    The set up process was difficult to accomplish. The Hub would not connect to the Wi-Fi correctly. (Why does the TV remote even need to connect to the wifi network?) This is despite testing the network connection with other wireless devices (ig, the phone) and the exact same password, and testing in different locations. According to the router the hub was connected, so I assume the setup software just kept crashing. If you download the PC software, you have to create your account in the software (all the desktop software is doing is connecting to a website) so if you have a browser password manager it cannot automatically fill or save the account creation. If you forget your password, you cannot retrieve your account information by email due to a flaw in the Harmony PC software. It also does not specify that the Harmony app (which previously used its own Harmony account) now just uses your Logitech account. After you retrieve your account info and put it into the desktop software, you then get an application error message and you have to reset the Harmony software. Then, after being setup by the software about 2-3 times, it will actually make a connection with the wi-fi network and will say its all set up. But when you go to the harmony app likes it directs you to, nothing works.

      Hello. Thank you for taking the time to share your experience and concerns with the Harmony Elite. I'm sorry to hear that the set up process was not the easiest due to the problems connecting to WiFi. The Hub connects to Wifi because it can control all of your smart home devices as well as Bluetooth, RF and IR devices. The online account helps when there are issues and using the online community (which is very responsive and helpful). If you are still having trouble setting up all of your devices, please visit the community and most questions are answered there.
