is not a real good way to tell battery percentage before you get on a call and sometimes it starts to cut out and act funky in the middle of a conference call. That usually tells me that the battery light (which is located up on your earphone) has probably changed to yellow and the headset needs to be charged again. Remember to charge every night as battery duration is not that long and even if you didn't use it much the day before the next day it won't last for long if it wasn't charged overnight.

I had a Sony Bluetooth wireless PS3/PC headset that died and I needed a replacement I was considering the Logitech G930 but the H800 won me over. It can connect to a PC by either Dongle or Bluetooth and to other Bluetooth devices. I prefer the open ear design of the headset as it allows me to others who might be trying to get my attention while I have the headset on. It is lighter on the head and cooler to wear. The sound quality is quite good for gaming which my principle use. The microphone works well and is on the right side, which I prefer. The boom is flexible and swings out of the way when not needed. It has easy to use controls for volume and controlling your music player. The only problem I have had is that sometimes when you boot up the PC, the headset does not connect to the dongle provided. I have found though the simply unplugging the dongle for a few seconds and re-plugging it solves the problem and it only happens occasionally. I have noticed that not connecting to the dongle is a problem common to many wireless headsets. At least with the H800, it not a big deal. Overall, this is a very good headset and I would recommend it to anyone who wants a headset that will work on the PC as well as mobile bluetooth devices.

The Logitech H800 is pretty decent as wireless headphones go. The main draw is its ability to pair with your phone via Bluetooth, as well as you PC via a wireless adapter. This allows for easy switching between phone calls and Skype calls, or any other application that requires a mic (such as voice chat in video games). The range is a bit better than some of the cheaper Bluetooth headphones I've owned, and I've not run into any issues with it dropping connections or refusing to connect. Sound quality is good, though nowhere near what you'd get from wired headphones in the same price range. You're definitely paying for convenience as opposed to fidelity, and if sound quality is your primary concern, you might be disappointed. However, they work well enough that less discerning listeners will probably like them quite a bit, especially when compared to ear buds or speakerphone sound. They are lightweight, which is a plus, but the plastic feels thin and cheap. They have barely any clamping force, which means they fall right off my head if I look down abruptly. The band flexes a lot and I feel like I need to be extra careful with them, compared to the industrial studio headphones I normally use. Button placement is good, and the controls are responsive. I find the switch that goes from off to Bluetooth to (whatever the other wireless connection is called) is kind of fiddly, and I have to put some effort into selecting the correct mode. So overall, there are better sounding, more rugged headphones out there for the price. However, I needed these specifically for their ability to switch from phone to PC and back quickly and reliably, and for that, they do a great job. 4 stars, with a lot of caveats.

This headset attaches via USB and via Bluetooth. It has a switch to seamlessly switch between USB and Bluetooth. This has been extremely convenient for me, as i change between PC based video conferencing and cell phone usage in my day-to-day job. Headset is very comfortable. Charging is via micro-usb charger connection, and this connection is strictly for power - your computer cannot recognize the headset via this connection. Advertised battery life is longer than actual battery life, as i get maybe 5 hours of continued use without re-charging. Microphone appears to be pinned to be used only on the right side of the head.

There are very few headphones that work with Bluetooth. There are plenty of tiny headsets for cellphones but not suited for 8 hours of calls. Luckily this one is close to perfect. It's light and comfortable for what it is. It doesn't get hot on the ears. It's call quality on skype is as good as I've had on any device. It connects via Bluetooth dongle or directly over Bluetooth. I could not get it successfully connected to my laptop without dongle but I'm glad it ended up that way. It has a flip switch to use the dongle or just the Bluetooth. Once connected to my mobile phone, I can switch from computer to phone via the headphone switch. Awesome. The experience for whomever is on the other end is as good as any headset I've owned. This picks up my voice and suppresses other noise better. I have devices that can go further from source but this one is adequate. I can go to another room but not much further. I'd say it'll go 25 to 30 feet but I haven't tested without obstructing walls.

Pros: Good sound quality. Comfortable to wear. Love that they are wireless. Great price for being wireless compared to much higher priced ones. Cons: The battery life is decent but a bit to short for my usage. I like to listen to music while on the computer and find that I need to charge them more often and have to use 2 USB ports to do this and it's a bit of a hassle. Overall, still a good deal I think.

I love this device. It has excellent sound quality, it's comfortable to wear, and the microphone works great. It is missing one thing to be perfect in my mind... the unifying receiver. Hopefully the next generation has that built in. being able to switch between my tablet (Bluetooth) and computer(wireless receiver) is extremely convenient, but as ports decrease having a receiver for my mouse and keyboard(unify) and this device is annoying. I would still recommend this product to anyone looking for a office handset that is reasonably priced and works great. To top it off it has Bluetooth and a traditional wireless receiver which is really nice.

The Logitech H800 headset is really good. I use them everyday for work. We use Microsoft Lync for our conference call system. The headset works great. I also use them for watching Netflix. Nice all around sound. Last, I have paired it via Bluetooth with my Samsung Galaxy S4. It works great. There are a few things that could be improved. I only get about 5 hours of use on a full charge. The other thing that bugs me is the small power and wireless selector slide switch. It is a little small. I need to use my fingernail to slide it into position. One final note: The sound of your voice to others tends to be a bit echoing or speakerphone-like. Everyone can hear you just fine. I also have a wired Logitech headset and the voice quality is much better wired vs Bluetooth. If you are on the fence about buying, buy them. You will not regret the purchasing. Overall, I am very happy with the purchase.

These headsets work great, sound great and are comfortable. They do fit a little loose on my and I have a smaller head. Im female. The range is not quite as good as they say. I can only get about 10 yards and they break up pretty bad. But overall, if you stay in that range, they really work great!

A Solid Solid Wireless Headset with Multiple Uses

    Posted .
This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.

It's tough nowadays to find a good pair of headphones that you can use for a myriad of things like listening to music, watching movies, or even talking on the phone or via video chat. It's even harder to find a pair of headphones that can be used for these things without having to fumble with an annoying cord or a compatible audio jack. The Logitech H800 wireless headphones attempt to provide a remedy to the cord situation by freeing you from them while offering many use-case scenarios as well. Overall, they do a great job and should offer plenty of enjoyment for many users out there looking for a great, affordable pair of wireless headphones. I wanted to first talk a bit about the build quality of the headphones. After all, whats the use of having a great pair of headphones if they're just going to feel flimsy and breakable after just a few uses? I'm happy to say that the Logitech H800 headset is solid enough for the average user. It's body is made out of plastic, but it's quite sturdy. On top of that, there's some nice cushioning for extra comfort while wearing them on the headband itself. These headphones don't surround your ears. Rather, they are the conventional "over-the-ear" type of headphones, so they wont cancel out background noise too well. That's important to keep in mind, especially if you're someone who takes trips on airplanes a lot or spends a lot of time listening to music in a busy, loud environment. The included microphone that extends from the headset at the user's desire is a bit flimsy for my tastes, but it does the job. Just make sure you don't bend it too far, as it feels as though it could break. The functionality of the headset is quite good, as it offers plenty of options for basic phone and computer functions. You'll be able to answer calls, pause and skip music tracks, increase volume, and even store the small USB receiver right on the headset itself. It's quite convenient and works very well with my testing. One cool thing about the headset is that it offers a couple of different ways to interact with your electronic devices. First off, it's bluetooth compatible, so you can easily sync it up with your phone, tablet, or even computer. Sound quality through bluetooth is absolutely fantastic, and signal strength is great as well. In my testing, I was able to connect my HTC Rezound to the headphones via bluetooth and still get signal strength and great sound from across the house. Making calls from the headphones with the microphone was fantastic as well, as callers could hear me very clearly and I had no problems hearing them. On the other hand, if your computer doesn't have bluetooth, the headset comes with a small USB receiver that is very similar to those included with wireless mice and keyboards. I had no problems connecting the headset with that either, and it worked flawlessly on my Windows 7 PC. Sound quality through the receiver, however, was not so good. More on that later. In order to have a great pair of headphones, sound quality must be pretty good, especially if you're paying a hefty price. That being said, the Logitech H800 headset offered fantastic audio quality over bluetooth. Music was crisp and clear, and bass response was also sufficient. Even at the highest volumes, I didn't hear any crackling or distortion. The same cannot be said, however, when listening to music or watching video through the USB receiver on my Windows 7 PC. It seemed as though when the volume was increased, I could hear faint crackling and distortion with sound. It became especially apparent when there was a lot of bass or heavy guitar riffs in music. It's not as noticeable with video playback, but it's bothersome nonetheless. Overall, I'd say that the Logitech H800 is a great, affordable pair of wireless headphones for the average consumer. They offer great portability with their fold-up feature, and they serve many uses.

While these headphones aren't audiophile, they work well for what I need. I use them at work with the supplied USB dongle (that PC doesn't have bluetooth) to listen to music and podcasts, and also as a headset for webex (conference calls). I also use them at home with my bluetooth enabled Laptop for conference calls. I have a big head, and some headphones are too tight. These are comfortable for me. Only downside might be the battery life, giving me about 6 hours on a charge, however they can still be used while plugged in to a USB charging port with a long enough cord, just not as portable.

I've had this headset for a few months. It has been great with working from home - especially with a computer where the microphone and speakers were not great on their own. People have told me that it sounds much better when using this than the computer or a pair of bluetooth headphones (which also had a bit of log). It has been comfortable to wear for several hours of calls during the day. My couple of knocks on this: - wish the battery life was a little longer. On those days where you may be on calls ALL DAY LONG, it may not make it the full day. I am not someone taking calls all day - mostly conference call meetings. I have definitely had to plug this in to charge each night. Also, if I happen to have a break between calls I also switch it off. - wish the range was a bit better when connected to the receiver. Doesn't go the full 33 feet before starting to cut out. It seems to go a bit further on bluetooth vs the receiver. This is more of a convenience thing for me as it has the advertised range of most headsets. - I don't like that it doesn't have a storage spot for the receiver like the H600 does. This would be especially handy if moving between offices (post Covid). - Last knock is that the mute button does not seem to work when connected via bluetooth on a computer. Works just fine when bluetooth connected to my phone or to the usb receiver, but not when connected via bluetooth to the computer. This sounds like a lot of knocks, but these are really mostly just convenience things, so that knocks it down a star for me. Overall though when using the headset, it is great.

The Logitech H800 is a well rounded Bluetooth AND/OR Non-Bluetooth wireless in one headset. It provides great audio from both inbound and outbound audio. The unit is very light on the head and has sufficient padding. It travels well as it conveniently folds and stores into a drawstring bag provided in the box. The battery lasts a normal work day. I used one of these for over a year and it was a solid performer. This is the second unit that I have purchased. I accidentally damaged the 1st unit, the mini USB port on the headset will not take much abuse, so care must be taken when charging this unit with the provided USB to Mini-USB cable. For only the reason of the fragility of the Headset charging port did I give the unit 4 stars instead of 5. With that being said, I would still highly recommend this headset.

The battery life (1 charge) is not enough to wear these (in wireless mode) all day, but the sound is good and the option of connecting via Bluetooth or their own RF dongle is convenient and makes them more portable. They also work nicely while connected via USB to charge. One thing I would very much like to see improved is the size and brightness of the "ON" indicator light. I find it all too easy to set them down and leave them on all night, so have to use the headphones plugged in for the first few hours of the day.

Let's face it, this headset is getting a little long in the tooth. However there are still few that compete with it at this price range, aside from a few gaudy "gaming" branded ones. You have to pay double for similar "brand name" headsets. The good: - Very low profile compact design - Good sound quality, especially used with the dongle in hi-res mode - Bluetooth and wireless dongle connectivity options - Great battery life in bluetooth mode - I've managed up to 2 days without turning it off. - The battery is replaceable and there is built-in storage for the dongle The bad: - Controls only work with the wireless dongle on Windows. - Sound quality in bluetooth mode is not great. - Battery life when used with the dongle (hi-res mode) is only a about 4 hours. - The on/off/mode switch is tiny and flimsy. You have to pay attention when you use it. - Can only be paired with one device at a time.

Overall, these work quite well. The plastic feels a little cheap (like it may break with extended usage), and the earpads just sit on your ears (not cupping over the ears like I'm used to and would like for further noise dampening), which is why I deducted one star. Pros: - Very lightweight and comfortable - Fold up compactly, so I just leave them in my computer bag when not in use - Work on both Bluetooth and with a dongle (which makes it exceedingly easy to use with multiple computers) - The dongle is very small, so I just leave it plugged into my laptop all the time (I used to have a Plantronics set with a dongle about the size of a USB "thumb dive." I had to remove it put put my laptop in the bag, and eventually lost the dongle. Which is why I bought these) - Decent sound quality Cons: - Plastic feels a bit cheap, so I'm afraid they may eventually break from getting jostled around in my computer bag - Mic quality is OK... it's fine for teleconferencing, but not high enough quality that I feel I can use it for video recordings - Earphones just sit on the ears, not over the ears (this is personal preference, you may like them fine) Summary: They aren't perfect, but they are the best I've found for what I want: Easy-to-travel with, good quality sound, and wireless. They are my "go to" headphones, and use them at my desk and when out and about with my laptop.

These are light weight, good voice clarity to other end and good clear reception. battery lasts about 4-6 hours, with lots of chatting. Hands free, can step away , good range 100 ft or so. Down side is the recharge port and connection. The metal that retains the usb plug-in for charging is lousy., If headset is dropped or bumped while charge cable is plugged in it seems to expand the female portion of the port to make connecting loose.. Took two replacement batteries to finally realize that the battery wasn't actually bad, in fact the connection area doesn't maintain connectivity to charge the battery. Now I set the headset to the side, with a little tension on charge connection cable, and make sure to get the battery to charge up. You can see the light display flashing when charging is happening. Logitech support and I have gone round and round not fun to deal with AT ALL. All said and done I tried 4 other top of the line, wireless, Bluetooth headset -- , in ear isn't my thing, head back wrap over ear wasn't comfortable, sound quality wasn't as good, so nothing better I could find, and these were about 50 to $100 cheaper. With a little more care , think the connector can be dealt with. would give 5 stars if didn't have to be so careful with that port, and their support was worth anything. May want to consider the extended warranty (wouldn't normally) so you can just take them back If connector expands over a couple years.
