Posted .Hello Chris, Very sorry to hear that you found it not easy to program the Harmony Elite. Set up is supposed to be easy via the use of the Harmony app, which you can download for free by visiting the iTunes App Store or Google Play store. Avoid at all costs!

It was probably really nice to have 5 years ago. Now, it doesn't work with modern home theater equipment, the software is buggy, and the look and feel are dated. Hard pass. I returned this after trying to get it to work, and I'm a very technical person.

A complete dud

The remote was completely unreliable when it came down to operating my barely one year old LG tv. At times it would work, but most of the time it wouldn’t. Even with IR blasters, I could not get it to operate my Bose Soundbar 700. My Directv receiver was nice controlled by it though.

Confusing remote control!

Very confusing, doesn’t always connect to TV. Very touchy, when picked up sometimes goes to random channels! The infrared light doesn’t always work very frustrating, have wanted to throw it out the window on several occasions! Even my young adult children who are tech savvy have a problem programming it! I do not recommend!!!

Non-Intuitive

Doesn't that tell you something about the product longevity? Honestly, this is the least intuitive piece of technology I've had since a 199x cell phone. Apple, please, please make a universal remote and soon. Sorry, but this is not a great product, and if this is as good as it gets, then there's a lot of room for improvement.

Don’t waste your money.

Had to SLOW down wifi speed to set up. 12-year-old computer’s operating system was too new of a release to use in set-up. Go figure. Had an earlier generation of this product that served me well. This one went back to the store.

Poor service

Until today most of the apps on my apple TV do not work. The audio does not work. I am waiting for the technician from Geek Squad to come and fix it. They keep on re-scheduling the service appointments.

Challenging to use

Piece of Crap

It stopped working within 5 minutes of GeekSquad finishing installing it. Spent 2 hours on the phone with Harmony tech support and the remote functioned even less than before I placed the call. Tech support gave up and escalated the issue; still have not called m back to fix the problem. Returned the remote to Best Buy and I will never purchase another.

It's ok
