    Love it

I've been using a Harmony 650 for a few years. It works well, but since it is only IR, I have to point it towards my entertainment unit as it turns on various components one at a time. I also have to point it at the components when changing the function, channel, volume, etc. This remote doesn't need to point at anything, the hub does. The setup could not have been much easier. I loaded the Harmony app to my Android phone, and also already had the Harmony program on my home computer. I went into the software on my pc and added the new remote and clicked on the option to copy my existing functions and components setup to this unit. Piece of cake. After reading reviews of this unit I ended up getting the 2-year extended warranty just in case it goes out on me.

    Harmony is garbage

I wish i could give zero stars. This product worked fine for our Samsung tv. We bought a new one, also from best buy - it will no longer work. The guys who vame to do the install - $800 install - said we could login to the site and update, have no problems. Not the case. Cannot get anyone to help. Spent 20k plus at best buy this year alone. Not another dollar until this is resolved.

    Great Remote

I purchased multiple components, 4K TV, receiver, Xbox 1, turntable, speakers, Sonos connect, etc. and wanted one remote to control everything. Fortunately the Geek Squad did the install and most importantly the programming of the remote. No issues thus far, and I must say that I purchased a Harmony remote over ten years ago and had a multitude of issues, not the least of which was charging the unit. The charging cradle would not accept the remote without fiddling around and for unknown reasons would often disconnect in the middle of the night, beeping constantly, thankfully the new Harmony has a different system for charging and it works well.

    At long last!

This is the answer to the problem of too many remotes. Simple to configure and it uses RF to communicate between the remote and the hub unit which in turn communicates with all of the devices in your system via IR, RF (bluetooth, wifi, etc) as needed. It is easy to expand or edit activities. It also integrates with Alexa, Google and Smartthings hubs. I am now slowly adding voice control from Alexa/Smartthings. The remote is lighted and sits on a charge base when not in use. I bought one for my theater and will be buying another for the family room system soon.

Works, not as good as Harmony one

The remote works but is more complicated than my old Harmony one, it requires more key punches use effectively. There is no number pad (requires extra key strokes) and the thirty second skip buttons are missing (directv). The markings on the remote are small and very hard to read. My wife wants big print, she hates it..

    Best Harmony Yet

So, I've had a total of 4 different versions of harmony remotes. This setup is the best yet. The hub, remote, smartphone, and alexa makes it so easy and fun to control your devices. I was initially concerned about the hub controlling my devices in an entertainment center since they are spread out and divided by cubicles. It had no problem with just the hub and one extra IR node. I was really impressed. Also the setup of the entire harmony gear was so simple. If you have multiple remotes laying around, do yourself a favor and try this remote. Oh, and don't forget to bring Alexa along too.

All in all - pretty good

I got this to control my new tv, sound system, roku, bluray, and home automation. My main complaint with it is controlling Roku - you can't use voice search on the logitech, which makes Roku a bit tough to navigate. Granted I'm lazy, but speaking is the best way to find what you're looking for on Roku. I wouldn't take the remote back because I can just keep my little Roku remote next to me, but it sure would be nice...

    Good remote, but not great

I got this remote as a replacement for my Harmony One. So far it's pretty good, but I wouldn't say it's a huge upgrade from the One. For those who totally addicted to your tablet and phones, this remote is definitely for you as you could do everything the remote does with your portable devices. But you can also do this with the cheaper version of Harmony without spending big buck for the same functionality

    Excellent remote

This remote is a great remote for both home entertainment systems and home automation. Set up was really easy and simple on the computer. I was able to transfer my old remote settings to this one very easily. Once I was done with my entertainment system I was able to easily connect this to my Samsung Smartthings Hub to be able to control my lights. Only minor issue I have had was I did not get it placed in the charging cradle fully so it did not charge, a simple pull it out and reseating it in the charging cradle fixed that.

Needed for mastery over all your wi-fi devices

This remote will control your home if you have it wi-fi enabled. Things like Smart TV's, cable boxes, soundbars, thermostats, lights, door looks, and Amazon Echo can all be set up using "Activities". The phone app guides you through what you want to do and tests the function before committing (syncing) to the remote. Of course this means you can use the app on your phone if the remote isn't handy. The only fiddly bit was pairing with the Echo since I was asking Echo to control the remote.

Harmony was better before the Logitech takeover

    Posted .

Yes, it looks slick, yes, it is LOADED with features, but ultimately this is a step backward from previous Harmony remotes (of which I've been a long-time fan). The biggest thing: The help button and activity buttons are gone from the remote. Yes, this cleans it up, and makes it look slick, but it is a step backward for ease of use. You now have to click "activities" to see the activities on the touchscreen. ...and what when your activity doesn't set everything up properly? Now you have to go hunting for the help button via the touchscreen, to get your components straightened out. These were two of the most key "value" aspects of Harmony remotes, and Logitech removed both. All of the other improvements, particulary the hub, with little "satellite" IR emitters, and native support for PS3 (bluetooth) are great though. They allow you to use the remote from anywhere, and you could have your components inside cabinets, not visible, and they would still all work. ...but bring back the things that made Harmony great.

    Too glitchy to recommend

This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.

Setting up isn’t too difficult. Using it is pretty easy. That’s the three stars rating in a nutshell. BUT! The hub needs to be placed just so. If it’s moved (via dusting or adding/removing electronic equipment) then one or more of your devices won’t work. The touchpad is capricious. Sometimes you have to press firmly and other times you can just barely brush it and it sends a command you didn’t mean to. Since it stopped recording the Super Bowl with a casual, unintentional brush of my hand, I threw the darned thing in the garbage. If I wanted temperamental equipment I’d purchase RCA or some other garbage brand.

    nice but not very useful

I bought this to cut down from 4 controllers to one. It is a good remote and does what it says. Easy to set up and use. Problem is you need to push to many buttons to get to what you want. You need to jump back and forth. So one setting won't let you control; volume so you need to jump to the one that does for example. Even my simple 4 controllers allow you to control all the basic from one. The screen is nice but if you want to scroll down on the screen if you press to hard while scrolling it will activate something else like turn off the tv and you need to go back. Nice idea but not worth 250 bucks. for that money it needs to be a lot easier to use. I returned it. Easier just to use my 4 controllers.

This remote was the easiest to program or of all other universal remotes i have owned. You can use your computer to program it or your smart phone. I used my phone. What made it even better was i had an account for my other Logitech remote and i just copied my settings to my new remote. If you have a nest thermostat or hue lighting you can control them also with this remote. GREAT REMOTE!!

    Great remote, weak battery

I bought this remote to replace a Harmony One and it's an upgrade in every way but one, battery life. With heavy use, you might get three or four days before having to use the charging dock. Other than that, perfect remote.

I love Harmony remotes, which I've used since around 2003. This one is very nice and controls all my components, plus my Philips Hue lights, reliably with no issues so far. I love the iPhone app, it allows one to set everything up and modify things without having to connect to a computer.

I've own 4 different Harmony/Logitech remotes, and though I reluctantly am having to replace my all time favorite Harmony One+, this remote is AMAZING!!! Works right out of the box, simply transferred my One+ remote settings and within minutes replaced it. Highly recommend this remote if you can afford it, as it does all you need it to and more.

stay away - waste of money

This was recommended by Geek Squad, when I asked them to build a home theater system, was charged $50 to program. I was told, they will comeback within 6 months if there is any issues. Stopped working after few weeks. Called back geek squad, person installed wouldn't return my call. Called geek squad, they put me to Customer service, who put me to service dept. no one would help, just passing the buck. Service dept want to charge me $100 now to reprogram. Frustrated eventually I managed to program it myself, still I have issues and have to use TV remote to turn on/off. Amplifier wouldn't work with this remote either. Stay away from this product, great idea if it works, but waste of money.

The Harmony Elite remote is a lifesaver. It is so simple to install, and controls virtually every one of our entrainment devices (plus a lot of other smart items) Thule eliminating the need for multiple remotes.

Setting up this remote was a breeze. I downloaded the app to my iPhone, configured the internet connection, added my devices, and programmed the activities in under 15 minutes! I highly recommend this remote to anyone looking to reduce clutter on their living room or family room table. Logitech does it again!
