Doesn’t work consistently. Slow activating changes. Might have been better off using multiple remotes.

This my second remote from Logitech. I used the previous one without much of a problem for 10 years. This revised remote is not as user friendly and changing channels, paging up/down (common uses) are a pain to access. There are too many steps involved to change a channel.

We had the Harmony One Remote and were very happy with it. After many years it had to be replaced. We chose the Harmony Elite because it supposedly is a great product. The touchscreen can be very tricky, easy to hit the wrong button and sometimes it responds very slow. Sometimes when using one of the memorized channels it only puts in part of the number. There have been times when no one is touching the remote and it changes activities.

It’s kinda difficult to program. The touch screen is a good touch, but it’s over sensitive, which causes me to choose the wrong selection.

Waiting a month to get geek squad to come and teach us how to use!! I’m sure the product will be great once we know how to use.

I had Geek Squad set up my home theatre and program the Harmony Elite universal remote. When I changed passwords on my eero w-fi system, the remote didn't work and Geek Squad had to come back and re-program. I consider myself fairly tech-savvy, but this remote has been frustrating to learn and use. Most of the time, I just use the individual remotes for my tv and components. Hopefully will have more time to play with and figure it out.

    Very buggy

This remote has the right idea but the setup is too buggy. For example, I have tried to set up the remote to go straight to "Turn on Disney Jr" (for my son) or "Turn on EPL" when I want to watch soccer first thing in the morning with just the push of 1 button. Once I program one of these functions, the remote forgets the previous one. Likewise, it also forgets all the favorite channels I just put in. It's probably just a bug that programmers need to fix but its a big fail in my book and makes the remote not worth the heavy price tag. Also, another issue is that when I change the volume, the TV thinks I have changed inputs or something as it always pops up and shows that I am on HDMI 3. Its annoying, frustrating, and unnecessary. I'll be taking this remote back and maybe give it another shot in 6 months or so after the bugs are hopefully fixed. As of right now though, it is not worth the price for the functions I want it for. Also has issues staying connected with my PS4 Pro through Bluetooth.

Hi willthefabulous1, thank you for your purchase of this Harmony remote and sorry to see you're experiencing issues with the remote. Currently, Harmony supports "Starting Channel" feature in only one Activity. If you select a new Starting Channel in another Activity the previous Starting Channel will be removed. Instead selecting a new "Starting Channel", I'd recommend you to add the required Channel Numbers in the Activity Startup Sequence. Refer this article [http://support.myharmony.com/en/adding-commands-when-an-activity-starts-or-ends] for steps.

With regards to your other concerns, I'd request you to email your Harmony login id to [email protected] with more information on the difficulties you're experiencing and we'll be happy to help. Looking forward to hearing from you.

Best regards, Peter, Harmony Team LogiCC

Complicated to set up, and did not initially work correctly. After two Geek Squad visits and more practice, it works pretty well.

It works for the most part. It’s one of the best universal remotes out there but not worth the price in my opinion.

So I purchased this item to work with my Amazon Echo, and it did to a very small extent. it was literally able to turn on my tv and turn off my tv. I couldn't get it to change inputs in order to watch my Apple TV, and when I was on Apple TV, I couldn't get it to change HDMI inputs to go back to cable. when I was on Cable, I tried telling it to watch ESPN, but it wouldn't do that even though I had it setup to do so. it would turn to a channel if I said the number, but that being said, it still needs a lot time before it'll work effectively with Alexa. as far as the remote itself goes, it's a good remote and worked fairly well by itself. I purchased it with the intent of getting it to work with Alexa, but that was definitely a very bad experience. Logitech advertises on their web page that it works with Alexa, and it will, but definitely not seamlessly, and not without serious frustration. I returned mine and will not purchase another Harmony remote.

Have apple 4k and YouTube TV (No cable) and not worth the expense as all you can do is turn the TV/Receiver/Apple TV on.. You can't set shortcuts or really utilize what this should be used for. Definitely save your money unless you have a full smart house and regular cable TV.. I was just trying to replace the apple tk tv remote which I hate and then have one controller for everything.

This Logitech - Harmony Elite Universal Remote - Black was another headache. It was so difficult to program. It did not ever work correctly and was so frustrating. Therefore, we returned the unit and received a refund. This was our second attempt at getting a remote that would work with our TV. We decided to continue using the two separate remotes we have -- one that came with the TV we purchased at Best Buy and the one that came with our Fios set-up.

Awesome universal remote, however it is not very user-friendly. Still have to use component remotes for some functionality.

Had problems early on w/ the Roku icons not showing up correctly (eventually resolved), the touch menu is extremely sensitive, so it's easy to accidentally hit the wrong button... and now, less than 3 months later, it doesn't work at all. Their e-mail based support is courteous, but it can take 1 - 2 days in-between each "try this" step, and at this point, they've just shrugged their virtual shoulders and said that they'd get back to me when they have another idea for me to try. I now own a few-hundred dollar paperweight. Don't make the same mistake I did.
